This story should come with a HUGE warning label: a shitton of tissues required! While I didn't actually cry, I had to overcome strange lumps that appeared in my throat at certain points in this book. It was difficult to swallow at times. I even suffered from some sort of allergic reaction that had my eyes watering and a pain in my chest. Yeah... allergies.

Incomplete was a bitter yet romantic story that dared to answer the age old question of whether or not the grass is truly greener on the other side. When the love of your life becomes a virtual stranger in your home... when the little things that made your heart jump and made you positively giddy get shoved to the wayside... when someone else is offering you the love of a lifetime although you're both committed to someone else... what do you do? Well, if you're like Tillian and Gage, you embark on a journey of self-discovery and infinite love. You willingly take the risk, despite the potential devastation and trauma your choices could cause. You become selfish and self-absorbed and pitiable. I'm still not sure how I could love and hate these characters so much!

Again, Fiore and Dwayne joined together to take my mind, body and soul on an adventure of epic proportions. They took me out of my comfort zone with this stark look at the realities of these two marriages and the hopes, dreams, and pain of these two people. I encourage every lover of romance to take a chance on this book and when you get to the end, let me know... Was the grass truly greener?

Yeah, this one was creepy and not in a good way. I'm not kidding about the last line of my review, creepy doesn't begin to scratch the surface.

"They both had just needed the reminder" They ripped two peoples (they supposedly loved) hearts through their mouths to be "reminded".

This was truly distasteful. For me, emotional cheating is far, far, far more insidious and painful than physical cheating. One is just the body given in base lust, the other is like being broken open and your heart and guts being removed without anesthesia. The reason each tore open their respective spouses bodies and spit on them? They were feeling ignored ( said in pouting child's voice ). This is a simplified explanation of the book, but I don't want to give any more time to it. And the end? When she pulls that gift out from her lover? It felt like a serial killer trophy moment. Ugh.

The writing was ok, but lacked any depth in characterization. Had there been any shading, some gray at least, it wouldn't have gotten past the first few chapters. The selfishness would have been way too obvious. KU

The title says it all...I felt it left me incomplete and unsatisfied. I loved it then hated it then was meh with the epilogue. The first half was great. I really liked both Gage and Tilly and the ending was not what I expected and sadly really dropped my enjoyment for this story down to nothing. I really didn’t like the spouses as they were portrayed and both MCs did deserve more and I am not in favor of affairs but I understand how they were both forgotten and felt incomplete. Just peeves me the way it played out. I liked the story and the writing was good - Waffling between 1 and 3 stars and will settle on 2.5 stars. Ended as a dud!

Good grief, what an amazing story. This is one of those books that will make you think long and hard about your life. Throughout the whole book I was an emotional mess, the heartbreak and love in this book will pull at your heartstrings. I was sucked in from the beginning and just couldn't put it down. These two authors have a way of writing and pulling you into the story and not letting you go until the end. This is a must read.

No one plans to cheat. It happens slowly. An awakening. People think cheaters cheat for sex, for the thrill of it, but it’s more than that.
Sometimes the grass truly is greener, the flowers sweeter, the sun brighter.

It was an okayish read.

Tbh, the writing was great, the story was intriguing, the intensity and emotions on high and I was loving it ......until 60%. After that point, this story became a mess.

At 60%, there's this scene with Gage and His wife...which was the perfect opportunity for him to come out clean about his affair and break up with her but he didn't. After that, the love between Tilly and Gage didn't feel like legit.. it felt as if Gage wanted the whole cake and got to eat it too.

Not to mention that ending was just so unsatisfactory and disappointing. 😓

The Review:
I liked this one. A lot, actually. Though I don't normally come on board the cheating genre, my BFF told me this was one I wouldn't be able to put down. She was right! I enjoyed the characters. I both hated and loved the story. The writing was superb.

I felt for Gage and Tillie. Both of them were in situations that weren't ideal for their happiness. Their partners weren't invested in their relationships anymore, and it lead them to seek comfort outside of their marriages. I don't agree with it. I didn't like it. In fact, I hate cheating because I think of it as cowardly. But in this case, I totally understood it. There were moments in this book that was definitely uncomfortable, but it was "real". It felt real on every level. Their situations, the way they thought, the way they looked at their lives, the way they handled it, the way those feelings consumed them and the way the lie took over their whole lives. It was heartbreaking and exciting all at the same time.

This book made me look at the way I view things. It made me really THINK. But even after finishing it and liking the way it ended, I can look back and say I still disagree with their actions. However, that ending made the character and reading journey all worth it - totally and completely. It was different and it was hopeful and this story will be with me for a long, long time to come.

4.5 stars Ughhhh not how I wanted the story to end at all and not super satisfied with it. Why give it 5 stars well bc it not ending quite how I wanted it to doesn’t take away from the fact that this was really well written and brought out all of the emotions. I’m married and totally can understand some of the feelings the h and H went through with their spouses but for eff sake you went through all of that just for some “self discovery bs” like you destroyed your lives and didn’t even ride it out? Honestly both Tilley and Gage’s spouses sucked at the beginning but no one deserves what Tilley and Gage put them through. All to end when both spouses pass away Tilley wants to be buried with the bracelet gage gave her and gage hung up the picture Tilley gave him!!! I just do not understand!!! But saying all of that and venting this book was good!! I’ve read similar stories and none of them were done as well as this one! If you hate stories that have cheating in them then this won’t be for you!

I don’t usually read books like this but I wanted to give it a go. It wasn’t bad considering I knew right off the bat the whole premise of the story. However, I did not like that ending at all. I was expecting something way different.
If the ending would have been a different way I could’ve given this 4 stars or even 4 1/2.

⭐Top read for 2024⭐

I don't place books on my 'TOP READS' list easily, but this book was effortless to put on that shelf. It's a story I encourage you to read; beautifully written, it was powerful and felt so realistic; I feel a little lost that it's over.

This book follows two married couples; sadly their marriages aren't what they once were. It's about two people who walked into each other’s lives when they needed someone. Someone to listen to and to love. They found that in each other as the worlds around them crumbled. Neither of them did a thing but climb over the rubble to reach the other.

I loved Tilly and Gage and what they went through, what they found and how their lives unfolded. It's written in the second person and however, you view it, it ends in a HEA.

Loved it!

Five minutes after closing down my Kindle there are still tears streaming down my face. This book is about two unfulfilled marriages, willful cheating, lying to your family regarding your whereabouts until everything comes crashing down. I don't shy away nor seek out stories on this topic, but I must say this is the best book I've read to date on this subject. Who knows what pushes people to reach their limits & finally say, I'm going to be selfish, deserve to be happy because obviously my partner doesn't give a rat's ass. Not to condone their actions, I did understand their reasoning, felt empathy for all concerned & also expected their secret affair to crash & burn. What I didn't expect is to be reduced to tears from an epilogue, a summary of the future & yes happiness. Beautiful & seamless writing has made me a new fan of this author.

WHOA NELLY! That's the first 2 words I have after reading this book. I kind of don't know what to do with myself now. This book COMPLETELY consumed me. I knew it was wrong, but this book was so right. I didn't condone the actions of Tilly and Gage, but yet I couldn't look away or put this book down. I intended to read a little bit before bed, but yeahhhhh, that didn't happen. I devoured this book and didn't stop until it was over. I FELT everything this book had to offer. I can't get enough of L.A. Fiore and Anthony Dwayne's writing collaborations! But this book was engaging, thought provoking, sexy, powerful and my world has been tilted on its axis. I wasn't expecting all that this book gave me. And I can't recommend this book enough! I will say you must go in with no expectations and just go with it. You'll be happy you did.

The brilliance of this story is based on how emotional it was, and how it evoked love and hateful feelings about the characters and the story.
Thought provoking, compelling and complex story of love.
This highly emotional story is an unconventional romance that’s not for everybody. However, once I started reading despite the pauses, it was so gripping, I couldn’t not stop reading it and discover the end result.
Tillie and Gage were flawlessly developed and each exercised their right to live the way they did and make their own decisions.
At what price?
Discovering the end result made it a must read.

Not your typical love story

It all began when two neglected married people discovered a new game.
They become friends, the more they chat, the more they realise they have a lot in common.
Gage's wife is always working and never there for her family.
Tilly is in the same situation.
Their story will hit home for some.
Will Gage and Tilly find happiness or will their lives come crashing down around them?
I highly recommend this amazing story.

This is one of those stories which is unique and remains in your mind when finished. This is certainly not your typical romance story, but is relatable as the choices we make throughout our lives define the outcome. This is a well written flawless story which is an emotional roller coaster journey, as well as being raw, gritty, and an all round powerful and riveting tale. I highly recommend for all readers.

I'm sitting here after finishing this book without any idea of how to put into words the emotions and feelings this one pulled out me.
It's raw, heartbreaking, beautiful, romantic, steamy, and everything in between rolled into a book that will pull at your heart and make you feel everything they are. The age old question Is The Grass Greener on the other side? Tilly and Gage will have you wonder if is . Amazing read can't wait to read more from these two

Incomplete by L.A. Fiore and Anthony Dwayne is a book that hits truer to true life then some stories. Gage and Tilly stories here do crossover to some theme of cheating when they both are in a marriage that they feel the other person is not there for them. Gage and Tilly are friends but it starts to cross over into something else.
Enjoyed this different type of story.

I found this to be one of the most difficult but rewarding books to read in ages. This book brought what I feel to be real life situations and experiences through two characters who were so easy to relate with. This book perfected the banter between friends, the development of a friendship, some incredible steam and just the whole package was delivered into this story.

This book can never be unread and the words will forever be in my thoughts. It made me rethink EVERYTHING! There is no right or wrong anymore. The lines completely blurred with tears and I cant quite pick myself off the floor to make the hurt and relief go into full affect.

This was a good story but there was a lot about the word game app and every time I got into the story it switched back to the app which kept throwing my focus, for me, it became more about the game than the story itself it wasn't bad just did not sit right and I felt i couldn't fully enjoy it

There is a wealth of truth and lessons in this book. Real life bleeds through every chapter that only those who have had similar experiences can truly appreciate. This could have had three endings, the one I wished for, the one that is the epilogue and the one I lived.

Hate selfish cheaters. No loyalty or respect for your spouse, your marriage or family then get a divorce.
I dont understand all the 5 star reviews of people rooting for cheaters.

Angsty and heartfelt

I really enjoyed this story. I know that some people have issues with cheating in books. Well this is one of them. It was written just like something that could happen in real life. Tilly is a housewife, doing anything and everything for her family, while getting nothing in return. Her husband is hardly home, working late nights. Gage is experiencing the same thing. They find the attention that they were seeking in each other. I have seen this happen in my own family. I know how hard it can be on a family. There is a HEA, but it didn't turn it the way that I thought it would. There were parts that dragged and were slow, but overall it was a good read.

This was not a book I wanted to like. The subject matter is controversial. I hated what the characters were doing the whole time but I couldn’t stop reading. The writing was so superbly done that I was feeling the emotions right along with the characters. I feel like I’ve been through a roller coaster of emotions after. It felt similar to the feelings you get from Bridges of Madison County. That is truly great writing to me when you feel with the characters. The epilogue felt slightly lacking to me which is why I didn’t give this a full 5 stars. I just wanted more of a resolution.

Still crying

Where do I start! This book is beautifully written on a taboo subject. I felt the passion, love, pain, loneliness, and guilt of the main characters. As for their spouses, I was angry that they took these loving people for granted. But this is what real life is all about. Is the grass really greener?

Almost every marriage story

Well written, taking on the depth of why people stray. I could relate, as many of us can. What I loved? Was that an affair here, helped both marriages, often we are so eager to throw it away instead of fighting or rediscovering our spouses - getting stuck in the mundane tasks of life, live people! Just live . great book

No. Fuck no.
I refuse to accept this ending

It's like the author gave us an amazing and beautiful story filled with so much emotion and love and in the end she went like "lol just kidding"
THEY OBVIOUSLY LOVED EACH OTHER
God I'm so furious!

I loved them together
Their love and their selfishness
All of it.

Incomplete indeed
