This was a very good read. I loved the characters, especially Jason. I was able to relate to many of them. At the end of the book, I got a feeling there will be a part two. If so, I can’t wait to read it. I highly recommend My Current Situation.
The entire time I was reading this book it reminded me of how funny Marlon Mccaulsky FB posts are. 😂 This was a cute romantic comedy that made me laugh out loud. I instantly fell in love with the characters, and they all came with their fare share of shenanigans. Jason… my guy! 😂 He was definitely an a$$hole, but he always kept it a bean. He knew how to throw shade, and although he had everyone in an uproar he kinda sorta had good intentions behind it but not really. I don’t know how to explain him exactly, but let’s just say ultimately he ended up doing the right thing. Danielle and Mike were annoying as hell 🙄. Overall it was a pretty decent read and I enjoyed the dynamics of the different relationships between all of them.
The typos though 😕😒🤦🏾♀️
This book just needs a good comb through. There were MANY typos, and I lost count after awhile, but a solid grammatical edit would do this book some good. Also the formatting was way off. New chapters were starting in the middle of the page, but the previous chapter was at the top… stuff like that. It didn’t take away from the story being good, but it did throw the flow off for me throughout.
Title: My Current Situation Author: Marlon McCaulsky Genre: Romantic Comedy Pages: 247 Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Book # 49 for 2024
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ 4.5 stars Marlon McCaulsky’s My Current Situation pulled me in from the very first chapter. The characters feel real and relatable, and the storyline kept me hooked with its mix of sex, drama, lies, humor, and heart. McCaulsky has a gift for making you see yourself or someone you know in the situations he writes about.
This book is an engaging, page-turning read that I’d recommend to anyone who enjoys authentic, character-driven stories. I only wish there was an audiobook version so I could enjoy it on the go!

I just finished “My Current Situation: An Atlanta Tale” and I’m here to tell y’all it is a 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟CAPTIVATING, UNPUTDOWNABLE, MUST READ!!! Written with cinematic imagery, that put me in the mind of the classic “Best Man” movie, this drama filled story yanked me in and unfolded right before my eyes. The storyline was realistic and the characters were relatable. I felt like I knew them all or knew someone like them. There were a few errors but nothing that takes away from the story.
This is my first time reading Marlon McCaulsky’s work and I can’t wait to read more. Take my word! 1-Click NOW & read what all my hype is about!
My Current Situation is an entertaining read that dives deep into the dynamics of friendship and relationships. There were funny moments and moments when some of the characters pissed me off, but what I loved about this story is that I was rooting for all the characters -flaws and all- and loved how we were allowed to see them come full circle.
