I got this mini book as a stocking stuffer. I thought I'd review it since you can't browse at the book store as it comes in a little box.
This is a book of "quotes and quips" pulled from the pages of various Spider-man comics. It's heavy on the quotes, many from Uncle Ben surprisingly. I guess they have been many flashbacks to his wise words over the years. Unfortunately reading a succession of passages about responsibility can feel preachy/monotonous. More quips would have been a relief and more in keeping with what Spider-man is really like for readers.
Each quote has a page facing it with comic art featuring Spider-man and other heroes, villains, and cast members, with an occasional two-page spread. Each image is somewhat related to the quote and seem to be pulled from recent issues of the magazines, since I didn't really recognize too many of the artists.
The product is very nicely produced, although the two-page spreads result in a lot of image being lost in the crease.
It's a nice gift for the Spider-fan in your life, but not much of a read. For the book lover, there are comics compendiums that might be more in line for the readers on your gift-buying list
