Alpha Wolf is one of those books where you’re reading like, “Okay, this is fine,” and then suddenly you’re in the refrigerated section watching a man beat the absolute snot out of someone and you’re like… babe… why is this hot?
Inigo is that guy who looks calm until you realise he’s only calm because he’s one bad vibe away from unleashing his wolf and ending someone’s evening. He’s got that “I don’t want to fight but I absolutely will” energy — you know, the kind of man who sighs before he snaps a neck. And honestly? Fair.
Addisyn, meanwhile, is doing the classic “I need to get out of the house before I scream into a pillow” routine. She goes to the 24‑hour market for snacks and sanity, and instead she gets FRONT‑ROW SEATS to a brutal shifter fight. And babe… she likes it. She’s standing there clutching her groceries like, “Oh no… oh yes… oh absolutely yes.”
And the kicker?
The man left standing — the one radiating danger and sweat and wolf energy — is the same guy she awkwardly met in the fridge aisle five minutes earlier. I swear, this woman’s life is a paranormal rom‑com written by someone who hates her.
The pull between them is ridiculous.
Addisyn wants excitement, danger, something that makes her feel alive.
Inigo wants… well, he wants to pretend he doesn’t want her, which lasts approximately twelve seconds before her scent hits him and he’s like, “Oh cool, I guess I’m feral now.”
And babe, the whole “this can never be” thing?
Yeah, they say that.
They say it a LOT.
They say it with the conviction of two people who are already mentally picking out baby names.
The tension is messy, the danger is spicy, the vibes are chaotic, and the plot is basically:
girl sees wolf fight
girl gets horny
wolf gets confused
destiny says “lol okay”
everyone suffers beautifully
It’s not deep. It’s not complicated. It’s not trying to win awards.
It’s shifter nonsense, and honestly? Sometimes that’s exactly what you want.
A 3.5–4 star read — fun, feral, dramatic, and absolutely the kind of book you inhale at 2am while muttering, “Addisyn, babe, please stop making terrible decisions… actually no, keep going, I’m entertained.”

June 4, 2020I found this to be a very interesting read. It had several twists and turns, but it never failed to keep my attention. I literally couldn't put the book down. The challenges that the protectors had to face was just one of the things that kept me wanting to read read read. I just had to find out what happened and what the outcome of the next challenge was going to be. I think that this is a must read and HIGH recommend this very interesting and intriguing book.

I think their counsel members are manic, especially Nia. I thought Inigo would end up fighting her at some point, how crazy she was. It was just funny to see that what was making Cronin crazy was a woman. Not just any woman, the friend of the woman Inigo was in love with.

too short cut
I’ve read some shifter stories which I loved completely. This one left me missing something. It cut from one part to the next. Does mean I won’t read the other ones but use them as fillers.

Slow build up
I love the book but hated the ending. This book gave an intro into many characters. The major hiccup this book has is its ending. I really wanted to know how the main characters worked out their issues in this book.

Shifters
Best shifter (Croin) and a werewolf shifter (Indigo). Both end up with human women, who h is agnenst the council rules. So much happens in this story and a great read.
