The author traces back the history of American Revolution to the early 1600s when the white settlers first came to America and reflects on how matters evolves to the successful Revolution we now know. This is a clear and detailed book about the early history of the founding of America.

The writer Steve Wiegand published The American Revolution in the United States and Canada in 2020. The first section is a history of Early Modern Europe and North America from the 15th Century until the end of the French and Indian War in the mid-18th Century. The second section looks at the history of the Colonial United States from the end of the French and Indian War until the end of the American Revolution. The third section is the history of the United States from the end of the American Revolution until the election of President George Washington. The fourth section looks at the history of the United States from President George Washington's election until President Thomas Jefferson's election. This section also has a chapter on the complex legacy of the American Revolution. This section also includes a chapter on suggested reading. Section 5 contains fun facts about the well-known founding fathers. This section also includes a chapter on ten unknown heroes of the American Revolution. The book has ten quotes about the American Revolution. The book has appendixes, which include the Declaration of Independence of 1776, the Bill of Rights, and a timeline of “key events of the American Revolution” (Wiegand 341-343). I read the book on the Kindle. Wiegand’s book is a readable book that introduces the American Revolution to general readers.
