We continue the series with Ari, who is trying to move forward from the main drama from book 1. Leise and Brennan are on a trip enjoying their HEA. New characters appear, Jac and Leif who are helpful in a evil that is threatening the community. I loved this book more, because we get to see Ari's former coven and see Ari showing the full might of her power against her mother. The cop Westin is continuous thorn for Ari, but he is actually a good man. I look forward to seeing Ari and her journey. This book answered questions from book 1 that I did not realize I needed. I wait patiently for book 3, since this ended on a big cliffhanger.
