The third book in a new series featuring retired Frontier Marine Lucky Savage and the ragtag crew of strays, loners, and misfits he inherited when the Empire went belly up. Life as a mercenary isn't as bad as Lucky thought it would be. It's much, much worse.

What a story to entertain you. Lucky and his crew are awesome. Lucky thought life as a Mercenary wouldn’t be too bad. Actually it’s terrible. Lots of laughs and action.

Lucky and crew continue to face non-stop, impossible situations and yet continue their quest to right the wrongs in the cosmos.  The story is well-written with vivid characters who are each contributing their positive(?) inputs to the cause.  This is hilarious and keeps the reader turning pages to see what will fall apart next.  I received an ARC of this book; this is my honest opinion.  I read for escape and entertainment – this series admirably fills the bill!! I’m looking forward to reading the next in the series.

Another pain filled adventure with Lucky

This story picks up from the last volume with the team in trouble, as always, everyone about to die at each chapter.
There will be much blood and carnage. What else would you expect!?!
I enjoyed book 3 and as a Lucky reader you will too.
What’s that Rocky? Oh yeah, AI’s are cool until their not.

Give it a read

Give it a read of you like lucky and his adventures. I did find the first part a bit hard going but that could be this being book five (5) I have read in a row over a four week period. I put the book down for a week and did not touch it or any books then could not put it down. It is luckys usual trouble he gets into so you should enjoy.

He's Aggravating .....but

Title says it all, Lucky is someone I want to show upside the head, but like Rocky, just can't get away from him. And the Empire just keeps bouncing back, both are amazing like that. Can't just read one so start at beginning and enjoy the madcap ride, I am.

fix the damn typos and you’ll get five stars

This is an absolute fantastic series, and a great addition to the name previous books. However, it is rushed and there are so many grammatical errors that it pulls you out of the book and to me that is a big no-no. Find a new editor or do it yourself, but get rid of the errors.

Ultra violence with a good heart

This this the real action packed deal.Again. But Lucky isn't a mindless machine. You get the feeling he's a good guy it would be nice to have a beer with.

**** SPOILER ALERT ****
James delivers another hair-raising, action packed romp in "Resurgence: Lucky's Mercs #3". The author continues the masterful world building and character development that we readers have come to expect.
I devoured this entertaining page turner in one sitting. I highly recommend this book.
Q: Can Lucky and krew rescue Spider from the Masters?
A: Grab this book and find out for yourself.

Received as an ARC, this is an honest review. For Lucky and his crew they have dug themselves into a very deep pile of shit... one that they may not be able climb out of. The Company has come calling to collect on the help the group had taken from them. It could mean enslaved to The Company- making their lives even more hellish; the bounty hunter Hindin they send is about the most nightmarish creature Lucky and his crew will have to fight against. Bone chilling and gripping from beginning to the crazy end. Highly recommended.

This book was a wild ride of simply put "crazy incidences". The characters are great as in all Joshua James books. It keeps you moving through the pages like a banshee. And just when you think it is going to be a doom and gloom finale, something remarkable happens. I mean strapping your spaceship to another??? It just must be in the stars for this talented author. This is a real great piece of entertainment as are all the Lucky's books, Just a joy to read.

Lucky and the crew are back and this time it is just as crazy a story as usual. Made me laugh a lot and wonder what was going to happen next. Full of great characters and craziness that make this series great. Started with a bang and just got better as I read it. Just a great story at its heart and it kept me entertained.

Really enjoyed this new addition to the lucky saga, it carries straight on with the story from the last book, and with lots of action and more than a few surprises wraps up this part of the story, (so no cliff hangers :) ) but there's obviously still lots more to come. Looking forward to it. I received an ARC and this is my voluntary and unbiased opinion.

So good!

Joshua James just keeps delivering the crazy antics and ridiculous verbal sparring (in their heads or between the crew) that makes this and the other Lucky series so enjoyable.

Boy Lucky can get himself into some serious crap! He and his mercenaries go looking for Spider to rescue her from the Masters. They end up in a heap of trouble with bounty hunters, Blights, and more shooting than firing range. Fast paced with lots if action.
