Suleman Akhtar, owner and proprietor of the fledgling Bindi restaurant has a few problems.
With meat suppliers cutting him off, loan sharks closing in, a building that’s falling apart and health inspectors threatening to close him down, how’s a guy meant to catch a break?
However, when his customers begin turning into zombies, you’d think the worst was yet to come … that is, until, Suleman hatches a plan.
Zombies are meat, after all.
Perhaps Suleman can somehow make use of his dead customers to solve all his problems?
Warning: This paranormal zombie comedy contains scenes of extreme incompetence.
I read this as part of the zombie collection, "Zombie Pandemic", as the intro piece. As a zomcom set in an Indian restaurant with hapless owner Suleman and his slow nephew Mandeep "Deep", the story had some humorous moments. At first, I sympathized with Suleman and his misfortunes in running his shack of a restaurant, with its Widowmaker main dish, advertised as the hottest dish created. Despite his penchant for offing his customers for non-payment and stringing them up in the shed, Sule and his slow nephew were actually pretty hilarious. The incident with the health inspector, and his dream of being a trapeze artist, was very nicely done. For any indie story, this was blessedly free of grammatical errors, something for which I am grateful. And, I'm also grateful for my app that allows me to check on the health inspection reports for local restaurants. :)
