Instant Gratification
The author's concept of short novellas for people who feel like they don't have time to invest in full length reads is probably a good one for today's society. I'll admit, I'm one of those readers who's willing to sink my teeth into the long reads and really get to know the characters. But I realize that's just not realistic for a lot of people these days. Say hello to instant gratification in literary form, ladies, because Axel can melt your kindles in record time.
This may be a short read, but it's still long on passion, and manages to pack quite a punch with a decent storyline for main characters Axel and Tori. Their story is a totally wild ride with plenty of action, heart, heat, and an HEA that makes you glad you took a little book break from your busy day. Although it's a short read, the author still manages to build the characters in such a way that you'll find yourself invested in Axel and Tori's story. Axel, in fact, is one of those amazing alpha book boyfriends that just keep us reading. Yum.

Axel is the second story in Cora York’s Broadaxe Security and while I thoroughly enjoyed the first in this series, I was totally in love with Axel. Seriously, who doesn’t love a big-hearted, Alpha male who puts his woman before everything else, including himself. That is Axel.
Forced back to his hometown for a security job, Axel encounters demons from his past, and a beautiful, but innocent young woman he remembers as being a child. Passion ignites, and danger looms, as Axel and Tori navigate their new reality and the evil that would tear them apart.
This story is a quick and easy read but lacks nothing in depth due to its fewer pages. The story flows nicely and the characters are enchanting and likeable. There is also a teaser for those who take notice, that will hint at the plot for the next story in the series. I can’t wait to see what Ms York has in store for Ford.

This is only a short read took me less than an hour but it still delivers quite a punch
Tori had a crush on her brothers best friend as she was growing op but he drifted away from her family and sh no longer has anything to do with Axel. Now she has bigger problems to save herself and pay back the loan shark she borrowed from she is having to work as a stripper. When Axel job with Broadaxe security takes him back to the small town he grew up in he isn't impressed that is until he comes across Tori who was his best friends little sister growing up but now she is all grown up and he wants her. He will do whatever he needs to in an effort to keep her safe but when it is time to leave will he be leaving her as well.

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "AXEL" This was my first read by Cora York it was a short hot sexy read with suspense, intrigue, danger, gratis story from beginning to end.
Axel returns to his home town dealing with demons from his past now working for Broadaxe Security he sees hus old friends sister working in a strip club she's smart, sexy not the place she should be working.
Tori took money from a loan shark know she's paying for it big mistake on her part she gets Axel to help her out of a sticky situation she had a crush on him did he still think of her as her brother's kid sister.
This was a terrific short story passion ignites between Axel and Tori while evil darks their door will it tear them apart this is a must you read I definitely recommend it won't disappoint.

This is book 2 in the Broadaxe Security series and it features Axel and Tori. Tori owes a loan shark money and decides the best and quickest way to pay it back is to strip. While entering the strip club she runs into her deceased brother’s best friend, who refuses to let her strip. Axel is her knight in shining armor but can you ever trust a loan shark? Their chemistry is SMOKIN’HOT! This is an insta-love story where everything happens quick but the story line is great! The romance is sexy and the action is fantastic! I can’t wait to read more about Broadaxe Security.

Tori has struggled all her life, but she would do it all over again if it brought her to where she is now. Axel has never forgotten his best friend’s little sister but she’s not so little anymore. These two are brought together and refuse to let the other one go. Their story is suspenseful and dangerous, but their chemistry is off the charts. This story will leave you wanting more of the Broadaxe Security series.

This was my first time reading a book by this author. It was a surprisingly enjoyable short and steamy read! The pacing is fast, but characters and storyline were still developed enough. Perfect when you only have time for a quick read!

My first book by this author and it was a fabulous book. I loved the characters and the story. Axel a hot ex military, total alpha male but hot AF and Tori someone who's having some troubles but happens to meets a blast from the past. This book has drama, romance, lust, passion and HEA. The last person Axel thought he would bump into is Tori. Regretting the fact that he lost touch with his best friend all those years ago, he makes the decision to save Tori from the monster who is trying to make her pay.

Excellent contemporary down on her luck gal who finds an old friend who'll help her novella. The blurb gives an very good preview of the book. It is interesting from the beginning until the end. The characters are well written and I really loved Axel. I received a complementary copy of this book and chose to write a review. I look forward to reading future books by Ms. York in the future.
