Patriotic to the last period

Freedom...patriotism...heroism...National pride...if you love what America is supposed to be, and what the founding fathers meant it to be - then this book series is for you. I loved it. Sean Harris, the supposedly last marine, is one conflicted character. But you can't help but root for the man. Unfortunately, this author might be hitting closer to the mark on what the future of our country holds than I would prefer, but that is one of the realistic draws to the story. God bless you, T.S. Ransdell, for at least telling a great story about some people and their understanding about dying for a cause greater than themselves.

High octane action in book 2! A real entertaining sequel with an unexpected ending. Sometimes though I find myself wanting to punch some of the characters because of how vivid the author writes their thoughts and actions. It stirs emotion and makes one worried for the future of our nation.

Good Read

The book was an interesting read and, to me, thought provoking. With the political climate we have in our country and the way the left is continuously undermining our Republic, the novel is fictional but not out of the realm of possibility. I have no doubt that we have many left wing politicians who would willingly take us down a road like that just for the power and control, heck they are already continuously trying to strip us of our constitutional rights.

I say it is worth the read and I'm curious as to what others think. The only thing I really disliked was the abundance of profanity, but I guess if you read a book about warrior's, that's how they talk. I'll definitely buy the next book.

Flawless add-on to book 1

Again, I get to read more of T.S. Ransdell’s excellent writing style. And while reading this book, almost to the end, there was a reference to the third book. This is top-shelf material, in its genre. I highly recommend this series.

The story continues

Well written with the ring of truth. What happens to America when facts or truth no longer matter? When honor and critical thinking have no value? Eagerly awaiting book 3.

Wow

Scary in the telling. I hope there are enough safeguards in place to make sure this story never comes true. As a Marine I can appreciate everything that is written here. Just wow.

More truth than fiction

When 1984 is turning out to be a Nostradamus level prediction. You begin to see more truth than fiction from writers that don't censor themselves or their characters.

It's alright

The first book was good. This one hardly kept my interest. I left this book three times and came back to it. Finishing after several hiatus times. What I like, good main characters , writing and decent story. The bad. There are too many side characters and I really didn't care if the main character lived or died. Sorry not for me

Another great read!

Thanks Ransdell for writing this story. I’m looking forward to more. I know many a man who were US Marines. I can only say I wish I had served in the Marine Corps so I could say Semper Fi.

Under my wife’s account, I am a MARINE , and believe with all account
This is where this country is headed if we as people don’t get our government under control. We think fake news is a term, but it is real

The first chapter is excellent, but then the remaining chapters dribble off into demagogic drivel. Did not finish this as I didn't want to waste my time with paper bogy-folks, paranoid delusions of an ultra-left, ultra-woke takeover of the USA. There are a number of books out there that do this better, don't bother with this one.

Should be a movie

This is a possible future that is nightmarish. On the other hand there are those that want exactly this. Treat this as a cautionary tale. Think it over.

Great book

Paints a vivid picture of where we could be headed, when you can't trust the legitimacy of the government or the news media.

Loved the first book but this one wasn't holding my attention. Maybe I'll try again at a different time.

Semper Fi Brother

A story well thought out. A story well told. No offense but I hope and pray you are as wrong as any man has ever been, all the while fearing you are not. We see more and more with every passing day just how grasping, power hungry and evil the progressive movement is. Keep fighting the good fight brother.

Change occurs.

But not always the way we might want. Some of the characters in this book seem to be straight out of today's headlines, as they bend the truth and belittle others. Let's work for a future where this remains fiction. As Marines (yes we always are) we will always obey orders that are based on accurate applications of Constitutional tenets.

The Last Marine: Book 2

This series is very well written by someone who has obviously served our country. It is my opinion that the most extreme opinions from both - BOTH - sides of the aisle are portrayed here. It is my sincere hope that there are enough of us in the middle to balance the sides out.

Even better than the first book. A dark and moving novel depicting a future America - given our current trajectory. Many memorable characters and lots of moving parts make for a fast-paced story that will have you holding out hope for the remaining U.S. Marines. Already anticipating book 3!

Is this the future?

Sad to read this book and then watch it happening in the news. Read this warily because it could happen. If the future is going to be like this, when will we wake up and stop the ball from rolling down the hill.

so good but very scary

Pretty clearly shows you what can be done and how quickly if we don’t stand up for ourselves . Great book just like the first and fast paced. Kept my attention and had many different emotions throughout. Must read in my opinion
