Melanie "Mel" Jordan had the perfect life with her fiancé, Troy. After being engaged for two years, Troy finally agreed on a date. Melanie had always pictured her life being picture-perfect. The big house, two kids and a dog. She had her dream job as a real estate agent, even landed herself on the front page of the newspaper.
She was truly a force to be reckoned with and having her favorite guy to call her his wife was only the icing on the cake. Too bad wedding day never arrived. Finding out that Troy had too many skeletons in his closet a few days before the wedding, she called it off. Melanie thought she could move on from her past, but she soon found herself caught up in a deceitful web of lies that Troy left behind.
Lorenzo "Looney" Daniels was the guy that women would throw themselves at, just to say they've been with him or in his presence. Having drama at his doorsteps with his baby mamas on the regular, he got tired of it all. After getting hit with some shocking news, Lorenzo was ready to cut everybody off. In his eyes, no one could be trusted. That was until he met the beautiful Melanie at an unexpected time in his life. Neither one of them were ready for the way their lives were about to change.

OFF TOP LOVED THE FACT IT WAS A STANDALONE .. I'M BEYOND CONFUSED HOW MEL STANDARDS WAS SO HIGH BUT YET SHE WAS WITH TROY AIN'T NO WAY ... EVERYBODY MOMMA IN THIS BOOK WAS A MESS EACH CHILD LOVED THEM THO... I ACTUALLY LIKED WILL AND HIS LADY TOGETHER.. POOR LJ HIS MOM WAS ONE OF THE WORST AND SO LOW DOWN.. IF IT WASN'T FOR MRS MILDRED LORENZO AND BONE HAPPINESS WOULDN'T CAME TO PASS BOTH WERE KOOL DUDES ..

I am really shocked that Troy was able to run game for so long, because Mel was crazy as hell 😂🤣. When Mel and Lisha showed out at the funeral I knew this book was going to be a page turner. Out of everyones mamas I am not sure who was the craziest. I would definitely recommend this book.

Good
Melanie and Looney were a good match. She was hood and business savvy at the same time. I'm glad that Mel wasn't a pushover when it came to Lorenzo. I thought Bones was gonna be in some betrayal type of behavior, hood that wasn't the case. Nice funny scenes sprinkled in between the ratchetness. I wasn't feeling the detour with Mel and Mr Davenport. Couldn't get over no one having a regular parental relationship, everybody's momma was a "hoe" or close to it.

wow!!!
Wow!!!! So much happened so fast! My goodness! The mamas , all of them were a trip🤭😳 but Lorenzo mom was a bit much tho! And her marriage to Will ( younger) and having a baby at 48 well😏 but there a two yr period that she didn’t raise her 😳WTH!?
Troy his crazy brother and their daddy… welp, things did not go well for them and their trifling behinds. Too many editing issues🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️ loved Lisha n Bones😍

Ok Read
This story was actually hilarious and would have been great but there were a lot of grammatical errors and a lack of character development. I don't know how Melanie didn't see the signs that Troy wasn't the person for her. He had an agenda from the beginning. When Melanie realized how deep Troy trouble was and found out he betrayed her. That was it for their relationship. Lorenzo run in with Melanie wasn't what either of them expected. After what happened with Troy. Lorenzo and Melanie found themselves fighting for their lives and figured out neither of them knew who Troy really was and who he was connected to.

Another hysterical banger!
Although there were a few grammatical errors in the book, it did not take away from the flow of the storyline. Ash always come through with comical characters and this book was no exception. All of the moms were hysterical,neither Lorenzo’s mom being the leader of the pack. Bridgette and Lorenzo’s cousin were foul for keeping LJ’s parentage secret for so long and I felt no sympathy for what happened to her. I couldn’t stand Troy, his brother or his father and they got their just rewards. I absolutely loved Bridgette and Lorenzo’s relationship and she proved to be a ride or die chick. Lisha and Bones were just right for each other. Great read!

Awesome Book!
This book was a trip. I loved the characters. They all had me laughing. Looney’s “Baby Mama” made me want to slap her dumb self. She did entirely too much and was so childish. I couldn’t believe how she acted because of her actions. It was crazy how characters were tied together and revealed themselves when something happened. Big Bones and Lisha were meant for each other. Those two were so cute. Melanie was something else. I couldn’t even get past the first couple chapters without falling out laughing. She was a pure clown. So was Looney! This was overall a great read despite some editing issues!

Satisfied Reader
This book had me laughing the whole time while reading. Melanie was just as tough as a man and she held her own. She even helped her man get down. Troy was bad for her health and D'Angelo thought he was a smooth criminal. They both got treated well by the hands of Lorenzo cuz he didn't play about his women. Lorenzo mom's mouth was too reckless some things are better left unsaid. This was a great read and this author NEVER disappoints

It was ok
I'm not sure if this is my first book by this author or not but it was an ok read. I think it started off good but then you have three different but same villains that were eliminated extremely easy. Felt like they barely even mattered to the story. Towards the end of the book, the grammatical errors got worse. It wasn't a bad read, so I'd definitely try another book from the author.

The right love can change everything
This story is funny and interesting. I enjoyed the dynamics on how Mel and Looney meet and how it developed into the love they desired and needed. I wished the writer would have developed Mel’s and her mother’s relationship along with her brother there was so much unspoken there and I felt some type of way on that but I truly enjoyed the overall story.

Loved It
I really enjoyed this book. I feel like Lorenzo momma did too much sometimes especially not getting her baby for 2 years and disappearing with her son friend to get married. I completely agree that was ugh cause my momma hell nah. Melanie and Troy just confused tf outta me cause how?! She was wayyyyy too much for him. Wish the tension between Lorenzo and his cousin would’ve been touched on, but glad for happy endings.

First of all where do you come up with these stories. How did someone like Melanie end up with someone like Troy. He was a Leach. When those guys came and took the money I cant believe she got it back that's gangsta. Lisha was her sidekick and did just as much craziness as she did. Lisha and Bones was cute together. Too many typos
And that made me not so please with it. The lead character shows up at a funeral of someone she doesn't know and says some disrespectful stuff. At the funeral though? She couldn't wait til it was over? And this is after she finds out the fiance was using more than just her money. I also felt there were too many holes in the story.

A MUST READ!!!!
AJ never ceases to amaze me. I absolutely loved this book. It was great from the beginning to end. Ms. Daniels was something else. I love Mel and Lorenzo together. I could really go for a Bones and Lisha spin-off. This is most definitely a must read. I highly recommend it....Great job AJ...

What an amazing standalone
