Simeon's story started in my debut novel, Truth Is... but it's far from over.Simeon doesn’t want her life’s story to end with her being known as a murderer. She wants to start a new chapter—but the road to redemption won’t be easy. Death threats, physical attempts on her life, and the sudden emergence of a stranger who looks like the man she killed all serve as a haunting reminder that no one has forgotten and someone won’t be satisfied until she’s gone. Who wants Simeon dead? Her personal assistant, who seems to always be around when there’s trouble or someone from her victim’s family? The attacks could be coming from anyone. Fearing for her sanity and her life, she has no choice but to dig up her victim’s past to discover who wants her dead.

Michelle Mitchell has always been creative; the builder of play forts, and the writer of numerous songs that she hoped to hear on the radio. She always enjoyed singing, dancing, reading and writing. One of her dreams was to be a backup dancer for Janet Jackson, but when that didn’t happen, she continued to focus on songwriting. She knew she could shine brightest if she could work in a field where she could create, but she had an awkward start in finding her voice.

A Georgia native, Michelle attended Georgia Southern University where she majored in Communication Arts and minored in Journalism. After graduating, she had a short stint as a feature writing before returning to school and entering corporate America. Needing a creative outlet in between courses, Michelle got inspired and began working on her first novel, Truth Is....

In December 2015, Brown Girls Books put out a call for submissions for an anthology called, The Ex Chronicles. Michelle's submission was selected out of the 300 submissions received. The anthology was published March 8, and would be her first published work. Truth Is... will be her second published manuscript.

When she’s not writing, she enjoys trying new restaurants, traveling, and reading. Michelle is a die-hard fanatic of the Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta Hawks. She still resides in Georgia, where she is a member of Pilgrim Baptist Church in Marietta. You can write her at authormichellemitchell@gmail.com.

Nicely written with suspenseful storyline. Simeon definitely went thru emotional changes after Montgomery was killed. It was difficult for her to know who to trust at times. Unexpected instances kept the story suspenseful and pages turning. I was surprised to find out the characters connections. Good read

I loved Simeon's story. I absolutely enjoyed the suspense, romance, and unexpected twists and turns in Infamous. Just when I thought I knew what was going on I found out I didn't. Infamous shows us there's a way back from negative circumstances though it may be difficult. I don't know if there's a sequel planned but I would not have a problem with it. Bravo, Michelle! Great job!

Simeon's love lost and found

I enjoyed this story of Simeon's life. This story tells of her worries about the trial and what she does to live out her life. How does one live with what she has done.

Great Story...4.8 stars

Infamous was a great romantic suspense novel. I'm so proud to see this author's works growing and making amazing art. I have read and reviewed each new edition, so it's easy to see her progression. Simeon's story tugged at my heart because of her struggles medically. The author did a great job crafting a story about mental health issues in a real deal manner. The degree of deception she endured was unimaginable for a person with a so-called normal life. The backstory with Kade kept readers on their feet. Then the guy she killed cousin was a puzzle. I did not trust him at first, but Beau knew better. It was nice to see the witches broom snatched in this story, and that Kade and Bethany fared better!. Her brother Richard and his girl Meris , now that would be nice to see them later. I hope Simone and her dad continue to heal. A nice story. I recommend you read... Enjoy!

“Infamous- well known for some bad quality or deed.” Simeon indeed was infamous because of a crime for which she has been exonerated. She was ready to move forward with her life...but not everyone shared her dream, not everyone wanted her happy...someone wanted her to pay. With a lot of suspense, betrayal, deception and surprising plot twists, author Michelle Mitchell tells a compelling story of persons dealing with past hurts, mental illness and lies and how when they are not dealt with shapes the future and impacts so many lives. Well done, Ms. Mitchell...keep up the good work!
