Imagine poking through the attics, closets, and basements of wealthy dead people.
Audrey Nealon, owner of Another Man's Treasure Estate Sales, gets paid to do just that. And amidst the antiques, jewelry, and collectibles, she invariably finds clues to unsolved mysteries of the past. And baffling murders in the present.
Join Audrey and her delightful crew--tough Ty, ditzy Jill, and loyal Ethel the rescue dog--as they solve three twisty mysteries:
Another Man's Treasure On a snowy Christmas Eve, a beautiful young mother goes out to buy a few last minute gifts...and never returns. Thirty years later, her daughter Audrey picks up her trail when she find's her mother's ring in a client's attic. Relentlessly, Audrey pursues clues to her family’s troubled history. Because the truth will set her free…unless it gets her killed.
Treasure of Darkness What lies buried in a hoarder's house--precious treasure or ghastly secrets? Audrey digs through a hoarder's obsessions, and unleashes a vengeful response from all sides--the hoarder's angry neighbors, his alienated family, and the police. The house has destroyed lives in the past. Will Audrey and those she loves--her friends, her father, and even her dog--be its next victims?
This Bitter Treasure Deception and heartbreak stalk Audrey when she accepts a lucrative job clearing a dying invalid's home. As Audrey uncovers more about the family's tortured past, she begins to doubt her own perceptions of the elusive people who surround her in the house. And when a murderer strikes, Audrey's sense of justice compels her to defend the defenseless, no matter the risk to herself.

S.W. Hubbard writes the kinds of books she loves to read: twisty, believable, full of complex characters, and highlighted with sly humor. She is the author of the Palmyrton Estate Sale Mystery Series and the Frank Bennett Adirondack Mountain Mystery Series, as well as the Life in Palmyrton Women's Friendship Fiction Series. Her short stories have appeared in Alfred Hitchcock’s Mystery Magazine and the anthologiesDead Drift, Crimes by Moonlight, The Mystery Box, andAdirondack Mysteries. When not writing, she hikes with her rescue dog, Libby, and her husband. She lives in Morristown, NJ.
A wonderful trilogy of adventures by S.W. Hubbard, starring Audrey Healing, her family and friends and, of course, her fascinating business as an estate-sales manager and CEO of Another Man's Treasure. Books 1-3 are:
Another Man's Treasure: Audrey Nealon runs Palmyrton Estate Sales, preparing homes for sale after relatives and friends have claimed any mementos and inheritances, with the help of her reliable aides Jill and Tyshaun. She's called in to clear the home of an old lady, Agnes Szabo, by her nephew Cal Tremaine, a lawyer and campaign manager for would-be governor, Spencer Finneran. What does Audrey first find at Mrs Szabo's house? What does she do with it? Where does Jill find the trunk and what happens next? What's hidden inside? Where does Audrey put it for safekeeping - and what does she recognise and keep for herself? Why is Audrey reluctant to tell the police about the finds? What really happened to her Mom?
Treasure of Darkness: A mishap by overworked Audrey Nealon and part-time employee Ty, leads to AMT being trolled on social media by an unhappy client, followed by Audrey's desperate attempts to put things right. This leads to her witnessing a murder - and then being targeted by the killer. A number of misunderstandings and fraught face-offs make life stressful and disorienting for Audrey, straining her relationships with the men in her life. How does resolving Ty's issues and reconciling her business and personal hang-ups bring love back to Audrey, her family and friends.
This Bitter Treasure: Audrey Nealon's house-clearance company, Another Man's Treasure, is hired by the prestigious Eskew family's elder daughter Kara and her remaining siblings, Tom and Rachel, who want to sell off the estate even before the soon-anticipated death of their mother. Although this sale is somewhat unsavory to Audrey, (and her employees, Ty and Adrienne - the latter her soon to be sister-in-law) it will bring in a great deal of commission revenue, which will help Audrey and fiance Sean's marital home-buying plans along considerably. However events soon unfold that will make Audrey's misgivings all too pertinent as this excellent murder-mystery by S. W. Hubbard will reveal most entertainingly!
Working under pressure amid often misleading information, while experiencing several unpleasant events, makes Audrey's wedding plans and Sean's enthusiasm for starting a family, seem totally unrealistic to Audrey...but stranger things later happen that may well change her mind in the near future!
I read all three books in a row and did not have a single regret. I don't read a lot of books in the "cozy mystery" category but I am so glad I did this time. Characters are well developed, the story mingled with art, collectibles and murder was intriguing and complicated. The books kept me guessing. The plots were complex and well researched. Plus there was a cool dog as bonus!
I read and wrote a review on the first book already. I loved it, but the pace seemed a little slow. This is not unusual in the first book in a series, as the author develops characters and builds their world. I was thrilled to see that the pace of book 2 and 3 were much faster. Plus the mysteries were fascinating. In the last book in the box set there was some heartbreaking circumstances as the history of a truly dysfunctional family is unveiled. But it is not all dark. There is a budding romance, plus the heroine's assistant is turning his life around, slowly and consistently. It gives me hope for his future. Great series.
As a fan of both estate sales and mysteries, I enjoyed the first three books in the Palmyrton Estate Mysteries Series. Who knew that the estate sale business could be so dangerous?!
Each book centers around a different crime or mystery uncovered as Audrey and her team go about the work of helping individuals settle their estates. There are lots of twists and turns and just the right amount of humor and romance to balance out the dire circumstances of the crimes they discover.
I’m looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
I really enjoyed this book. It is really 3 books in one, and each one tells a different story. You are left guessing as to how the problems that Audrey comes across will be solved. You will love the characters especially as you move to the second novel. I was pleasantly surprised and I think any other reader will be,too.if
This author is very talented at developing a variety of interesting characters in her books that you care about. I really enjoyed relaxing and reading the first 3 books in this series and am planning on reading the next book as soon as I finish this review! Keep them coming!!!
I thoroughly enjoyed these books and cannot wait to read the next two. I really hated to finish one but knew there would be another one to read. So happy I have the next ones waiting for me.
I love Audrey, Ty, and the cast of quirky and engaging characters who fill Box Full of Treasure with grit, laughter, and close calls. The descriptions of estate sale antique and vintage pieces added to my enjoyment of the mysteries.
Looking forward to reading more books by S.W Hubbard. There are so many OMG moments you will never guess what is coming next. I would recommend these books to anyone who likes a good story!
Already have the second box set and am looking forward to starting it.
I like Audrey. And Sean is a sweetheart. But Jill and Ty seem very special to this author. I hope to read more about them and their families and become part of their tribe.
This was my first introduction to her books I listened to it on Audio. I loved it. It was recommended by my Book Club and I’m looking forward to our discussion next week.
This was like reading Nancy Drew for adults! It instilled the same urgency I remember from my childhood, but with a complexity that added a challenge. What fun!
A Box full of Treasure was a good mystery with secrets uncovered and truths revealed. Audrey and her trusty crew each have a job to do and they do it well. I enjoyed this very much. No dull parts, in fact it was fast-paced.
These are not just mysteries. Seeming to watch such different characters interacting feels so true to life. It's so encouraging when they work things out but heartbreaking to learn of the disasters when they dont. Humorous moments are sprinkled sparingly at needed moments.
Box Full of Treasure, Palmyrton Estate Sale Mysteries
I read all three of these first three mysteries and enjoyed each one. It was nice that the main characters were the same and had their own stories in addition to the mystery of the house.
Audrey is an eminently believable character. The first three books in the series have been totally enjoyable. There is plenty of humor to go with the mystery.
