( Format : Audiobook ) "The monster lies in the man." This short (one and one half hour durTion) story has so many elements that it could have been very exciting: an old legend, mysterious deaths, a town isolated by a storm, pushy journalists, rival siblings, a local 'bad boy' the main suspect, hints of sexual predators and a snappy ending. What it lacked was a coherent story line. The author really needed to emp!oy an editor to help and give consistency. So perhaps less could have been a lot more.
Narration by Robert Wrenlock, however, was articulate, well paced and modulated, and performed with verve. Although ultimately disappointing, Bloodless was an amusing way to fill a gap. I was fortunate to receive this book as a freely gifted complimentary copy.
