I saw this book on a random shelf in a Target. It wasn’t where it was “supposed” to be because it was meant to find me. I was actually sad when finishing it. I’ve collected so much wisdom from it that has helped me through the pandemic and my life. I have so many flagged pages that I journaled about.
More importantly I feel I was given a very approachable entry into Hinduism that really spoke to me on a spiritual level. Strange - right? A book about “yoga” but it really wasn’t. It was just my ignorance about the spiritual basis of this “low impact exercise” that I enjoyed.
I look forward to reading it again and even delving deeper into this topic. Highly recommend to anyone.

Living Yoga is a small gem of a book. Just as yoga is about more than just poses, this book is about how to embrace many of the spiritualistic components of yoga into a regular practice.
For anyone interested in expanding their spiritual presence, Rachel Scott’s book can help illuminate a path in language that is precise and easy to understand. The author provides I sight into yoga history and philosophy, and then provides mental exercises and reflections to help us think. If this books helps the reader to ponder their existence, it has achieved its objective.
When reading this book it is tempting to through it cover to cover. Do it - and then go back and carry it with you reading a chapter on a regular basis (daily, weekly, etc.), contemplate over the reflections, and then awaken to a better understanding of yourself.
Have fun.
