A romantic story that has a dark dark shadow over it. But loved with it's mystery plot. Starts out in the city and ends up in a type of one horse western town with everyone knowing everything about everyone, their pasts, and grievances with everyone. Best part was the ending ♡♡♡. Though I did want to smack the main guy in the head and go what the heck man?!?
Zoe's life was never really easy, but with her music career taking off and her fiancee's job looking like it might take off for the better for them. She just wishes he would listen to her and the fears that she has been having. Someone is stalking her and it's just getting worse.
Ever since Jake's dad pasted away. The land that's now in his name has plaguing his mine. Besides his neighbors who have been on his ever lasting last nerve. He knows they're the ones spray painting and making a mess of his ranch. But that not all. Now he has to deal with a woman who his sister dumped on him. What else could go wrong.

This was an amazing story. I couldn’t put it down. I was swept into the story from the first page.
Zoe left everything she knew to run from a stalker. She knew that he would hurt her if she stayed. She made it to a little town in Utah where her life changed. She starts working for Jake at his ranch and slowly starts to feel safe again. Jake is trying to make his ranch work and Zoe brought fresh air to his life. They start dating and work through issues in their past. Will they be able to stay safe when her stalker comes back?

Zoe and Jakes story is a love story with a thouch of mystery. Zoe is a famous piano player that runs because of a stalker that is getting agressive. She ends up in a small town where she gets a job at Jakes farm through his sister. Jake has a difficult past himself with a cheating ex-fiance so he has trust issues. Zoe finally finds a place to feel safe. There are a lot of things happening in this story and I recommend reading it!

Disappearing is NOT always so easy!
Zoe knew that she was in trouble but no one else would listen. So, she did the only thing she could, she disappeared. However, even though she tried to remain hidden, she could only do so for so long.
I loved this story and how Zoe and Jake found each other. It just goes to show that sometimes the hard times in our lives can lead down a wonderful path that even we ourselves didn't think of.

It's been months and Zoe has finally found a place where she feels a little more safe and secure and when she stays at Jake ranch she has started to feel a little safer , that is until he gets down to what she is truly hiding . Jake cant believe that this nice girl that he has let stay on his ranch has lie to him and when she starts to get strange phone calls she believes that her stalker might have found her so should she run or stay and tell jake the truth of what is going on . time will only tell. This is a good book to read you will want to find out what happens to zoe .

Zoe is hiding from her stalker and actually feels safe on the ranch with Jake. When sparks begin to fly Jake is hurt to discover that Zoe has lied to him. Her past is catching up to her, will Jake be the one to keep her safe? Fast-paced read with great characters, steamy chemistry and an entertaining story. Both characters have lots of depth and emotion and really draw you in to the story. I liked it.

this book was a little confusing at first cause of the back and forth between Beth and Zoe but once you get past that there are a lot of things that a reader will like. The fued with the next door neighbors, the stalker of Zoe's there was just so much going on. With the way the ending is I am hoping to find there is going to be a second part so we can find out more about Beth and Wil.

This is the story of Zoe and Jake. Once again Ms Kaylee does not disappoint. I loved this story. The characters are very relatable and likable. Good storyline. Wonderfully written. Fast paced read. Great chemistry. Nice twists and turns that keeps you turning the pages.

She is on the run and his ranch needs saving. This well-written book with great characters takes you on an adventure with many twists and turns. In the end, will they save each other and work for the HEA that both need. Must Read

This book was so jam pack with twists and turns, secrets and love! All the characters were great. I would love to see a book done with Jake's sister! I highly recommend this book.

I liked this story. It had a couple stories going on at the same time. I don't understand, what is so great about being the bad guy? The characters were well rounded, easy to understand backgrounds and you got to feel and know the characters.
Zoe was a famous pianist. Unfortunately she also had a psychotic stalker. It started out with nice gifts, phone calls with breathing, then it progressed to gifts of dead animals and pictures of her at home, in her home and one during the current concert she was giving during intermission. She freaked. Her fiance of two years dumped her because now she wasn't the perfect corporate wife that he wanted. So she ran. When she realized he was tracking her from banks and credit cards, she emptied her bank and kept moving. She would be in some places overnight, some for a couple weeks before she would move on by bus or train. She lands herself in a small town named Solace, Utah. That is just what she is looking for. She is just about out of money, scared, starving and was trying to pawn her old engagement ring when the pawn shop was going to call the police on her because she must of stolen it with Beth, the small town vet, came across them and took her under her wing. She got her a job at her brother's ranch. He needed help like crazy and it would help this stray human. Beth and her brother seemed to like help and take in strays.
Jake took over his father's farm two years ago when he passed away. What he didn't know is that the farm was deep in debt. He has been trying to get things back in the black along with sprucing up the place that is just about to fall down. Baby steps. He had to let go most of the help. What he is left with now is one old deft man and a teenager from an abusive home. Then his sister sends me this little woman who looks like a kid because she is so short, but she jumps at the slightest noise, starving half to death, with dark circles under her eyes. Well, maybe someone can understand all these bills and can get the office in shape. I can either do the ranching or the office work, not both, and I don't want to be inside. I have an ongoing fight with the next door neighbors who keep claiming that my ranch really belongs to them. Their grandfather lost to to the bank, my grandfather bought it, it is all legal in the deed, but they keep causing trouble with me that I can't afford. My ex-fiance, who was my high school sweetheart cheated on me the whole time we were dating and I was the only one in town not to know just up to me proposing. So now I haven't dated or anything because the only female I can trust is my sister Beth.

Saving each other in Solace

Saving Her by Katy Kaylee is another fun, engaging and easy reading book. This story is about Zoe and Jake.
Zoe is trying to escape a stalker that leaves her letters and sends her packages of dead animals. Like totally creepy and really scary. Her fiance, Elliot, does not take this seriously nor do the police., both of which leave Zoe feeling helpless and really afraid. After any package arrives she decides she needs to leave and continue to move around. This is how she comes to stay on a ranch, in Solace, Utah, to work and meets Jake the ranch owner.
Jake is a handsome ranch owner who is struggling to keep it running after inheriting it from his father, along with all the debt, two years previously. Additionally he is dealing with the betrayal of his ex-fiance, who was also his high school girlfriend, that left him heartbroken and also closed off to all women, no matter what their intention.
I liked the fact that Zoe is a strong woman who is "saving herself" even if means constantly moving around and not following her passion of being a pianist. The interplay between Zoe and Jake is interesting to read as they are both suspicious and cautious of each other because of what has happened to them, both which were not of their own doing. However, there is a strong connection between them, not just combustible chemistry, of which there is that also. Jake wants to protect Zoe and Zoe wants to help heal Jake's heart and faith in being able to open up and trust another woman. In the end Jake does save Zoe but Zoe also saves Jake.

Zoe is living the dream life, she's an world know pianist making millions and engaged to be married, but she's being stalked. At first Zoe blows the stalker off, but as time goes on the gifts get gruesome and then the threats begin, but no one takes her seriously, not her fiance nor the police. One night at a concert she receives a gift at intermission the contents were enough to cause her to run off the stage and she didn't look back. After being on the run for over a year Zoe finds herself in Solace Utah, this is where she will truly find the real Zoe.When she arrives she is just about broke so she's trying to pawn her engagement ring and the pawn shop owner is yelling at her to get out because he thinks she stole the ring, this is when she meets Beth who comes to her rescue. Beth just so happens to offer her a job at her and her brother's ranch of course without asking Jake's approval. When Zoe arrives at the ranch she meets Jake and something about him makes her feel safe and he is drawn to her as well. Jake has his own baggage but slowly Zoe breaks down his defenses, but will she be able to let him in Will the stalker find her and will she truly be safe?
This is a great story it captured my attention from the start with the intensity and it just got better with the love story of Jake and Zoe. I really liked the story of Jake and Zoe. Zoe was on the run, from what most people would consider a wonderful life. She was famous, had a fiance, and had money. But, she also had a stalker. When her fiance refuses to help her, she goes on the run. At first she is successful, but somehow her stalker finds her. She ends up in a small town where the only thing she has left to get money is her engagement ring. When she tries to sell it, she is refused and gets help from Beth, Jake's sister.
While helping Jake on his ranch, they grow closer, but he is leary due to a previous relationship that went south in a horrible way. He never thought he would be able to trust anyone again. Slowly, he opened up to her, but she never revealed too much about herself. When things start getting worse, threats from a neighbor, she gets jumpy, but she still doesn't tell Jake the truth about her past.

Zoe is a famous musician and when she gets a stalker that no one helps her deal with she runs. Zoe ends up taking cash money and traveling in ways that she can't be traced in order to stay ahead of her stalker. Solace is where she starts running low on money. She tries to pawn her engagement ring but the pawn broker accuses her of stealing it so she leaves. She walks into a woman that befriends her and offers her a job with her brother on his ranch. Jake is struggling to keep the family ranch from going under and he can't figure out where the money is all going. When Zoe shows up at first he was about to send her on her way until her saw how desperate she was to work. Once she started on his paperwork and showed him where he was losing a chunk of money he knew he made the right choice. The longer they worked around each other the closer they got. Soon Jake was asking her out and just when it seemed like things were going well for Zoe her past comes back to haunt her. Will Jake forgive her for not sharing her past with him? Will her stalker finally get caught?
This is a great story that once I started it I couldn't put it down until I was finished. The chemistry between them is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Zoe was on the run and desperately seeking solace from her creepy stalker who had been escalating his/her attempts on Zoe's physical and mental well being. Her uncaring/unbelieving self absorbed fiancé Elliot, as well as the police have discounted her stalker's cruel macabre "gifts" as harmless.
Forced to flee alone without any support, she finally lands on Jake's secluded ranch a year later, still afraid and running.
I liked Zoe and her survival grit. Giving up a lucrative and prominent career as an upcoming star quality pianist, she desperately sought a life free from threat.
Jake had demons of his own as he struggled to keep his ranch solvent. Heart broken and betrayed by the woman he loved, he was closed off and suspicious of any woman trying to get close to him.
With the urgings of well meaning sister Beth, Jake ended up hiring Zoe to help on the ranch.
I enjoyed the growing relationship especially since Zoe had a lot of secrets to share along with Jake's ability to protect and be her savior. All good in developing a sexy and sweet healing time for them.

This story is about Jake, Zoe, and Elliot. The story starts of with Zoe asking Elliot to stay with her at her concert, but he has a presentation that he must be at and tells her she is worrying for nothing. Immediately, I have to say, I didn’t like this Elliot guy, he seems too much into himself and not caring for his finances fear and it could be that he hadn’t reached his peak in life, but regardless Zoe finally snapped out of it. Zoe has a stalker, and, on that day of her concert, the stalker decides to send her a picture of her performing and a dead animal. Here is where the story takes off as she runs away, being that her fiance isn’t as supportive as she hopes and is expecting that perfect wife when he becomes director. After a year of moving around she comes into a small town where she ends up working on a ranch and falling for the real man that is going to protector. This story is suspenseful, page turner, not wanting to put it down in order to figure out who is the stalker and if this can truly work for Jake. There are several questions on the way when reading this book, but without giving any spoilers, note that this book doesn’t have a cliffhanger and does have a happy ending. This book was amazing and I feel in love with all the characters, Zoe Carlyle is a world renown pianist and was engaged to Elliot and everything was going well and then things started happening to her, Zoe had a stalker and he started send her stuff from cards to presents and then onto dead animals and this was scaring her to death but the last straw was at her last concert the stalker had taken a picture of her on the stage with a note saying he would kill her and with that she ended her relationship and went to a friends and still the gifts arrived he was tracking her so she took out her money and left town and was always on the run and she never stopped until she reached a town named solace and meet a lady named Beth after fighting with the porn shop owner over selling her engagement ring. Anyway Beth gave her a job on her brothers and her ranch. And that’s where she meets Jack Gallagher the man that would change her life forever and she his as well. Life on a ranch is never easy with Jake, Wesley, Owen and the Calhoun family Wil, Lucas, Ian causing all sorts of trouble wanting Jakes land. So how does this all turn out between them all and what happens when the stalker finds Zoe. Read this amazing book to find out.

In this 2nd chance love story we get to meet Zoe who is a famous pianist who has a stalker that leaves her letters then packages with small dead animals. Her finance, Elliot is a couple years older and does not take this seriously along with the police and Zoe just doesn’t know what to do but live in fear. One night while performing Elliot can not stay and she receives a small package with a picture of her from that night and knows in order to survive she packs up and leaves. After several months and many moves around she ends up in a small town working at a ranch for Jake and her life slowly turns around. Zoe keeps the past close to her heart and along the way Jake becomes someone special to her. Jake is a very sexy demanding cowboy who has a hurtful past and does not trust easily. These two try to ignore their attraction to one another but once they go out on a date all bets are off! I enjoyed how they both learn to love again and slowly trust again. Once Zoe knows she has to share her entire past do things fall apart. Jake does what is necessary to keep her safe and seeing him be fully in love with Zoe makes this a beautiful story! When you're being stalked by an unknown person, and no one believes you, what else can you do but run? That's exactly what Zoe does, she was engaged to a man who really seems to be too busy to really take the time to protect or even believe her. She runs off with a small suitcase and the amount of cash she could grab. Not wanting to leave a trail behind for anyone to find her, she refuses to touch her bank card or use her credit cards, not staying in any one place for very long, until almost out of cash and needing a way to make more, in a small one horse town in the middle of Utah, she tries to pawn the engagement ring she kept. Not being believed that someone like her in her raggedy clothing, the owner of the pawn shop accuses her of having stolen the ring, the two get into a very loud argument that draws the attention of Beth, the local veterinarian, Beth. Long story short, Beth hires Zoe to be her brother's secretary/book keeper for the ranch (and I use that word very liberally) The story is good, but I am had a very hard time getting my head around the ranch part when in fact there was only 40 acres of land.

I really enjoyed this book, it was extra fun as it had no book blurb so you had no idea what you were in store for. Meet Zoe, she is a young musician that has everything. She is working in releasing her own music, she has success and she has a fiancee, Elliot. But with everything also comes a stalker that no one wants or is able.ro do anything about. Zoe cuts all ties and runs. Her monster continues to find her but she gets smarter, cash only. And the adventure is far from over. Jake has take over the family ranch and is getting.grief from the Calhoun's next door, they want his ranch. He fight with everything he's got to keep it. Beth, Jake's sister and town vet, takes her to the ranch for a job. Is she playing matchmaker? Or maybe just helping out a woman in obvious trouble? A very exciting and suspenseful read. Enjoy!

There is suspense from the first chapter. Zoe is a world class pianist and she has a stalker. She runs and leaves her fiancé (who is a goof) and travels for a year to escape. She ends up in Solace, Utah. She's desperate and down to her last dollar and she runs into Beth and she sees something in her and shoves her into her brother Jake. Jake Doesn't want her, but there is something about her. They do end up working together and she surprises Jake all the time, as she shows Owen h ow to play the piano and signs with Wesley.
Jake cannot stand lies but Zoe ha lied to him. The Calhoun's factor into this story and it's a whole lot of suspense and page turning for the reader. I enjoyed this journey of these two charterers and you can even see a bit of the future (hopefully) for Beth as well.

He's out there watching her, taunting her and no one believes her so she just runs.....It's been months and Zoe has finally found a place where she feels a little more safe and secure. Being at the ranch with Jake and the horses, Zoe is starting to feel more at ease than she has in a long time. When Jake starts to dig a little into her past, he can't believe that Zoe would lie to him after everything. When weird things start happening and the phone calls start, Zoe can't help but be scared. Has her stalker found her and will she run again?
This was such a good read! Well written and suspenseful and the characters have really good chemistry. Highly recommend

Beth sends her to her brother, Jakes farm. Jake has a past relationship he's trying to get over. He is also is having problems with some neighbors. Zoe is running from her past & starts feeling very comfortable at the farm with Jake. Their feelings grow stronger each day. Her past does catch up to her but her stalker is caught & now Zoe & Jake can live their life in peace & love while they raise a family.
