Wetmore Forest: Snuggletooth and the Big Game
Somewhere deep in the heart of the Pacific Northwest is a wooded glen known as Wetmore Forest . . .
In every monster’s favorite game, a Bracken beetle is used as the ball and Snuggletooth finds one who is a go-getter with a can-do attitude. “You’re going to be right in the middle of the action which makes YOU a pretty big deal!” Snuggletooth tells the beetle. She explains how Brackenball is played, demonstrates awesome acrobatic shots, and the new friends are excited about joining a match. Game on!

From Funko toys comes this seven part children's picture book series, "Wetmore Forest." We all know Funko from their cute big-eyed toys spanning hundreds of fandoms. Funko decided to create their own toys essentially and came up with these books as companions. The gist of this series follows a group of super-cute "monsters" living in a magical, fantasy world called Wetmore Forest. It's all very sweet and adorable. I'm clearly not the target demographic, but I still had a fun time with these. I definitely recommend these books if you have small children in your life. Kids will delight in the adorable critters and their shenanigans. Like all kids books, these have their lessons. Everything from sharing, caring, tackling your fears, believing in yourself, being innovative, and friendship. The art is bright and vibrant, and fairly detailed, and of course, the word I keep using: adorable! Your kids will most likely enjoy these and then want the accompanying Funko figures that go with them.

Like the other reviews said there's no real PLOT....so what?
Honestly I loved this. And I like that there isn't a streamlined plot. I think it's good for kids to have a variety of storytelling styles and books styles. It's a description of a game given to a lil beetle who is the ball in the game.
There is a plot at the end, but only shown in pictures!
I can think of a lot of fun questions that I would ask if I were reading this with a kid. Ans the illustrations and characters are adorable.
