Penny attends a charity event with her sister and her sister's fiancé. Bored being a third-wheel, wearing a borrowed dress and trying not to get drunk, she is miserable. Everett attends the charity event only because he has to. He sees Penny and is instantly taken with her. Penny, with a plate full of food that she couldn't even pronounce literally ran into Everett splattering her chest with food.
They had an instant attraction. A conversation starting with cute actions and a hot encounter in a closet leads them to broden their feelings. After this one rezedevous Penny disappears, Everett realises he is not only in lust with her but wants her to be his forever.
This is a short sweet story with an alpha hero! After reading this book my heart is a puddle of goo and at the same time it beats harder for them. If you're in mood for a quick relaxing read, then this is it!

This book is ridiculous sweet and corny 😂😂😂😂 but I liked it! Basically 70 pages of sweetness that can put you in diabetes.
This is focused on a scene only, H -Everett- meets h - Penny- at a charity ball, they have an insta connection, they talk, they laugh, they like eachother , he is sporting a raging hard on and she can mope the floor from underneath her feet of how soaking wet she is and they fuck in a closet. Penny is a 22 year old virgin, Everett hasn't been with another woman in years. When the magic from the closet in gone they split, Everett looses Penny and then it takes him a week to track her down and confess his undying love for her. The end! oh! It also has 2 epilogues , one 2 years from the charity gala night and the second 3 years from the last epilogue.
And they lived happily ever after!

This was a quick, seriously steamy read that was easy to read in one sitting. The Real Man series is one of my favourite one clicks and they are always a perfect bedtime read.
Penny is attending a charity benefit with her sister and her successful fiancé, she feels totally out of place but is used to the feeling of not quite being as good as her sister but there she is at an event that she didn’t really want to attend in a borrowed dress drinking far too much champagne when she walks into the most handsome man she has ever seen. She is instantly taken with Everett and things move quickly but is what she feels real or just lust and can she just walk away from Everett with her heart intact?
Everett wasn’t looking forward to the Charity benefit that he was expected to attend but once he spots Penny across the room he is immediately smitten and has to find a way to meet the woman who has captured him with one look. He sets off to introduce himself only to bump into her upending her plate all over her, but once she meets his eyes he knows he has found the one who was meant to be his. After an illicit and steamy encounter in the supply closet he has never been more sure of anything other than she is to be his forever but finding her to claim her may be harder than he thought. Can Everett find his elusive lady and prove to her they inevitable?

Everett and Penny met at a charity event that neither one necessarily want to be at. Flames sparked up the second they laid eyes on each other! This is a very fast moving, flaming hot Real Man story. One you are really need to want make sure you have your partner close by for when you finish. A very Happily Ever After. Completely safe from any kind of abuse, cheating, no ow/om drama. Well of any kind of drama really

I came into this series late and I love that you can read each story as a standalone. Loved Everett and Penny. The chemistry and attraction that was between them was so good. You could feel it coming off the screen. If you are looking for a quick, steamy read then look no further. Jenika Snow never disappoints. I can’t wait to read more from her.

If you like over the top alpha men and instant love, then this is the book for you! Right from the first page when Everett sees Penny, that's it for him. And when the hook up in a closet at a swanky dinner affair and she disappears afterwards, he goes on the hunt for her. It's hot but sweet at the same time and you'll be cheering them on. I loved the two epilogues at the end because I always like to know what happens in the future of the characters. Kind of wraps everything up for me.

Running right into love
This author is so amazing when it comes to creating intense instant love romances. I think this might be one of my favorites. I love how he put himself right in Penny’s path, of course he didn’t get the result he was expecting. I really think it was a great icebreaker though for a shy woman who felt out of her league. The author may have made him work for his HEA, but the epilogues prove it was more than worth it. I can’t wait to read the next book she brings to this series.

This was a super quick and steamy read with a big giant muscled CEO and a curvy florist, so a bit of that opposites attract element too.
My personal favorite scene(s) were actually the sweet and heart melting epilogues. 💙💜

Oooo, talk about hot! Jenika Snow's Real Man series is all about quick and dirty and Taken is the perfect example. Penny tags along with her sister and sister's fiance to a charity event. A man bumps into her at the hor'dourves table. Everett had to meet this gorgeous woman that captivated his attention, so he bumped into her. What I love about this series, this book is we get into the hero's head. We know his thoughts, his emotions just as much as the heroine's. Scorching hot with all the romantic feels, Taken was awesome!

I enjoyed this steamy and sweet quick read. Everett and Penny's story gets off to a cute start and fast tracks to intense emotions and hot passion. Both characters were likable and I thought they had good chemistry. I loved that the author provided not one but two epilogues for this couple. It helped give a very satisfactory conclusion to this couple's instalove romance.

A quick, fast and dirty little story that is not pretending to be something it isn’t. Boy meets girl at charity event, they want each other, they go for it and boy realizes girl is the love of his life. I liked the fact that it had been a while for Everett and Penny was a virgin. That actually made the story sweet. The epilogues, which I usually do not care for, were great. If you need a quick read for a lunchtime break, read Taken.

This is another good steamy insta-love romance from Jenika and a great addition to the real man series. This is the twenty-first book in the series and is Penny and Everett's book. The chemistry between these two makes for one steamy read I liked it and if you have read the rest of these books then you will too.

This was a super sweet read. Jenika did a wonderful job with Everett and Penny's story. Penny and Everett have an insta-love connection and Everett will do anything to keep it. Penny is extra sweet and Everett is a foul-mouth alpha. These two could not be more opposite or more perfect for each other. I highly recommend this book!

Enjoyable quick, hot and steamy lunch time or bed time read that delivers insta-chemistry and insta-love! As with the previous Real Man series books, Taken gives us a hot, possessive alpha male. Everett has been celibate for a long time and Penny is the virgin heroine and they stumble upon each other at a gala and it’s immediate attraction. This series is certainly worth reading!
