Our arrangement was simple—just physical and definitely no falling in love. That seemed easy enough until a positive pregnancy test changed everything. He’s loud, crude, sexy, and can cook and he’s bound and determined to make me his, but I’ve been burned before and if I let him in, and things don’t work out for us, well, it’s more than just my heart on the line.
Can I push past my issues to open my heart to that big beautiful man? As we navigate this unfamiliar terrain his enthusiasm begins to knock down the walls I’ve always kept around me, but we keep hitting obstacles that could ruin everything we’re trying to build.
Am I strong enough to battle my own demons to move forward to a future that could promise to be everything I could’ve hoped for?
A Midwesterner and self-proclaimed nerd, Evan has been an avid reader most of her life, but five years ago got bit by the writing bug, and it quickly became her addiction, passion and therapy. When the voices in her head give it a rest, she can always be found with her e-reader in her hand. Some of her favorites include, Shayla Black, Jaci Burton, Madeline Sheehan and Jamie Mcguire. Evan finds a lot of her inspiration in music, so if you see her wearing her headphones you know she means business and is in the zone.
During the day Evan works for a large homecare agency and at night she’s superwoman. She’s a wife to Jim and a mom to Ethan and Evan, a cook, a tutor, a friend and a writer. How does she do it? She’ll never tell.
Really Evan? Seriously?? Can't decide who I love more. Mona and Joaquin or Sierra and Nick. Oh who am I kidding? I loved them all and if I could've reach in the book, Staci would've gotten a throat punch. Evan's words flow so beautifully. I read this book in one sitting? Can't wait for Heidi's story.
Stencil is a love story that draws you in and claims your heart. Nick and Sierra have an arrangement, one where love has no place to be. When an unexpected surprise changes the definition of their relationship, feelings will finally be brought to the forefront. Old scars that tattoos can’t even cover rear their ugly head clouding decisions and resulting in bad choices and words said in the heat of the moment. This second book in the Sugar and Spice, Ink series will have you on the edge of your seat and your emotions swaying from heartbreak to heartwarming. Nick will make you swoon and together this pair will set the pages on fire. A passionate read filled with love, revelations and happiness.
WOW!!! These characters are so wonderful to read. Sierra & Nick are hooking up, no falling in love, just $ex. Yeah right, like nothing is going to happen.....Yes it’s a cliche, but beautifully written hookup to lovers romance. I loved how Nick is to Sierra, it made my heart swoon! This book was low angst, sweet, hot & wow the chemistry was so well written. I wasn’t ready for this story to end, but the intriguing look into the next book in this series keeps me no so patiently waiting for more. These strong, sassy, stubborn woman from Sugar & Spice Ink have me wishing I was part of their world.
BAM!!!! Sugar and Spice Ink is one of my favorite series. The reason? Because it just proves that you cannot judge a book by it's cover. Sierra's story was just amazing. And Nick stole my heart and now own it. I love that the 4 sister's own their own tattoo studio, they are covered in ink and are all stunning. But more then that they each have a heart of gold. Sierra and Nick's story is a great one. Who knew that a playboy and a commitment phob could change their ways
Nick is just a real considerate man, "...she’s still nauseated a lot. Especially if she smells something bad, which means I use a bathroom far away from her when I have to … well, you know." Nick's compliments are so original, “you make me so crazy,” I tell her. “I swear I’m constantly fighting getting hard when you’re around.” I liked this book, I loved Nick.
Boy this book just reminded me why I love this series. This is Sierra and Buck's book. Sierra is very guarded when it comes to matters of the heart. Nick just wants Sierra to take a chance on him. This book packs a punch and I absolutely loved reading it.
Sierra did not plan on getting pregnant, especially with her no strings attached lover Nick. What she does not expect is for Nick to be on board and want to take their relationship to the next level. The only hurdle in their path though is Sierra and the insecurity she still carries from her past. Can Sierra move past it or will she continue to see Nick as another person who will let her down?
I liked this, I think Nick was head over heels in love with Sierra but because her walls were up it was hard for him to go full in initially. I liked Sierra a lot, a times got a bit frustrated with her but she was feeling vulnerable. Anxious for the next book, certainly a lot of bread crumbs to peak your interest for it. Great read.
I absolutely adore this book! Stencil is the second book in the series and it is absolutely fantastic. Evan is brilliant at what she does. She creates a world that’s beautiful and realistic with characters that have depth and flaws.
We met both Nick and Sierra in the first story. We know that they immediately hit it off and have some sort of thing going on. Nick has been known as a player, a womanizer and a manwh*%e...until he laid eyes on Sierra. From that moment on, he knew that she was special, she was worth it and she might just be the one.
Sierra is skittish. She’s immediately attracted to Nick and jumps on the idea of having an “arrangement” with him. On and then off, they go back and forth and she knows she leading him on. It’s hurts though, her past. The scars that still feel so fresh. She was burned, badly and made a fool of and she’s not looking to change that may time soon.
And then there’s two lines on that stick. A baby changes everything. Nick is ecstatic and jumps on the chance to prove that she is his and together is where they all should be. It’s a bumpy ride. Past insecurities are hard to overcome and certain obstacles that jump in their way could cause those walls that are crumbling around her heart to be built back up.
This is definitely a book that you want to read, and a series of beautiful and bada** women that you should devour.
I received a review copy before release for an honest review.
This is book 2 in a series and it can stand alone but you really should read book 1 first as that is when the characters are introduced. This is Nick and Sierra's story. Sierra is a colorful tattoo artist, her ex was gay and she found that out when she caught him with his lover, since then she only has sexual relationships. And that is what she shares with Nick, her sisters boyfriends best friend.
Nick is really into Sierra but she keeps dumping him and he keeps coming back for more and that is what happens when Sierra finds out she is pregnant. Let me tell you my favorite scene in the book is when she confesses this to him. It was so epic.
Nick is a busy fella, he owns 3 restaurants and a football team and he is surounded by temptation. Though he is really into Sierra, Staci a cheerleader is a big problem. #2 is Nick is kinda stupid about putting himself into bad situations.
And Sierra comes with a suitcase of baggage. She has a hard time with trust and that is really what this book is about. Her learning to trust her heart and Nick and Nick learning he needs to not get into bad situations.
I absolutely LOVED the first book in the series and this book was pretty awesome too. I am a new reader of this author and I really love her writing style.
I absolutely fell in love with Nick and Sierra. If you haven't read Realism, I'd recommend reading that first since that's where all the characters are introduced and Mona and Joaquin make frequent appearances throughout this book. Going in, I knew Nick and Sierra had a strictly physical relationship, but they ended up with quite the surprise. While Sierra did the right thing, Nick kind of made a mess of their situation right off the bat. Cue me falling in love with Nick the moment he realizes what he's done. It absolutely blew my mind (in a good way) to see a male character step up and go with the flow. Of course, both Nick and Sierra knew their relationship was more, but Sierra was still hesitant. Over the course of the story, they hit some bumps in the form of Nick's family, Staci (boo!), and Sierra's hangups from her past. Together they navigate it all and get their HEA. Another winner from Evan Grace, I'm ready for Heidi's book!
The second book in this series has completely lived up to what I was hoping to find! As much as I loved Joaquin and Mona, Nick and Sierra leave their angsty love and bumpy road in the dust. Nick and Sierra have had a push-and-pull relationship because of fears and past hurts, but once that plus sign appears, Nick is all in. The only problem? Sierra is still hiding part of her heart behind a brick wall lined in shards of glass. They have their share of arguments, misunderstandings, and pain to get past, but once they do? Oh, it’s a beautiful life ahead.
Honestly, I wanted to slap Nick a few times, just as I wanted to shake Sierra for keeping a seemingly unimportant secret about an encounter that helped blow everything up. The blowup was worth it though, because sometimes it takes a huge lie-perceived-as-truth to bring logic and thought into the fallout to repair things. I can’t wait for the next sister’s story now, because I’m pretty sure it’ll be an even more emotional read.

This is my first book by Grace and I was pleasantly surprised. I thought that the story was original. Sienna and her sisters run a pretty successful tattoo shop and Nick owns a few restaurants and co owns a football team. Nick and Sienna went into their arrangement as a physical only but life had other plans. Nick is certain that he wants to build a life with Sienna but he also knows that she is skiddish due to her last relationship so he wants to take it slow and give her time to come around. Sienna had to work past her past hurts in order for her relationship with Nick to work. I thought the story was fasted paced. There was a lot of cameos from the siblings. If you are looking for a story with a strong female, a swoon worthy male, and great supporting characters that take you on a beautiful yet bumpy journey this is the book for you.
It felt like I waited forever to get my hands on the second book in the Sugar and Spice, Ink series, but after just finishing the story it was definitely worth the wait. Sierra & Nick's relationship was purely based on the physical. It was all Sierra could offer him after a past relationship burned her badly. She does play with his emotions a fair bit in this book, but she is just trying to keep herself from getting hurt again. So much happens in this book, and if you read the blurb you will know about the surprise pregnancy. Bu there is so much more to this tory that that. Yes it is an integral part of the storyline but it is the way both Nick and Sierra change and grow that makes this book special for me. Hopefully I won't have to wait too long for the next book. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book
Evan Grace is back with the highly anticipated second standalone book in her steamy sweet Sugar and Ink series and oh my goodness y'all! If you thought you looooooved book one, Realism (I know I did! 🙌), just want til you get your hands on this nugget. MY FAVE SUBGENRE!
Stencil is Nick and Sierra's story. What is supposed to be simple and uncomplicated between them becomes so much more when everything changes in one moment.
Sexy. Sweet. Swoony. Unexpected in the very best ways. Enough angst to keep you hanging on. Evan stole my heart with all of her beautiful words and kept me hooked until the very last word in Stencil.
Evan is a must read author for me. I've not read everything by her but I've read enough to know she's amazeballs.
With this being the second book in the series i couldn't wait to get my hands on it. Evan has done it again i love her writing, the flow of the book was at a good pace and i loved every minute of it. Her books for me bring out all the feelings in the world, what should have started out with friends with benefits soon changed for Sierra and Nick, both have the chemistry between the two that are on the top of the charts, you can see the love starting to form for the two of them, doesn't mean that they didn't hit bumps in the road but it's everything to me when you see that they get their HEA. thank you for another book that I loved.
After the way that Sierra’s last relationship ended, she is determined to never feel that pain and heartbreak again. She shares a friends with benefits relationship with Nick and that is all she wants until one test changes everything.
Nick has a reputation with the ladies but from the moment he met Sierra he knew that she was special. Now that two are about to become three he is determined to convince her that they belong together and she can trust him with her heart.
There is no denying that Sierra and Nick are perfect for each other but their journey definitely has its ups and downs as they try to handle what life has thrown at them as a couple.
This story grabbed me from the first paragraph and didn't let go! Take one playboy and one commitment shy woman, throw in a purely physical relationship that could be so much more and a dash of surprise and you get this story! Nick is pure book boyfriend material and Sierra is her own woman. I loved that Sierra had enough self worth that she would remove herself from a situation that wasn't positive for her, you don't get to see that much lately. The epilogue gave me the one little piece I was waiting for to make my heart happy.
Once again Evan Grace did not disappoint. I loved the first book in this series and ever since I was excited to read Sierra and Nick’s book.
Sierra was hurt in the past and decides that all she wants from a man is a no strings attached relationship. She finds that with nick but it soon becomes more. I don’t want to give too much away but the love between these two was amazing. This book had me laughing at times and broke my heart at others....but in the absolute best way.
If I could give this more than 5 stars I would in a heartbeat. I can’t wait to read Heidi’s book!
This was another solid story in this series! Nick and Sierra have chemistry together but do they have what it takes to be together in the long run? Nick surprised me in this book. He was a ladies man who doesn't want to settle down until Sierra came along. He then became the perfect person to be with Sierra. She, however, doesn't quite believe he will be there for her. Their story is sweet and hot and definitely worth reading! Can't wait to see what comes next!
Thank you for the privilege of reading this book! Well done ❤️
Loved this story and the sisters tattoo parlor makes the perfect base. Nick is the eternal playboy and Sierra enjoys her casual relationship with him because she has been hurt before. Nick has wanted more with her but when she is forced to want more with him all of her insecurities show up. Her sisters are right by her side but Nick is the one who forces her to take a look at her life. Love Nick and Sierra together and I am looking forward to book 3.
I fell in love with Sierra in book one of this series and was really excited to read her story. Nick, while he makes mistakes, is a hot, alpha male who will do anything for Sierra. Love their rollercoaster of a relationship, even though I wanted to smack both of them many times. Will they both finally get their happy ending or will they mess it up all over again? This is one series I definitely recommend and it should be added to everyone’s must read list.
Wow wow wow! What a beautiful book. Loved it from start to finish, the characters were perfect, Sierra is a tattooed tattoo artist, she has her own style and I loved that. Nick well he is swoon worthy, he's always wanted more than the casual relationship they had but Sierra keeps breaking up with him. When Sierra falls pregnant he steps up and promises her the world, she's unsure but in the end who could resist a man like Nick. Amazing book, give it a read and see for yourselves 5stars ⭐⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐
I know Stencil is apart of a series that is based around three sisters and a brother, but because the secondary characters were so frequently brought up in such a fast paced story, I got lost in them instead of the main characters.
Nick was the ultimate swoon worthy book boyfriend. I absolutely loved him and Sierra was the perfect heroine. She knows who she is and doesn’t make apologize for it. I loved that about her. I’m really loving this series and I can’t wait for more from these tattooed sisters.
Book 2 in the series sugar and spice. Nick and Sierra, a beautiful well written steamy romance book. She has issues trusting but Nick was in it all the way and he wanted his HEA. This is a well written book and I look forward to reading the rest of the siblings future books.
Sierra’s a hot, blonde bombshell, a tattoo artist, a woman doing a job that would "typically" be considered a man’s job, done in a man’s world. Her ex-boyfriend was gay and he used her as his "beard" which obviously had a huge affect on her confidence and as a result she only has sexual relations of the hook up variety which is what her sisters partners best friend Nick is to her, or is he? Nick’s a good-looking, sexy, charismatic businessman as well as owning three restaurants he’s part owner of a football team, he’s really into Sierra but he’s had enough of her dumping him one minute then coming back for more the next which unbeknown to him is down to her insecurities of being used by her ex-boyfriend, anyway it’s during one of those moments she’s called him round to talk that he decides to dump her for good only to be told that he’s going to be a Daddy.
Stencil is their story of finally coming together and committing to one another and for Sierra in particular it’s about learning to trust, trusting her heart and trusting Nick with it, as for Nick he just needs to learn to stop being a typical man and putting himself into certain situations that make him look bad when he’s really not.
This was a fantastically written second addition to what’s going to be another epic series from this extremely talented author, especially if the first two books are anything to go by.
This 4 star story was great with a lot of chemistry happening. They sure did connect on the physical part.
I have read Realism so this couple was introduced in that story. Sierra finds herself pregnant with on and off hookup Nick. Now they need to figure things out.
It was a great swoon low key kind of story. Not too much angsts, a great read for a cold day in. I would have enjoyed a lot more twists and turns to keep me hooked 100%. It was the kind of story that I already knew what was going to happen .
Since this is the second story in a series, I can see that the readers could miss some valuable information on this couple. It’s start with a bang and is fast paced from there. A lot was explained in the Realism book. It sorts of picks up from there.
Second story in the Sugar and Spice, Ink that could be read as a standalone. But for better enjoyment, Realism should be read first. Told in a dual POV with an HEA. I recommend this story.
