This was a unique little erotica based story that had a lot of good bones to it and could have been great book if the author had wanted to continued with the world building and plot. It was still a good read though, even though it was kept as a short smutty novella.
I probably would have enjoyed a little more without the Master/slave dynamic, but that’s just not my kink, to each their own...

A fantastic book from the author. This had me intrigued when I read the blurb. I loved the telepathy between them, including a paddling of hot sexy scenes involving the three and more hotness. Items must be kept in the High Priest possession otherwise kayos would be leashed on the world. I cant wait to see what happens in future books.

An Unusual Threesome
This is a different kind of fantasy romance, involving supernatural beings and a corrupt church-like group that feeds on supernatural power. There is violence and cruelty, as well as domination, as the three main characters slowly learn to trust and love each other. The story is good, but very dark. I wish the author had expanded more on the background of the Conclave and why they sought supernatural power and what they did with it.

I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for my honest review.
In the past I've always avoided dark m/m erotica, but that ended once I read "Levi's Rogues" by Kris Cook. Though this is the first story I've read by Cook, it is obvious he is a skilled story teller who knows how to draw a reader in within the first few paragraphs.
When strong components of BDSM, denial, and forced sex are combined with the supernatural, hypnotic spells, and loss of control of one's body, one can only imagine the end result.
Levi's Rogues will take you to the precipice and hold you there, and hold you there, and hold you there.
In this story we meet Levi Dove, a young man who has spent his entire life studying and training to become a priest for the Conclave, a group who obtain their power from energy stolen from jinns and infrits, supernatural male demons that exist in different planes of existence. When Levi becomes the newly appointed high priest of the Conclave, after a bloody and violent ceremony, his first assignment and only reason for existence is to become a vessel that draws and holds energy from two demons who've been captured by the Conclave and pulled into the conclave's time line. One of the demons has been there for centuries and the other only days. The twist is their energy is transferred into Levi when they engage in simultaneous anal and oral sex him.
I have to say, the sex scenes are disturbing, titillating, and highly charged because the way it all works is that while demons service Levi they are again and again denied orgasms!

Unforeseen Connections...
Wow, this story by Kris Cook blindsided me, yes it was that good.
Since he was a child Levi Dove trained and honed his powers to become the chosen one to become the High Priest of the Conclave. All his schooling and discipline paid off as he was now facing the hardest test of his life of becoming the High Priest. Levi now needed to perform the seduction ritual with 2 immortal prisoners. It should be an easy task for Levi as he had been preparing for this all his life. When he locks his eyes with the Rogues, Jacques and Reno, all his training flies out the window. He experiences sympathy for them and that is simply not acceptable.
The three of them all feel an immediate connection to one another, both physically and emotionally. Levi knew he needed to connect to them in order to capture their power. If not he would be executed. But what he felt for them was on an entirely different level.
A wonderful story of forbidden magnetism that delves into the sacrifices needed if they all want to be together. I am hoping that Kris Cook continues to delve more into this genre.

Levi's Aunt Grace has been honing Levi on his duties to the Conclave. The Conclave is about keeping the immortals from being a danger to them .
There is magic involved and with Aunt Grace intuition Levi is getting good all this magic perhaps hoping he won't have to use it ...
When your a high priest magic is part of your life .
Demons and Angels exist also humans but they are evil like all immortals .
He learns that with silver wings is a phantom and with gray smoke is a shade .
Through circumstance Levi gains power and becomes a High Priest but with that commitment comes a ceremony, where there is to be a tripling between the two rogues plus himself.
At this ceremony there was to be only suffering for the rogues , but sometimes when any number of humans meet we cannot shut out our desires and desires often grow into much more.
Great book Kris ... Need book two now ! Thanks once more.

A nice start
Really this was a 3.5 star book for me, but it's rather round up than down.
I loved the idea of the story, and the lore was great, but there were a few things that kept it from getting an amazing story. I wish Jacques had spoken more like a 200+ year old creature. His use of the nickname "babe" felt unlikely. The D/s aspects felt a bit forced, and the ending felt rushed.
Is this worth a read? Absolutely! I enjoyed it, and will read more in the series. Could it be improved? Yes.

Jacques has been a prisoner over 100 years when Reno joins him as a cellmate. Levi is the new high priest and must have sex with them to steal their powers but are surprised when they form a stronger connection. Feandan is the powerful leader of the Conclave and he wants to ensure he doesn't lose his source of power. Kris Cook did a great job with this story. And most importantly LOVE does conquer evil!
