Melanie Greene lives in a tiny woodland cottage in a big skyscraper city. She shares her life with her hunk of a husband and children so amazing they defy superlatives.
There’s a good novella in here, but it just needs a little more polishing. The beginning jumps right into the story and the background of both characters is pretty murky. But I was intrigued enough that I carried on. The middle jumps from seeming indifference to major feels - jumping around between thoughts and scenes was the biggest issue the story had; even within single paragraphs there were scene or thought changes. By the end once I knew what was going on it improved, but still had some telling not showing moments. I would definitely read more by this author. I think with the right editor, she could be very very good.
