When a fire prince falls for a woman he can’t have, the whole world may just go up in flames…

Flynn, a notorious fire fae who always has some hungry princess on his tail, doesn’t think love exists. At least, not for him. But when a chance encounter with an intrepid woman who asks him the unthinkable turns into the most unexpected night of his life, the warrior prince realizes he may have just found his match.

Callie has always been a good judge of character. So when she asks sexy, surly, overprotective Flynn to do the one thing she’s never had the courage to do before—and he says yes—Callie can feel a magnetic pull between them that defies logic or even common sense. But even if she knows there’s something different about Flynn, he’s not the only one hiding secrets in the dark.

Callie may be the only person Flynn has ever wanted in his life, but the secret of her true nature may mean that he has no right to ever be with her. And while Flynn has to fight a lifetime of prejudice, Callie knows they’re meant to be together. Even if it means going up against the most powerful opposition the fae princes have ever encountered before.

This was my least anticipated book in this series and it still found a way to worm itself into my heart! This wasn't was I was expecting Flynn's story to be like at all and yet it was so precious! The writing, as always, was fantastic and the characters are very well written.

I was readying myself for Flynn's story to be all about the 101 women he planned to sleep with and dump after one night because that's the idea that has been planted throughout the past stories about fire fae. They're promiscuous and don't bond, no exceptions. Flynn was the most emotionally vulnerable of the fae princes presented so far and it was so sweet to see him like that. Due to happenings in his past, he doesn't believe he deserves anything good much less a soul bond. Watching him go through doubting himself and eventually learning to trust in himself was awesome!

I was also expecting Callie to be this shy woman next to Flynn and she was also the complete opposite. She's very headstrong in the relationship and it contrasts well with how flighty Flynn naturally is in the same situation. I loved how she already knew about who she was to a very small degree. I liked that she didn't have to have a freakout moment when magic was finally brought up. Though I still find her trust in long lost relatives was very idiotic on her part. Her mom did what she did for a reason, so let's think twice about going back to the people she ran away from in the first place.

I was expecting things to go very well in the end and even though they did the route that was taken was not what I was expecting. It was fantastic seeing Flynn coming into his own. I'm so interested in Ian's story now! I hope his mate will be a dragon because I'm also very fascinated about them in the world this author created.

My Favorite Quotes:

"But if there's anything I know, it's that temporary joy is better than no joy at all."

"[...] I was taught that was all have value in our own ways."

"This is about you needing to decide that you're finally good enough."

Hot Dang! I was turning pages so fast, I almost melted my Kindle. Flynn has been the easy going/easily adapted to the human world Fae and I really wasn't expecting much from his story. But boy did Terry pulled out all of the stops. I am totally speechless on how amazing this story is.

Finally we get Flynn's and Ian's background and the inside workings of the Fire Fae and Light Fae kingdoms. Callie is a new and exciting beacon. What starts out as a romance, soon turns into a drama, and finally morphs to an action packed tale. New characters are added to shake things up and they do it so well and make such an impression - I want them to get their own book. The story is topped off with a fun epilogue featuring Brett's new serfs (read the book!).

I absolutely love Terry's dragons and her Fae have proven to be just as great. I have enjoyed every one of Terry's books and highly recommend them.

Bonds of fire🔥

Flynn and Ian are out in a Club, which neither like because of the reaction the human women have to them. They are moving around in search of beacons to protect, when Callie comes onto their radar😁

This story was amazing as it focuses on love, acceptance and the bonds of friendship❣️Flynn and the fact that he’s a fire fae has always believed that he was the weakest of the fae world. Luckily for him, Callie has grown up in the human world and accepts him for who he is and how he treats her and because of this, they form an unbreakable bond😍 But will Chaos find them and destroy all that they hold dear, or will it be someone they least expected to try sever their bond?🤷‍♀️

I received an advanced copy and I willingly leave my honest review❤️ Looking forward to the next story by Terry.

A Sweet, Sexy, Funny Fae Romance

This story is heartwarmingly sweet and heartbreakingly emotional and just full of laughter and love, and fire and light. The love story is just so wonderfully romantic that it can't help touching your heart and feelings. It's also a story about finding your true self and powers and self-esteem and acceptance, and also about strong and warm friendship and true bonds. I just love this book so much! I strongly recommend this book to all who love paranormal romances and Terry Bolryder.

Held by Heat is the third book in Terry Bolryder’s new Wings, Wands and Soul Bonds Series. It is a steamy paranormal shifter romance that is written in first person, from the point of view of both the hero and heroine. This is a fun read, with great characters, a intriguing storyline, fiery chemistry, and no cliff hangers.

Flynn, a rare warrior fire fae, is one several fae who has been sent to Earth to find beacons and protect the humans from the Chaos Fae. In his world love didn’t exist until he unexpectedly meets his match at a local club. Callie’s instincts draw her to Flynn, and when he accepts her usual request she knows she’s made the right decision. From the start, the chemistry between Flynn and Callie is explosive and hot but with unknown enemies all around them will their love and faith in each other be enough to find a happily ever after? Read it and find out!

Wow!! Another great addition to this fantastic series. With each book and the history of each hero the author has done an amazing job building the Fae World for the readers to experience. The action, drama and romance also continues to grow. I can not wait for Ian’s story! I wonder who and what his soul bond will be.

All the books in this series contain a happily ever after and can be read as a standalone, however, reading it in order will give you a better appreciation for the characters and the series itself.

This is a voluntary review of a reader’s advance copy.

This is a good addition to the Wings, Wands, and Soul Bonds series. I have liked all of Terry's dragon series, but it is nice to now have a series about Fae, whose powers are very different from dragons/shifters. The Fae princes are all likable in their own way, and it is fun to see them try to adapt to and understand human culture.

This book is about Flynn, the Fire Fae, and the development of his soul bond with Callie. Flynn is a sweetheart, and I have liked him from the beginning of the series. He is so damaged from the way the fire fae were treated, and how he has been told that they cannot develop soul bonds. It takes some effort from Callie and his friends to convince him that he can have a soul bond, and that his powers are important and useful.

Callie was likable too, but the misunderstanding at the end seemed a little contrived and unnecessary. Callie should have at least confirmed what the light fae told her before believing them -- she should have at least asked Ian or the other fae princes, before hurting Flynn so badly. I got irritated at her for not doing that. It seemed like that was added just to provide a little more angst to the story, and to give Flynn a chance to use his full powers to save her. I did like, though, how Flynn forgave her in the end.

This one gets 3.5 stars from me, rounded up to 4 stars. I enjoyed it, and recommend this series to anyone who likes paranormal romances. I do think readers will enjoy it more if they read several of Terry's earlier series first, though. Those series are Double Dragons, Tiger Protectors, Awakened Dragons, Awakened Sea Dragons, Rent-a-Dragon, Date a Dragon, Nightmare Dragons, Frozen Dragons, and Forgotten Dragons. Readers should definitely read at least the Forgotten Dragons series before beginning this one.

My rating system is below.
1 star -- Hated it, or did not finish. I usually only give this rating if some of the content is truly objectionable to me, like if one of the main characters does something really awful, and gets away with it.
2 stars -- Didn't like it. This rating usually means that I thought the writing wasn't very good, the editing was terrible, I didn't like the characters, or it had other major flaws.
3 stars -- I liked it, but had some minor issues with it. This rating means that there were minor editing issues, the story needed more character development, it was just too unrealistic, or had some other fairly minor issue. The majority of books I read get this rating – I do not consider it a bad rating.
4 stars -- I liked it a lot. This is a high rating for me, and I rarely give a higher one.
5 stars -- I loved it, and will probably read it again. Very few books are good enough to get this rating from me. The ones that do are usually classics.

Great book 3, can't wait for the 4th!

I am enjoying this series more and more. This one is so powerful. Flynn is a fire fae, but has always been told that he is the lowest of the fae. When he meets Callie, he doesn't feel good enough for her. This story was different because Callie seems to have an idea of what she is. This has some action, but it seemed almost sweeter in some ways. I can't wait to see what happens in the next book with Ian. The ending of the action had a huge twist! The pace is fast, the tone is hopeful and the storyline is character oriented with some action and some steamy scenes.

If you only want to read this series, it is introduced in Dragon in Love. However, if you want to get the whole perspective, you can start with Double Dragons box set and Tiger Protectors box set, but these stories are 2 for 1, read the descriptions. If you don't like that, start with Awakened Dragons box set, then Rent-a-Dragon box set, Date-a-Dragon box set, Awakened Sea Dragons box set, Dragon Guards of Drakkaris box set. The rest of the series, you will have to buy the individual books in each one, but it's worth it! Nightmare Dragons, Frozen Dragons, Club Crimson, Bad Dragons, Forgotten Dragons and this series Wings, Wands and Soul Bonds. No matter how you look at it, if you are just starting reading Terry Bolryder books, you are in for a lot of reading AND enjoyment! She is one of my go-to shifter romance authors. Enjoy!

While I am not usually a lover of stories about Fae I am a Terry Bolryder fan and I am so glad that I took this series up They have all been wonderful stories but this is the best by far. Flynn(Flint) is the fire fae and the one who has adapted to live on earth the best of all the fae He has made special friend in Ian The light fae which is surprising when the light fae are the top of the food chain and the fire fae are at the bottom. In fact the fire fae are so low on the food chain they can't even form a soul bond or can they. When Flynn is propositioned by the most gorgeous woman he has ever seen he is stunned when he realises that Callie isn't just a beacon with a small amount of fae blood but is actually a light fae princess in her own right. She is determined that Flynn is her soul mate one she understands the principle but he is so insecure about himself he continually questions it. But when danger threatens her not from Chaos but from their own fae world he will do whatever he needs to in an effort to keep her safe and in so doing so learns a secret about the fire fae that has been kept for centuries. To do this he will have to form new allies (please give us ultraviolet's story) lose a best friend and learn the secret of Callie's parentage. This is aby far the most emotional of the stories so far and had me turning the pages as fast as I could

Flynn & Callie

Flynn has been the quiet Fae Prince in the group. He never quite joins in with the others. We find out why when he is out to find the next Beacon for them to protect from the dark fae. He's gorgeous but never, I mean never, flirts or mixes with human women. He has no such intentions this time until Callie gives him the most astonishing reason for being at the club when she sits next to him at the bar.

He finds her beautiful, unlike the other women. He knows why she is beautiful even though she doesn't see herself that way. Still, she comes to him. She should be moving to Ian, he's the next to find a mate.

Without spoiling it for you lucky readers, I can't tell you much more about their relationship. I can tell you this the most touching story yet. Falling for Flynn is bound to happen to us all. Learning about his upbringing and his life will touch your heart. He is not your typical alpha hero. Oh, he's gorgeous, strong, smart, and oh yeah in bed...well open the windows to let the steam out when you read this one. You may need some tissues.

The guys and mates help in ways no one would expect them to have to. Ms. Bolryder, hats off to you--thank you from the bottom of my romantic heart for this one.

I loved Flynn and Callie's story. Flynn has the Fire Fae Prince. The fire case are considered to be the weakest of the fae and are pursued by the other fae due to their sexual prowess. Most are part of harems and don't train to fight. Flynn was determined to be different and turns down all the fae princesses who try to get his attention. Unfortunately, this doesn't make the other fae respect his fighting skills, his friends being the exception to this rule. It is also "known" that the fire fae can't form soul bonds. Don't believe everything you hear.

Callie has come to a club tonight determined to find a man and lose her virginity. She starts talking to Flynn at the bar and he recognizes that she is the Beacon he and Ian are there to find. He tries to convince her to give up her quest, but has no luck. Instead, he somehow ends to going home with her and doing the deed. I will not spoil the story for you, but given the prejudices he has grown up with you can imagine that he doesn't think he could possibly be meant for this fae princess, she has other ideas. We also met some new characters that I am sure we will see again.

Held By Heat (Wings,Wanda and Soul Bonds book 3) by Terry Bolryder is a 5 star read.
Flynn is a fire Fae prince sent to earth to find beacons, fae princesses who haven’t come into their powers yet and who are being stalked by chaos. Flynn is really down on himself as he was raised to believe heat fae’s aren’t worth anything and that they can’t form soul bonds.
Callie is sitting in a bar on her 30th birthday looking for a hook up, when she sees Flynn and he knocks her back she goes off to find someone else but Flynn is keeping a close eye on her. Callie has secrets and is shocked when she realises Flynn is someone who knows about her.
Oh My Gosh!! I loved Flynn in this story, my heart really went out to him, Callie and Flynn are perfect together and it just takes a while for him to figure it out. There’s bad guys who aren’t supposed to be bad guys, there’s even a dragon, I would highly recommend this book and if you haven’t already I would recommend you read the others in this series.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

Hot, hot, hot.
This 3rd in the Wings, Wands and Soul Bonds takes a different turn. Flynn envies the other two in finding their soul bonds but he takes a dim view of his future. In his kingdom the females just treat him as an object and not the warrior that he is. That is up until the night he and Ian go to a tavern and Flynn is the one to be approached by a human female with an offer he can't believe. You see Callie wants a knight to ride into her life and rescue her virginity. She wants to get Flynn to do her the "favor" of servicing her. This is where the theme of this series takes an interesting turn. You see Callie has always known that she is a Fae beacon since that is what her mom told her so long ago. Thus starts the romance, acceptance, friendship between the Fire Fae (Flynn) and the Light Fae (Ian) kingdoms, the fighting against the dark fae and discovering betrayal. A very interesting twist on this 3rd story. I was given an ARC of this story for my honest & voluntary review.

This is the third book in Terry Bolryder's new Wings, Wands and Soul Bonds Series, Held by Heat.

Flynn, and his fae friends have been sent to Earth to find human beacons that they are to protect from the Chaos Faes. He discovers cute and innocent, Callie.

Their worlds collide when they unexpectedly meet at a local club. Callie has been watching Flynn, after he gets rid one more clingy girl, she approaches him to make him offer that he can't refuse. From their first encounter, the chemistry between Flynn and Callie is explosively hot. Their unknown enemies will test their love.

I loved the heroine, Callie. Flynn's character held my attention and then my heart. The mysteries in the storyline kept me reading. This is definitely another awesome addition to this great series. I'm usually not into Fae stories, but these I have enjoyed.

Callie is a Fae living in the human world, = A 30 year old Fae!!! She has decided that she needs to take care of that problem as soon as she can. She goes to a bar one night and meets Flynn at the bar and feels an immediate attraction. Flynn is on earth to keep humans safe and, find the Beacons. He's not there to be someone's slave. Been there = done that. When he meets Callie, he is immediately attracted to her but, refuses to get into any kind of relationship with her. He knows that, as a Fire Fae, he can never have a soul bond. Problem is that what he feels with Callie is like nothing he has ever felt. What IS THAT??!! His friends keep telling him to go for it because, they believe that he and Callie are soul-bonds! That's not possible, is it?
This book is a fascinating ride of complex emotions that must be traversed by two people who love each other, no matter whether they should or not!

Burn baby burn
Every book in this series is my new favorite. And this book is no exception. I love the detail in the relationships of the different characters and how their world is nothing like what they think it is. The author went into to such detail with each part of this book that I almost felt like I was with the characters as they went about their mission. There were some pretty huge surprises in this book and not all of them were good for those involved. The author brought me to tears more than once over the plight of Flynn and his soul bond. I was never so happy to see someone come into their own then when Flynn ran to the rescue. I feel that I am going to die a little with each day that I have to wait to read Ian's story, but I just know that it is going to be totally worth it when it comes.

Flynn and Callie heat things up

I fall more in love with these far with every book. The way they interact with each other despite the differences that exist in the fae realm. A lot about the far realm is leaned in this book. We find out about a lot of secrets and lies that have been told for years. Flynn needs to believe in himself. I wanted to slap Flynn and just tell him to get his head out of his rear and reach for the stars. If you believe in yourself you can achieve great things. Flynn finds this out by having to rescue Ian and Callie. Callie's rescue cats are perfect misfits. Brett bonding to the cats is priceless. A very good read and it's of good information about the fae world and even learning about pet dragons.

Really enjoyed this one!

I like this premise of our fmc more on equal footing from the start (already knows a little, isn’t completely clueless). I also liked the whole commitment angle, very fun to watch and still really drew me in! Some lose ends to this particular couple still bothers me (like our fmc origins) that I would have liked to get but hopefully that will be incorporated in future books even if they move on to focus on other couples. Also, can I say I’m actually really excited about the additional support characters!? I want them to get a book (together or separate- I’m not picky). I love that we are finally figuring out the world isn’t just stark black and white but that there are greys in it. I would love for them to overlap more. On to the next!

Dragon kitty

Flynn meets his soul bond in an unusual way. He's propositioned to take her virginity. But he will only do it under certain terms and those terms just made me swoon at what a romantic he is. It's too bad his extreme self doubt and self confidence issues kept getting in the way of fully connecting with his soul bond. I really enjoyed seeing this vulnerable side of Flynn and hearing about how his people are treated was really heartbreaking. This book was more emotional although at the end Flynne turns into the badass I always knew the fire fey were and saves his friend and soul bond. I can't wait too see what mischief Ian is getting into and what's in store for him.

Callie was always told that someday her prince would come. Flynn has always been told that a soul match was not an option for him. The heart wants what it wants. Will Flynn learn to have confidence in their love? Will Callie learn who she really is?

This book was definitely steamy! I didn't blame Flynn for his way of thinking after what he had been through, but loved how he was determined to prove he was more than just his body. I didn't blame Callie for wanting answers to her history, even if I thought that she acted rather fast when it was laid out on the table. Good read and cannot wait for the next in this series!

Holy Heat Meiser Batman!! Wow!! As the fae princes search for the beacons in order to protect them from chaos, we are finding out some not so nice things about the fae realm. Flynn meets Callie at a club and she asks him for a favor that will rock his world.
Through this story we get introduced to more attributes of the fae realm and intriguing characters join the mix.
While I felt bad for how Flynn had been treated in the past, I got a little impatient with how he continued to view himself.
It was good to see how these fae princes had truly become friends and fought for/with each other. I am so looking forward to the next book in this series.

Oh Flynn

Thrown for a loop when he has a soul bond that not only is fully aware of the fae existance, he also never really feels worthy of her. Callie had great patience and strength. I might have actually lost my patience with Flynn even though he is pretty great. I liked that this book really switch it up with the male being the one with self esteem issues. Flynn's past is pretty heartbreaking and you just feel so much for him that you want only the best for him. He just needs to believe it himself. Poor Ian and seeing that life isn't always what we think. I cannot wait to see his book next. I just hope he leans on his friends as backup without being too reckless first.

My favorite in this series so far.

I love this book the best so far in this series. You should absolutely positively try this series!
The fae world is filled with secrets. Flynn has been taught all his life that fire fae are weak and not worth love or a soul bond.
So when he meets Callie he doesn't feel worthy. His self esteem is so low that he pushes her away.
She has known all of her life that she was different and that her mom told her she had to wait for his prince to come.
Problems arrive two different ways in this story. One of them I am sure we will see in future books.

Fire fae!

Held by Heat: Wings, Wands and Soul Bonds Book 3
By Terry Bolryder
Kindle unlimited purchase
Flynn is a fire fae, they are the lowest of the fae. Being a fire fae he doesn't think he will have a mate. So when a human female walks up to him asking for a favor he can't believe his ears.
Callie has got to get rid of it and she has worked out how to do it. So she goes to the local club and asks the man at the bar. But will he do it, will he take her "V" card?
I enjoyed this book. I recommend reading these books in order and because of the sexual content, I think readers over 18 would be best.

Excellent

Oh, my! This love story is so affecting and SO different. Flynn is the fire fae who constantly battles to own his sense of self-worth, and Callie, the beacon, doesn't need awakening. Having a backstory for Flynn makes him that much more heroic, and that list almost brought me to tears! The conflicts are well-imagined, and the difficulty in detecting half-truths and treachery when enemies and allies switch roles with impunity definitely holds the reader's interest. I can't wait to see what these guys do with their newfound knowledge; and that dragon intrigues me...who is he?

Flynn is determined to be seen as more than a sexual being but as a warrior. Callie is after someone perfect to have her first time with, in comes Flynn. Flynn is the Fire Prince who first says no but changes his mind with conditions. Fire faes don't get happily ever after so he is careful. After they are together things are revealed to Callie that were unexpected. This is a wonderful addition to this series. This story is filled with secrets, excitement, danger, love, and suspense. I enjoyed this story and look forward to more.

The best yet!

Loved this story. The excitement of a new Terry Bolryder book is something I always look forward to. This fast paced story follows the fates & lives of strong Fae protecting our world whilst looking for their soul bonds. Flynn is a Fire Fae who outwardly is strong with a soft centre whilst Callie is an enigma. There are plenty of plot twists. The previous characters in this series pop up along with new ones. Fans of Zoe Chant, Candace Ayers & Milly Taiden will enjoy this book and all previous series.

I love all Terry Bolryder books and she didn't disappoint me with this book. I instantly got sucked into the book within the first couple of pages. Flynn's story is one of my favorites. Callie is a virgin and is trying to find the right person to help her with the issue. As she talks to Flynn he realized she's a beacon. I loved watching him fall in love with someone who he thought he doesn't deserve.

I received a arc copy in exchange for a honest review. Thank you Terry Bolryder for the opportunity to read it.

Flynn was the most sexy, human and easygoing fae but I was able to find out how troubled and distorted his concepts and “truths” were. I loved his story with Callie and all the certainty, that I already had a suspicion through Flynn comments from the other two books, that no place is a perfect place as longs as there are different people, powers and beliefs that are placed to keep the status quo. Ian is still my favorite and my heart was almost shattered in that book! I really enjoy the plot and all that characters evolution although Brett is still the odd one!
