Marlu: The Mango Lunchkin

Rate this book
Kei Kreations presents a brand new concept in Edutainment!

“Multi-talented author S.S. Ravula along with her creative illustrator P. Narayanan have written an original children’s book titled, Marlu – The Mango Lunchkin….Simply stated, “It’s all good.” A good story, with excellent artwork, offering healthy advice on eating organic, and supporting the love of a family unit – it all comes together in Marlu – The Mango Lunchkin. One more thing, when I first saw the word “Lunchkin,” it made me chuckle inside to myself; very cute indeed. Your family library is not complete without this gem.”—- Pacific Book Review

“Ravula’s story takes a new approach to the traditional children’s storybook. Marlu tackles topics of bullying, mental health, and community all under the cute, whimsical concept of Lunchkinland. The messages throughout the story, although for very young children, are dealt with maturely and responsibly…..Overall, this is a lighthearted and positive story that encompasses kindness, community, and uniqueness. Using fruits and vegetables as characters make them both cute and informative. Hopefully, there will be many more Lunchkinland adventures.”—— The US Review of Books

This sweet children's book, beautifully illustrated by P Narayanan, is a lovely story about friendship and the importance of not judging people by appearances. It's a very enjoyable read, and I loved the mango facts at the back of the book too. The one thing that would've improved it would be a very brief introduction to the Lunchkins as a prologue, for people who haven't read any of the other books in the series - it only needs to be 1 or 2 pages, but will make sense of their world for new readers. Otherwise, an awesome story and I'm sure children will enjoy it too!
NB I received a complimentary copy of this book, but I always give an HONEST review based wholly on my own opinions

I received a free copy of this book to review. This is an adorable story! The illustrations are beautiful! The characters are lovable! The story is perfect for reading aloud, but one a child could read over and over to self!!! Highly recommend this book!!!
