She was the one who got away. The one who ripped out his heart and took it with her when she left.
Cole Vincent never expected to see Evangeline Lake again. Back in the dark and bloody day, he’d been hired by her brother to save her in a mission that went straight to hell. Evangeline had been kidnapped and held for ransom, but he’d been sent in with a covert team to get her out. Thrown together in the dark, a stunning attraction burned through them. But she wasn’t meant to be with an ex-soldier who had a past that was littered with secrets and death. She went back to her fancy world. He went back to hunting. Tried to forget her. Case closed.
There are some people you can never forget.
Evangeline “Evie” Lake fell hard and fast for her tall, dark, and dangerous rescuer. Then he flew her back to her home, kissed her goodbye on the doorstep, and walked his sexy self away with looking back. He broke her heart into a million little pieces, and she swore off the “bad boys”—they were just trouble she didn’t want. Case closed.
She needs help. The kind that only someone like Cole can give to her.
The past is coming back to attack. Evie’s kidnapper was never caught, and when she’s nearly abducted in New York, her brother calls in the one man that he knows he can count on…the one man who has proven he can protect Evie from the worst threats out there. The one man that Evie absolutely, positively does not want to see again…
The only man she’s ever loved.
Cole takes the case. Becomes her bodyguard. Gets far too close to her and stirs memories that should have been dead and buried in a six foot hole. The white-hot attraction burns ever brighter between them, but Evie will not fall for him again. Will not. Except…
She is. He is. They are…falling.
Cole wants Evie more than anything, and this time, he won’t walk away. This time, there is nothing that can keep them apart. He’ll fight like hell for the woman he’s always loved. He finally has a second chance with Evie. He won’t screw this up. And he will not let her go again…he will prove to Evie that she can always count on him to keep her safe.
She is the only one he wants. The one who owns his heart. Anyone who wants to hurt her? They have to go through him. Case closed.

Finally! A woman who handles the guy who broke her heart with fire and sass! Evie had me full on giggling when she sees Cole again after breaking her heart 2 years prior. I could never understand a woman who didn’t let the guy have it after breaking their heart.
I loved how Evie didn’t hold back and let Cole know that what he did wasn’t cool. By doing that, she could then open herself up to forgive him and make it believable. I was pretty impressed with her throughout the whole book. I respected her decisions in several instances in the book.
Cole...oh Cole. I didn’t like that he walked away, but he did sure make up for it. There is no doubt that Cole is head over heels for Evie and would do anything for her. He was protective, possessive and very jealous when any other guy even looked her way. He’s one of my favorite types of heroes, and I enjoyed the way he barreled his way back into Evie’s life and did not give up.
As always, the rest of the Wilde security guys made for some extra entertainment. I love these guys and their weird sense of humor they bring to each book. That teaser at the end makes me wish we had the next book now. I can’t wait to see what happens!
2.5 -"What can I do to make you not hate me..?" Stars.
We return to the Wilde Ways universe with Cole Vincent finally getting his own HEA. I have loved Cole since he joined the series, and he has played his part to perfection as a secondary character as it has developed, I had high hopes for this book, sadly as you can see from my rating it missed the mark.
My main problem with Counting on Cole is pretty much the same as I had with it’s predecessor; Crossing the Line in that the whole book was inner monologue heavy, and it bogged down the story to a snails pace. I am used to Ms. Eden delivering RS stories that hit the ground running and continue at break-neck speed to their conclusion and that has disappeared in the last two books with constant/repetitive inner monologues about how the character is feeling/what they want to or are going to do and so on, I found myself skimming because I was getting bored.
My other issue is that Cole and Linc(H from the previous book) were exactly the same man, whereas the previous books all gave the H plenty of alpha tendencies they still had their own identities, whereas these two had nothing to mark them out as individuals, again I reiterate the lengthy and continuous inner monologues from both of them didn’t help because they were pretty much in the same vein too.
I have loved this series from the beginning, but the last two books have left me underwhelmed, which is a first for me with this author, I know you can’t please all the people all the time (and the other reviews prove I am in the minority), and I hope that is the case on this occasion, as Cynthia Eden has been one of my top five authors for many, many years. Chase Durant is up next, another great secondary character, and I just hope he doesn’t morph into his predecessors when he goes front and centre in Chase After Me due for release in July.

A second chance romance between hot bodyguard Cole Vincent and the woman he had rescued Evangeline (Evie) Lake. The start of the romance between Cole and Evie did feel a tiny bit too insta, a few more scenes at the start may have helped, saying that it didn't bother me that much.
It was a enjoyable read, but not one that had me entranced or thinking I'll be re-reading. This lacked the punch I was hoping for, fingers crossed her next book will have me sighing in delight when I finish.
I don’t know why I’m even trying when I keep getting the same results. I get it the author has a formula and she has to stick to it. But it wouldn’t hurt to write different heroes once in a while, you know? I feel like I’m starting to read the same hero over and over. I used to love the heroines because they were strong women with sexual experience and well that’s the only thing CE has changed. We no longer get those strong women.
Two years ago whilst working as a mercenary for hire Cole rescued Evangeline from a kidnapping. Yes he freed her but those few days together meant he lost his heart . Cole knew that he wasn't right for her and needed to clean up his life. Now he's working for Wilde securities and yet again there's a threat to Evangeline but this time there's no way Cole is walking away ! Evangeline doesn't believe that she needs security because she's come a long way since she was that untrained innocent girl and she certainly doesn't need the man who broke her heart hanging around and putting himself at risk out of misplaced pity ! No what Evangeline needs is for Cole to see her as she is, a woman brave enough to cope with his baggage and strong enough to risk her heart but it's her life that's at risk ! I enjoyed the red herrings and misdirection here and its always fun to read about the slick, alpha males who are employed by Wilde securities. What just didn't quite work for me was ironically Cole himself. He is definitely in love with Evangeline but it actually felt like obsession with even his colleagues poking fun at how besotted he was which frequently meant he was distracted by her long legs , behind etc. That being said I'm sure lots of fans of this series will love reading the interactions here and of course there are several incendiary scenes which definitely raised the temperature ! This voluntary take is of an advanced copy and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair
Holy alpha hotness!!! Cole just set the bar for another amazing alpha hero!
I enjoy a second chance story but sometimes the hero is let off way too easily. Not so here. Evie made Cole sweat even as she gave him “what for” for breaking her heart two years ago. She doesn’t let him back in with just a hello. She is fierce and feisty, smart and witty and she is in danger, again.
Cole is exactly the type of hero that I love and salivate over. He was so jealous that even as Evie worked he could barely contain himself. He is also protective to the extreme. It is his job to keep her safe and he is taking it as seriously as he’s taking his second chance with the woman he could never forget.
I loved everything about Cole and Evie as well as their struggle to keep her safe, find the bad guy and heal the past with a new fiery relationship. This couple absolutely sizzle across the pages. Add in secondary characters that bring fun banter and a light humor and this made for a great read!
If you follow me then you know how much I love books by Cynthia Eden. She writes the best stories with the greatest alpha hero's. They are the greatest! In her Wilde Ways series, all the hero's have been great but I do have my favorites. In the series, it's Ghost (James), Cole and Chase.
Two down, one to go. We should get Chase's story something this summer. I really can't wait. His huh makes me laugh every time.
Enough about Chase right now. We still have Cole's story to deal with. I truly loved him and Evie. Together they are what makes romance a wonderful thing to read.
They got off to a rough start but you could see right away they really loved each other. For some couples, their falling in love might have seemed rushed, but for them, it just really worked. The sad thing is that they had so much that seemed to be in their way. These two really had to fight for each other.
And that they did.
We learn so much about Cole and his past in this book. We've only known him for the snapshots we got from prior books. I really enjoyed learning more about him. He has so many layers and faucets. You at times want to hug him and tell him that he's a great guy.
Now poor Evie I really feel for. She's had it pretty bad for the last few years. Sure the time between her meeting Cole didn't seem to bad other than her miss Cole but stuff from her past catches up to her and Cole is back to make sure nothing happens to her.
I so enjoyed this story and once I started it couldn't stop reading it. I'm so happy that Cole found his HEA. This is a wonderful story that I know you will love. In fact, do yourself a favor and get the whole series.
Another “Wilde Man Bites The Dust” Action packed second chance romance. Cole Vincent saved Evie when she was kidnapped two years ago then walked away. Now she needs him again. Evangeline Lake fell hard for Cole and he broke her heart when he just left without a goodbye. The long wait is over and Cole finally gets his HEA and it was everything I hoped it would be. Alpha male, protective to the core. Surprise ending and the lead into the next book. Amazing!! I received an advanced review copy of this book from NetGalley and leaving a review voluntarily.
I've been waiting for Cole’s book for a while now. I liked him when we met him, and I like who he’s become.
Evie was kidnapped 2 years ago, and Cole at the time was a mercenary who put a team together and got her out. They fell in love, but he knew she wasn’t going to want someone like him in her life. After an unforgettable night, he delivered her back to her brother, safe and sound. But he never found the kidnappers.
Evie has spent the past 2 years trying to forget the kidnapping and Cole. She’s also spent the past 2 years becoming proficient in self defense. I like how she took her life into her own hands afterwards. Not so much refusing to be afraid, but rather doing everything she could to mitigate that fear.
Cole was brought in to Wilde in I think Ben’s book (so book #3 in this series Before Ben). He’s spend the past couple years trying to become someone better, someone Evie would be proud of. But he knows that the stains on his soul will never wash clean. When Erik Wilde offers him the case to act as Evie’s bodyguard, Erik isn’t thrilled. The last time someone requested certain agents by name, it was a set-up. So he cautiously let’s Cole know that Evie’s brother wants him. Cole knows the second he hears her name that he’s going. He knows no one else will take care of her like he will.
But 2 years is a lot of time for Evie to think about how after an incredible night, he just vanished. And that’s a lot of time for anger to build. I love how when she sees him at her door she shuts it in his face. When she realizes he isn’t going anywhere she allows him to tag along, since she knows he’d just follow anyway, besides, she’s almost kidnapped once again. She may still be mad at him, but she’s not stupid. She knows he’ll protect her. What she doesn’t know, is that he came back to get her after he ghosted her 2 years ago. He kept in contact with her brother the whole time, but Evie never knew. Her brother never told her.
One thing that I find interesting is that Cole usually had a sense of humor, but while he’s near Evie, he’s a big growly crankypants. She isn’t safe, she isn’t his (or at least he doesn’t know she is yet) , and it’s stressing him out. Hence all the growling and grumping. But he makes her cinnamon rolls, guys! He’s so adorable when she comes out for breakfast. I loved that scene, and I really really loved the paintings (no spoilers!).
I love second chances books, and this one worked well for me. I can’t wait to see what the next Wilde Ways book holds!

“I'm your monster, baby. the big bad wolf who bows to your commands.”
Cynthia has given us another blockbuster in Wilde ways series! Cole's story was long time coming, He got his 2nd chance at Wilde & I'm so happy that now, he's reunited with Evie❤
“A monster? No way, no day. To her he was the hero of the story. If someone said differently, she just had to kick that person's ass.”
2 years ago, Evie was kidnapped & Her bro-Harrison- hired Cole to rescue her. They fell in love. He left. A king asshole move, then again we hadn't known Cole's reason. Or the lies Harry told him😤
Now, Evie's in danger again, her kidnappers Were never found & it looks like they're back at it again.
Cole has his 2nd chance with her, & he don't intend to screw this up. He'll keep her safe & he'll win her love & trust.
A Gala, 3 very suspicious suspects & 3 kidnapping attempts (None of them work out😁. In last one, some of the bad guys are caught..) Many truths are revealed, so does info about an accident long ago..
All along, their love rekindling.. They never stopped loving eachother & Now they have a chance at forever...By hell or heaven, they're gonna take it😍
P.s. loved Cole's hospital proposal! So excited for Chase's case❤
Counting On Cole by Cynthia Eden is book 8 in the Wilde Ways Series. This is the story of Evangeline 'Evie' Lake and Cole Vincent. I have read the previous books which added to my enjoyment of this one, but I did feel you could make it a standalone book if you wish to. Evangeline abut 2 years ago was kidnapped and help for ransom but she was saved by Cole who was a mercenary for hire. They had close contact together for a few days that was enough for both of them to grow strong feelings for the other but Cole felt that he wasn't the one for Evangeline so he dropped her back home and left. This broke Evangeline heart and still to this day leaves a hurt there. When she is almost kidnapped again her brother calls in the only man that can and will keep her safe...Cole. Of course Evangeline wants no part of him, but Cole isn't giving up his chance to keep her safe. Really enjoyed their story and I hope to read more from this author soon!
In classic Eden style, the book is suspenseful, romantic, sexy, and has a few surprises. It’s Cole turn to take the leading role. Cole is a bad guy that’s good or a good guy that’s done bad things. His past haunts him. He has regrets, but his biggest regret is walking away from Evie. At a client’s request, Cole finds himself face to face with Evie. Now he just needs to get her to forgive him, while he protects her once again from an unknown enemy. Just maybe, he will get his second chance at love.
Another great entry in the Wilde Ways series. Evie shows her strength right away. Right from when she opens the door to Cole standing outside her door. Great banter with these two. Second chance romance, and Evie makes Cole work hard, as she should. Lots of action. Can’t wait for Chase!
Wow! Great book! The two main characters were in love with each other the whole time, I loved that aspect. Like, seriously in love! The storyline was great, the action and suspense was fantastic. Like I said, great book. 5 stars
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Cole isn't one to sidestep things, “boyfriend. Partner.” Cole shrugged. “The guy who makes her scream at night.” I liked this book, I loved how possessive Cole was
Counting on Cole is the 8th book in the Wilde Ways series. It's a Romantic Suspense with a second chance trope. This book has you hooked from the first to last word, especially when the MC comes knocking on his love interest door and her response is the bomb! Wilde Ways series will not disappoint and each book is a stand alone and doesn't have to be read in numerical order. With this book you get action, suspense, angst and drama, humor, and a HEA.
Cole Vincent met Evie Lake when she was kidnapped and he was sent in to get her back by her rich step-brother. They were together for a week and had one wonderful night together and fell in love but when he returned her back home he walked away. It was the worst decision of his life, and he always kept an eye on her until 2 years later... Evie's kidnappers are out to get her again and Cole sets out to keep her safe and will do anything to have her forever this time. He promises nothing will ever come between them again. But Evie has a problem "Counting on Cole" this time around and it's up to him to prove that she can...
Counting on Cole bk 8.. A sizzling romantic suspense with Mystery [ 18+ ] The Wilde ways series is awesome
This book follows Cole and how he finds his happy ending.. I have to say Cole's story was written well and his character is amazing..
This book is packed full of: ⦁ Awesome characters ⦁ Private Security Romance ⦁ Second chance romance ⦁ Dark themes ⦁ A bit of a Kidnapping trope ⦁ Steamy ⦁ Forced Proximity ⦁ Possessive Hero/Touch her and you die trope ⦁ Tattooed hero & scared hero ⦁ Takes care of his women ⦁ Love at first sight feel ⦁ Strong friendships ⦁ Fast read ⦁ Action packed ⦁ Mystery ⦁ New Characters Joining in through the book
Since book 3 when you first met Cole i have been really liking his character throughout all the books he has been in so far and i am so glad that i read Cole's story and see more about his past in this book.. i am glad that the writer put Cole's story together because he is amazing character and needs to be happy..
Cole is strong, smart. fast, puts on a mask so no one can see that he has been hurt a lot, he has a lot of tattoos that he designed and a lot of scars, he likes that he has friends in his life that look out for him and a boss that is his best friend and they all care a lot about him.. I liked that you got to see a lot more of Cole's feelings and also some of his past in this book.. Cole will do anything to get Evie back in his life even be her BodyGaurd again to keep her save from the bad guys because he does not want to lose her again because she means everything to him
Evie is smart, fast, looks out for people that she cares about, she has been hurt in the past and still loves her Ex boyfriend.. she has her brother that looks after her and is always there for her.. I liked that you get to learn more about her past with Cole.. When she sees cole again she wants to hate him but feelings get in the way and also when he keeps saving her then that makes her fall all over again but once she hears that cole came back for her but her brother did not tell her then she gets mad and she starts to see that cole has always been in her life and she wants to keep him in her life
Fav characters are: ⦁ Cole [Works for Eric] ⦁ Evie ⦁ Eric [owns Wilde personal protection business Security company] ⦁ James [aka Ghost, Freelances for Eric] ⦁ Chase [Works for Eric] ⦁ Harvey [Works for Eric]
I really like the strong friendship Cole has with all his work friends but also you get to see the strong friendship he has with James, Chase and Harvey in this book and i think it's so sweet.. I like that Evie has people in her life that care a lot about her and want her to be happy but i did not like the way Evie's brother tried to keep cole away from Evie but her brother did make it up to them in the end..
I liked the second chance romance between Cole and Evie.. They are so cute together and it was awesome to read about how the relationship gets stronger throughout the book.. Cole and Evie are made for each other..
After I have read a few PG romances in a row I need some series "sex payoff". Know what I mean? Well, yesterday I felt exactly that way. Less SWEET. More SMUT. I knew exactly which book on my TBR shelf to read: Counting On Cole. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Cynthia Eden's "Wilde Ways" is a series I can turn to when I need really great writing, compelling stories, and STEAM. FOR. DAYS.🔥This book was exactly what I wanted. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Evie was kidnapped two years ago and the man who saved her remains in her heart. When the threat to Evie returns, so does Cole, ready to protect her again. These two have history (which we read about in the epilogue and...holy hotness!). ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The love story between Cole and Evie is filled with heat and secrets and learning to trust again after heartbreak. I loved every page.
Safety: -2 years separation -Both remained celibate -Neither were virgins -No ow/om drama -No cheating -Epilogue months later I guess? It doesn't say how much time has passed but
I liked the backstory, the twists were wow. I guessed a bit of it but didn't expect the ending,
So, I will say that half chapters of sex is not the best storyline. While I like that and all, I also like relating to the characters and following an interesting storyline. These books have had less and less story to them. Are you telling me, that the bad guy went 2 1/2 years between kidnapping events and it was for money for something specific? I would think it would have been 2 months later, not over 2 years. So, not a great story
4.25 stars--COUNTING ON COLE is the eight instalment in Cynthia Eden’s contemporary, adult WILDE WAYS erotic, romantic suspense series focusing on the men and women who work for Wilde Ways Security. This is former Delta Force soldier Cole Vincent, and choreographer Evangeline ‘Evie’ Lake’s story line. COUNTING ON COLE can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.
Told from dual third person perspectives (Cole and Evie) COUNTING ON COLE follows the rekindling relationship between is former Delta Force soldier Cole Vincent, and choreographer Evangeline ‘Evie’ Lake. Approximately two and half years earlier, Cole Vincent was hired by Evie’s step-brother Harrison when the woman in question was abducted and held for ransom. Evie Lake fell in love with Cole Vincent but upon her return home, Cole disappeared without a trace. Fast forward to present day wherein Cole is once again hired by Evie’s brother when threats against our heroine’s life become dangerous and real. With the reappearance of Cole Vincent, Evie struggles with long buried emotions when Cole promises he will never run again. What ensues is the rebuilding romance and relationship between Evie and Cole, as Cole and the team at Wilde Ways battle an unknown enemy but a enemy that is coming from several different angles.
Evie Lake has never stopped loving Cole Vincent but struggles in the face of betrayal and loss. Having disappeared immediately upon their return, Cole remained in the background while Evie went on with her life. Cole Vincent never forgot about the woman that stole his heart but our hero was forced to walk way by threats of another nature.
The relationship between Evie and Cole is one of second chances; a spirited, intense and rekindling romance between two people pulled apart by distance and time. The $ex scenes are passionate erotic and seductive without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including Evie’s best friend,Leo and her brother Harrison; Broadway director Robert Demakis; producer Stephen Lowe, and artist/Harrison’s ex girlfriend Gia Eastman. We are re-introduced to several agents at Wilde Ways Security : James ‘Ghost’ Smith, Chase Durant, and Eric Wilde.
COUNTING ON COLE is a fast paced, energetic and engaging story line. The characters are dynamic and spirited; the romance is tender, provocative and captivating. COUNTING ON COLE is another welcome addition to Cynthia Eden’s WILDE WAYS romantic, suspense series.
Counting on Cole was a rollercoaster ride of emotions and danger. We have suspense, secrets, lies, humor, and passion. You can feel the emotions just sizzle off the page as you read.
Cole Vincent works for Wilde Security after being a mercenary once he retired from Delta Force. Cole was hired by Evie's brother to rescue her after being kidnapped two years prior. The whole scheme had to do with her step-brother and step-father she just got caught in the middle, or so was originally believed.
After less than a week together, Cole knew that he could not live without her, but he was forced to walk away believing that he was not good enough. Cole kept an eye on her over the last two years both to make sure she was ok and to be in her presence even if it was from a distance.
When her brother thinks that her life is in danger again he seeks out Cole, because he knows that Cole will do whatever is necessary to keep Evie safe. Evie's life is threatened a couple of times whether by kidnapping or going to save her brother. I never know what to expect when I am reading a Cynthia Eden book. I did not expect the twists and turns of who was involved in trying to bring down her brother, but also who tried to kill Evie. All this started because Evie's brother's girlfriend was jealous of Evie and thought that she deserved everything that the family had. You definitely never know when the crazy ex-girlfriend is going to try to ruin someone's life.
I have no idea how Cynthia does it, but she always writes original stories for all of her characters and she draws you in making you feel like you're there with them. I am always looking forward to being drawn into the worlds that she creates, whether we go on a rollercoaster ride, deep into dark territory with a serial killer, or fun with shifter romantic suspense. I can never wait to read the next book, and in the case of this series I am looking forward to seeing Chase fall as hard as he has watched everyone else and made fun of them. I can't wait to see how much he gets ribbed by the other guys. And I hope they return all the "Huh" replies he always gives them.
ARC received in return for voluntary honest review.
Hmm. I'm not entirely sure how I feel about this book. Was it swoonworthy? Sure. Was it as good as some of her other books? Not as such. Which isn't to say it was bad - because it wasn't. It's a decent romantic suspense - if a little instalove. The action is interesting, the mystery is relatively complicated, I liked both characters but something just missed the mark. To be fair I'm not a huge fan of second chance romances so that probably didn't help. It also felt a little repetitive. This series is very similar - but then again, most romantic suspense's are once you've read enough of them.
I liked Evie and I liked that she didn't just let him back into her life without working for it. I liked that she saved herself as well - she wasn't just waiting around for Cole to step in. And I did like that Cole constantly acknowledges that she is the reason she's safe - not him. I didn't love the complication of why he left or that Cole was okay. It kind of felt like he started out sane and went all monster bad guy towards the end and I didn't really feel it. Cole never really came across badass like Ghost and it felt false.
I did like the ending and the dynamic between Harrison and Cole.
Overall three stars - a relaxing beach read or distraction from everyday life with romance and suspense.
Counting On Cole by Cynthia Eden is latest in the Wilde Ways Series. This is book eight but Cole has been making appearances in several of the previous books. It is now time for him to get his own HEA. Working for the Security Company has given him a second chance at life after leaving the military. It did seem so fitting that his love story should be a second chance one too.
Looking back at his past, his second chance is with a first instant attraction woman that he had saved from her kidnappers. While Evangeline Lake may have felt that Cole broke her heart. It is easy to see how her feelings could have been more hero rescuer worship. Certainly their differences in class would have affect life if Cole had stayed around then. All of these facts are part of the description so no spoiler here. But it is the here and now that moves this story into the action-packed danger and hot romance realm.
Strong but tormented heroes are part of Cynthia Eden’s signature story telling. Cole fits the bill from head to toe. While Evangeline Lake may need protection she is not a damsel in distress waiting for him to show up. This couple has many different kinds of sparks flying around. One thing I can count on in an Eden book is that the bad guys will be stopped and love will win out. The fun is in how all this comes about. Counting On Cole is attention holding from beginning to end.
An ARC of the book was given to me by the publisher through Net Galley which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
A second chance romantic suspense I won't soon forget is RIGHT HERE with Counting On Cole, the magnificent and well written, 8th Wilde Ways novel! I have been waiting a long while for Cole's story and its finally HERE and it was EVERYTHING! Cole had to work hard for his second chance and the sparks and chemistry between him and Evie was astounding and life changing and 100% endearing!
I never get disappointed when I read a book by Cynthia Eden. Especially one of her fabulous romantic suspense stories. And Counting On Cole was especially good. The heartache, the heart pounding suspense, and weak-in-the-knees romance and passion made this story impossible to want to put down. Cole sometimes said the wrong thing, but oh mama, he knew how to make it up to Evie in THE BEST POSSIBLE WAY! And the fact that Evie knows how to take care of herself was inspiring. How she handled herself after she almost gets kidnapped again right after Cole comes back, actually makes me consider taking some martial arts and self defense classes myself. This was awesome and I LOVED Cole and Evie so much! The story was packed full with heat, danger, sweetness, and wit that made this extra special. I so am ready for what's next!
Counting On Cole gets a ENDEARING AND AMAZING FIVE...OR MAYBE A SIX GOLDEN STARS!
I voluntarily reviewed a copy of "COUNTING ON COLE" OMG!!!! What a rollercoster ride this story takes you on full of danger, suspense, intrigue, secrers, lies, angst, humor, passion, adrenaline non-stop mindblowing twists and turns a page turner for sure. Cole Vincent works for Wilde Security Firm he saved Evie Lake's life 2yrs ago they had a fling then he walked away without even saying goodbye shattering her heart. Evangeline Lake was a Choreographer trying to get over her broken heart when who shows on doorstep once again non other than Cole Vincent her brother Harrison hired him once again because someone tried to run her down. Evie and Cole's journey is one bumpy ride she is strong, determined, feisty, she could fight, weild a knife, use a gun like no other raking back her control to never be a victim again so she tells him she doesn't need his help. This is one story you don't want to miss getting brilliantly written with realistic, engaging characters that pull you right into all drama two secondary characters stand our in this story Coles partners Chase and James I loved their personalities. I defintely recommend to get this addicting book this series is totally awesome I can't wait for next book "CHASE AFTER ME" is Chase's story and "NEVER GONNA HAPPEN" sooo looking forward to reading these two books. PHENOMINAL READ!!!!
