Hope and happiness amidst the struggle of addiction is a hard subject to tackle for any writer, but its especially hard for a romantic to read. This book was particularly hard for me cause I have experience in the subject matter and have my own scars. I love Jaxson's work as a rule (hope you caught the pun), but Ruby's story doesn't feel complete with this book. Jaxson makes you believe that Kip's heart is true, Ruby isn't a surrogate for Kait. STILL it's hard to believe that Ruby's heart is really available. I could have believed it at one point when I thought maybe she was using out of boredom and hopelessness....but further into the book...its clear the addiction is controlling her. I hope, because I am the quintessential romantic, that there will be a triumphant Ruby Valentine in the works. Oh Jaxson! I doubt I will ever get enough of your world.

Kip damn you, you broke my heart! Of the three Kip is the one I looked most forward in reading. I KNEW he had a story, a past, but wow...talk about a heartbreaking read. And then failing/sort of for Tinsley, um yeah. To date, Kip may be my favorite.

No one knows, but after the Rulz and Tinsley rescued Ruby, Kip has been checking up on her...a lot.
Ruby has gone through so much since Tinsley moved to Bay Falls. She went down the wrong path and lost her way. Ruby is slowing coming out of it and Tinsley and the Rulz have been a big support to her. Kip is her secret and one that needs to stay that way, at least for the time being. Kip is rich, powerful and popular, especially with the ladies. The last thing he needs is a messed up girl in his life.
Because they have a mutual friend in Tinsley, Ruby believes she's just a charity case, another project for the Rulz. That's Ruby's story even though she's really stronger and smarter than she gives herself credit for. Kip? He's a total bad***, always ready for a fight or to flirt with a pretty girl. Definitely not relationship material. Although, at one time, there was this one girl, Kait. Kait was troubled but more so than Ruby. She never made it out alive, and in the process, Kip was left with a broken heart. After Kait, Kip vowed to never become involved, choosing the casual hookup instead of love. His plan was working, that is, until he met Ruby. With his past still haunting his future, Kip falls hard for Ruby, but saving her may be harder than he expected. Kip is not one to give up, even though Ruby brings back many dark memories for Kip and one ghost he can't seem to shake. Could history be repeating itself?
WOW! OKAY! I knew Kip's story was going to be amazing, but I really loved his character and his outlook on life. His relationship with Tinsley and the Rulz, how they rely and depend on each other shows that, although they may not be blood, their bond is stronger than that of real family. They chose their family.
ORIGINAL CHARACTERS AND STORYLINE THAT PUTS YOU RIGHT IN THE ACTION. THE STORY FLOWED EFFORTLESSLY. AS THE SCENES PLAY OUT IN YOUR MIND, YOU WILL FORGET THAT YOU ARE ACTUALLY READING. DARK AND RAW AS WELL AS HOPEFUL AND OPTIMISTIC ! KIP'S STORY DOES NOT DISAPPOINT ! ! !

Kip the badass surferboy!!
Whew!! As always Jaxson Kidman never ceases to amaze me. This is the second book in the Bay Falls High Series. Action filled read. There is always something happening at BFH. Rich boys and the chaos they cause. The girls that they live to love, protect and drive crazy. Kips story is very emotional it deals with addiction and the effects it has had in his life. The heartache of watching a loved one go down that path. The helplessness. It also deals with the tragedy of loss . The girl he couldn't save. The new girl he rescues. He wants to save her more than anything. He makes it his mission to not fail her. To watch out for her and protect her even from herself. Kip is part of The Rulz. They are the bad boys that rule at BFH. He gets his message across with his fists and asks questions after. He thrives on the fights they keep him balanced. If you can handle the emotional ride. Read this series. Also check out his Hidden Creek High Series they are intertwined. Jaxson Kidman is a terrific writer.

>I am an independent reviewer. This book is the 2nd in the Bay Falls High – the Rulz series and ends in an HEA. This book gets in the head of Kip from the Bay Falls High series. Kip is the most fun loving of the 3 members of the Rulz. The backstory behind Kip’s first love and loss is told in flashback and explains his attraction to Tinsley’s friend, Ruby. This story has a ton of humor in the form of Kip’s lame pick-up lines and Ruby’s protective grandma.
>The book mentions the fact that Tinsley almost slept with Kip. The guys joke about it. I did not feel like that was something that needed to be addressed again. Kip’s idea of the perfect date was so sweet, but unrealistic as most people are not millionaires. We can’t afford to buy everything someone may want to have a great date.
>This book is appropriate for an adult audience. I am giving this book 4 stars. Kip is funny and his story is heartbreaking, but his actions seem unrealistic.

How he tries to control his anger, confusion, the only way he knows is by fighting. Jaxson Kidman love story of Kip nd Ruby is intense. It delves into the subject of addiction and how it effects Ruby's life and the lives of her Gram and her friends. It's another great read of the continuing story of The Ruiz.

Ruby tries to fight the attraction, but they do declare their love for each other.....Ruby slips, finding it difficult to get over her addiction. What will happen to Ruby and Kip, when she goes to rehab? Will he wait for her? Is there a HEA like Pres and Tinsley? Read this great romance by Jaxson and get the tissues as it shows how love can win against all odds.

AMAZING!!!!
What an amazing ride Jaxson has taken us on with Ruby and Kip's story. This book has it all. Love, laughter, heartache, fights, and an amazing roller coaster ride of ups and downs. I thought I loved Kip before but this book made me love him so much more. There is so much more to these two characters that people don't see because they hide themselves from others. Even from each other to some degree. What an amazing love story. This book has a subject matter that was hard to read about. It hits so close to home for me. The way it was written is amazing. If I could give this book more than 5 stars I would. Bravo Jaxson. Phenomenal

Is it bad I'm kinda speechless? It's that good!!
I absolutely love Kip and his nonchalant way about him, from his "Hey Girl" to his fighting to watching him fall head over heels for his girl and get a pretty good glimpse into his past, his loss, why he was the way he was until her, I'm not gonna give up her name if you haven't read this series, start at the beginning it's all ohhh so worth it but Kip right now? Ohh I love that guy, he's everything you never thought he was and more!! First impressions are nothing imo he is something else and reading his journey and watching him fall head over heels make this again another awesome read by Jaxson!!

Kip, He May have a hard exterior being 1/3rd of the Rulz and loves a great brawl, but he’s a protector by nature, who has suffered some crazy heartbreak, and has a great big lovable heart.
It took one glance at Rory and that’s all it took. He has hooked. FOREVER
Rory, she’s Tinsley’s best friend, a bad childhood and a Grams who loves her so. Recovering from her demons and falling for the bad boy player, who only has eyes for her now.
This is a great book a true love story and a must read

What a ride this series is! Awesome story line that stays just as fresh as the first book, wonderfully complex likable characters, angst, intensity, entertaining banter, great vital secondary characters, a deeper intimate look inside the Rulz and how they work. I could not put this down after I started it.
Bravo, Jaxson! Each book is getting better and better, I don’t know how you do it, but I am so glad you do!! This is a 5 star book as I can’t give it more...

A better insight in what's going on in Kip's head. He feels so deeply for Ruby. Flash backs to when Kait first moved in with Kip and his parents. To what's going on with Ruby. He's trying to not make history repeat itself.
He trys so hard. It's heartbreaking.

Jaxson Kidman once again knocks it out of the park with Kip, the 5th book in the Bay Falls High series. Written from Kip’s POV, we get to see his tender, kind hearted side, as he fights to discover himself and save the girl that he’s fallen in love with. As the story follows Kip and Ruby’s journey, Jaxson spins the story in a way that transports the reader back in time to all the emotions of their own first love. Jaxson has definitely upped his game with this series!

Kip and Ruby have a unique relationship as neither one know how to be in a relationship. Kip is wealthy and Ruby struggles with thinking she is less than. But Kip doesn't seem to care. Young love at its finest. Great cast of characters. Be aware a situation may be a trigger. This is a great book and series.

Great series. I love BFH(Bay Falls High). This is a romance with all tge teenage angst you could want. And they are rich so the can do whatever they want, which makes this seem more like a college age series instead of High school. If you decide to read this series start at book 1 of Bay Falls High, then continue the journey

Kip has his own demons that he must learn to deal with, which he thought he did well covering them up with his happy surfer dude attitude. Then Ruby, Tinsleys best friend comes along. She has her own demons, thinks she can fix it by herself. New friendship and families are formed. You'll be exploring all your emotions in this heartbreaking story, but it does have a nice HEA.

Jaxson hits the heart as always!
Kip and Ruby hit me hard everything about this book pulled me in . With personal experience certain things this book hits me pretty hard.. I would not trade what i read for nothing. Jaxson Kidman writes the only way he knows how to write I won't except anything less from him.

I didn't like Ruby at all, always being mean to him, hitting him, dismissing him, making him feel bad for being rich. It was all just bullsh*t. Kip was that much of an asshole and he deserved so much better than her. And I know she has problems but that's no excuse, everyone has problems and they don't act like they know it all and are better than anyone because you're poor, give me a break

Kip & Ruby’s story was intense and intriguing from the very beginning to the end & it was also raw, and realistic & a true representation of some of the obstacles a young couple may face.

Fantastic read!!!
By far my favorite of the BFH books!!! I laughed out lout, cried, talked to the characters like they were real and LOVED every second of it!!!! Can't wait to read Barr's book next!!!

Wow!!!!!
I am blown away by Kip and Ruby's story!! Kip has such a good heart underneath his bad boy looks and behavior. Jaxson Kidman is such an amazing author and has written another book that will keep you reading until the very end. I love, love, loved this book.

Absolutely loved this book!
U can't help but to love Kip and Ruby together. Both been threw so much. It was amazing watching them fall in love and fight for each other!! Absolutely beautiful ! Must read for sure!!!👍
