I enjoyed this book, especially the examples it gave from real TED Talks. The author also made it clear that the book was not a one-size-fits all speech outline which I think is very important for students so they realize there are multiple ways to accomplish specific goals within a speech.

The layout was well organized and very conversational which I think is beneficial for a young reader looking to enhance their public speaking skills. This style made it easier to apply TED Talk lessons to classroom applications. It actually had a lot of similar information that I received a few weeks earlier in my college Speaking in Business and Professions class in our discussion over TED Talks.

As a person who struggles with public speaking, I enjoyed this book as it was able to share tips - on public speaking on personal stories, researched topics, and experiences - in a condensed book. I like how the authors said that this book wasn't a step-by-step tutorial on how to public speak, because every person finds their own style. I also liked how the book contained humor, keeping me engaged. I enjoyed seeing real-life examples of inspirational teens such as Malala Yousafzai and Richard Turere, whose voices made an impact. Whenever I have a speech to make, I'm sure that I'll refer to this book.

This was a nice and easy read that gives tips to the reader on how to improve their public speaking ability. It gave a useful insight on how to refine your own ability to give a speech to others without seeming boring, so you wouldn't drag your speeches on. The advice given in the book comes from examples from other TED talks and is useful to anyone who has trouble with public speaking. This is worth reading and I would recommend it to others.

Helped me so much with my public speaking. It’s definitely not a one-size-fits-all book, but it lays groundwork that speakers can easily use to write and present.

In the story of "Thank You for coming to My TED Talk: A teen Guide to Great Public Speaking" by Chris Anderson, you will learn the ropes of how to improve your social skills and ability to talk to an open audience. This guide offers a plethora of tips and tricks you can use to help build a foundation of not only speech, but self confidence. It shares how only a couple of words spoken to a crowd has the potential to positively influence them in their personal lives. The story provides techniques, personal anecdotes, effective body language, covers various aspects of public speaking, how to overcome stage fright, and using visual aids. It emphasizes the importance of practice, confidence building exercises, and embracing one's authentic voice. For example, four people who emphasized techniques of being a capable speaker to persuade and inform others, are Writer Andrew Solomon, actor Julia Roberts, Singer and author Amanda Palmer and Explorer Ben Saunders. The setting takes place on the TED talk stage where they all spoke about their experiences throughout the obstacles they overcame and adversities they had to face to get to where they are today hoping to inspire their target audience. They sorted the strategies by offering how to structure a talk or conversation by modeling and connecting to the audience and they aimed to empower teens to share their stories and ideas on stage. Two conflicts people may face are trouble with time management and the preparation process causing them having to procrastinate over the simple things. Others could have anxiety or fear of being judged even when they're highly unlikely too. The talk concludes with the significance of expressing gratitude and leaving a lasting impact on the audience. Ultimately, I give this book 4 out of 5 stars and think this book is beneficial and worthy to read for those having trouble in lack of public speaking skills and following these guidelines can develop teenage speakers to become more successful communicators.
