*'Geshe' is a Tibetan Buddhist academic degree for monks and nuns.
Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche is a fully accomplished meditation Master and internationally renowned Teacher of Buddhism who has pioneered the introduction of modern Buddhism into contemporary society. The term "Rinpoche," added to Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso's name, is a Tibetan word that means "Precious One," and has been added as a mark of deepest respect.
Es un libro denso, con mucha información que en algunos capítulos es repetitiva. Está enfocado a la escuela del budismo tibetano. El autor hace referencias y menciona muchos conceptos, libros, sutras y personas que da por hecho que son relevantes y conocidos para los lectores. Para entender el libro con claridad hace falta estudiar o tomar talleres de introducción al budismo eso facilitaría la comprensión del texto. Lo recomiendo sólo para lectores que lleven estudiando budismo al menos 1 o 2 años.
El título es tan ordinario que cuesta creer que realmente sí ofrece herramientas concretas, basadas en el Budismo Mahayana, para alcanzar realizaciones espirituales muy elevadas en esta vida.
