Such a great love story! Clay leave the Navy after the death of his parents to take over their restaurant. He is immediately attracted to Ira, who seems to know the business inside and out. She has her own issues at home, but love her job. She can't keep her mind off of Clay and when he kisses her for the first time the sparks fly! The story is good and you can't help but like all the characters, it's just a great book!
i read this book as part of an arc program. This is the story of Clay and Ira. Clay returned to his hometown after his parents died in a car accident and he decided to leave the Navy to run their restaurant. Clay didn't really know much about running the restaurant, so he asked Ira to help. Ira was a waitress and she help his parents run the restaurant. When Ira said she would help teach how to do the books and ordering stock, Clay was happy to get to spend time with her. Clay was attracted to Ira but he didn't want to scare her off. Ira was also dealing with caring for her father who was ill with cancer. Ira was attracted to Clay, but didn't think he would want her because of her fuller figure, but Clay thought she was beautiful. They had an instant connection and settles into a routine at the restaurant. Soon another employee noticed them and used their relationship to cause trouble and try to push Clay's buttons. I really liked this story and loved how Clay wanted to keep the restaurant opened and honor his parents. I liked how Ira wanted to help him and how she cared for her father. They bonded over losing his parents and her father's illness. I think they were great together and had an amazing connection. Good one.
Clay returns to his home town after his parents die leaving his navy career behind him. He is planning to take over the family diner and make it profitable again. On his first day at the diner he meets Ira a waitress working for his parents. Ira is intrigued by her new boss and wants to be helpful so he knows everything to do with the diner. One employee doesn't like Clay especially when he demands he be on time. Sparks fly between Clay and Ira as they struggle to be professional with one another. Ira takes care of her sick father and when an emergency occurs it bring her and Clay closer. Will Clay claim Ira for his own? Will everyone be alright with them being together?
This is an amazing story once I started it I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between them is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.
Mrs. Chloe Morgan has done it again. I'm sorry but I have to say it. Everything this woman publishes is amazing. Ira and Clay are amazing together. Too Hot To Handle has an incredible storyline and the characters... Just Wow. This is a very realistic romance to lose yourself in. Ira is caring for her Father, who is dying of cancer and Clay is an ex-military man who has returned home after the sudden loss of both of his parents. Together these two can heal and it is so beautiful to watch. I found this book to be very heartwarming and a quick read that packed a powerful punch (right in the heart).
I was beyond fortunate to have requested an advanced reader's copy of Too Hot To Handle in exchange for my honest opinion and I highly recommend reading this book as well as anything written by Mrs. Morgan.
Too Hot to Handle follows Clay Holmes and Ira Campbell. When Clay’s parents pass away, Clay leaves his position in the Navy to come take over the restaurant. Ira is a waitress at the restaurant who often helped out Clay’s parents, so when he realizes that he doesn’t know much about the restaurant business, he asks Ira for help. Ira offers to help with the orders and how to do the paperwork, all while taking care of her sick father at home, and although she is attracted to Clay, she assumes that he wont want her since she more of a full figured girl. As the pair began a working routine, and start growing closer, another employee notices and tries to use it to their advantage. Will Clay push her away to keep the restaurant? Or will their new relationship be strong enough?
ONE SWEET TEMPTATION!!! Oh man, talk about a spectacular ending. This read is as captivating as it is riveting from beginning to end. All the twists, turns and unpredictable events along with surprising circumstances that really pulls this bad boy together beautifully. You feel everything the characters feels, you hurt, love and cry right along with them. Chloe didn't hold back or pull any punches, she threw it right out there and it all came out brilliantly. The characters and scenes are written with such realism it really brings this amazing tale to life flawlessly. Remarkable job Chloe, thanks for sharing this little guy with us.
A sweet and hot love story set in a small town where to people come together unexpectedly. Clay has just taken over. Running his parents restaurant after their unexpected death. It's there he meets Ira, waitress, who moved back home to take care of her terminally ill father. Within days their passion ignites and they are a formidable couple which without a doubt will earn them an HEA. This is a pretty quick read and a good one for some downtime. I am volunteering to leave a review of this advanced review book.
Such a beautifully poignant story about a man forced to leave the Navy when his parents die - Clay and a beautifully bubbly woman who is caring for her father who is dying of Cancer - Ira. When Clay finds himself out of his element trying to run his parents restaurant he finds help in the form of Ira who has worked there for several years and apparently his parents trusted enough that she knows all the ends and outs - The budding romance hits some patches with town gossip and the death of Ira's father but will they make out the other side? An emotionally page-turning story.
The Chloe Morgan titles I’ve read so far remind me of the chocolate truffles with cayenne pepper in them. A sweet little morsel of goodness with a surprising kick if you’re not careful. Clay and Ira make a great team. I especially loved watching Clay help her battle her body issues. There’s lots of supporting cast in this book that I would love to learn more about. I could see this as the start of a series centered around the restaurant and the town. I received a complimentary advanced copy of this book from the author.
A sweet love story.. Clay was in the Navy and is now home due to both of his parents being killed a couple weeks back. They have had a restaurant in this tiny town for years and now it's his turn to keep their legacy alive. Ira who works at the restaurant and has for a few years has a father who is dying of cancer. When these two meet, they have an instant attraction but will they take things a step further?? Will Ira sleep with her boss? Only one way to find out, read the book. It's very enjoyable, well written and it's a very fast read. Enjoy.
Clay is struggling with his parents death. Ira is struggling to face a future without her father. One restaurant brings them together. Will they be able to help each other grieve? Will they make the restaurant thrive?
This was a hot short read. I loved the instant connection between these two and how there was able to bond and help each other through a difficult time. Both characters strengths complimented the others and they were able to make a great team! Can't wait to read more of this author!

I have been in a serious reading funk, so I decided to read a novella. I really enjoyed this story. There were some spelling and grammatical errors, but this was a cute, short story about two people who meet under some sad circumstances and fall in love. Wasn't insta, but pretty quick. I would recommend this one.
Coming from a small town myself I really felt for both Ira and Clay. They have wonderful chemistry and the romance is inviting. The writing is excellent and characters compelling. This is a voluntary review of an advance reader copy.
