The writing is beautiful, the pacing is excellent, and these characters are deftly developed while careening towards the heart-pounding conclusion.
This is a delicious recipe with a pinch of Romeo and Juliet, a dash of Riverdale, a dollop of Twilight, and a smidgen of Rick Riordan’s ancient/modern feel to create a unique vibe of its own that you won’t want to put down until the final conclusion.
A great follow up to the first book, The Travelers. What strong and real characters. I really enjoyed being able to understand the insight from all the characters. The way it is written allows the reader to understand what is motivating each characters actions. Normally, you can only infer those actions when written from only the main character's point of view. This strategy gives much complexity to ancillary characters without slowing down the action. It also doesn't detract from the main plot line. I highly recommend and hope to see a third novel soon!
