Yuki, vieille dame au quotidien un peu monotone, et Urara, adolescente rêveuse, se sont découvert une passion commune : le boy’s love. D’abord un peu gênées de passer du temps ensemble, les deux lectrices ont petit à petit appris à se connaître, si bien que la lycéenne a proposé à sa nouvelle amie de se rendre à une convention spécialisée !
Entre la foule et la profusion de stands, la journée promet d’être éprouvante… mais la septuagénaire est bien décidée à voir de quoi il retourne ! Est-ce qu’Urara parviendra à remplir sa mission de guide, elle qui n’était encore jamais allée à ce genre d’événement ?

The people's faces when the old woman is buying BL doujinshi are just like what my grandmother used to get for some of her book choices. This continues to be a delight.

Because there will soon be a film adaptation of this manga, I decided to catch up. I read the volume a few months ago and really enjoyed it, but I decided to put the series on hold for some reason. So I believe now is the best time for me to continue.

Unlikely friends Urara, a shy high schooler, and Ichinoi, a widowed calligraphy teacher, bonded over their love of a BL manga series. Now they're heading to a doujinshi event to try and meet their favorite author. This brought me right back to my early days of visiting cons and meeting authors for the first time!

A heartwarming manga with the stories of Urara and Ichinoi. I loved the characters and storyline. The story is simple yet friendly. I didn't fancy BL, but I made an exception for this manga 😅 Furthermore, the story is not centered on the BL part so much.

Una historia atípica y entrañable que transmite mensajes muy importantes. Entre otros, el valor de la amistad sin importar la edad o el de no ser nunca demasiado tarde para descubrir algo que te apasione.

Habitualmente no leo manga pero esta serie me gusta mucho. El ritmo es un poco más pausado respecto al primer volumen, pero mantiene toda su esencia. Los personajes son muy carismáticos y solo puedo pensar en leer el tercero tras ese final.

I LOVE THESE VOLUMES SO MUCH!!! THEY GO BY TOO FAST!!!

This series continues to be incredibly sweet, and I love the friendship our two characters have. It is seriously just such a great representation of female friendship. They bond over a shared interest, and are getting to know one another better. Their ages don't matter, because they just love boys love manga.

I also love the snippets of that manga that they bond over. I would TOTALLY read that series too!!

The concept of a schoolgirl and a senior citizen bonding over boys love manga is cute, but it is also a bit thin, so the author quickly introduces a bunch of new characters and inflates the role of the supporting cast to amp up the soap opera elements that will allow this to stretch out for three more volumes. So far, it's working well enough, but I'm worried they are watering down a story that might have been more effective at half the length.

Another excellent volume that had me laughing out loud! I really wondered if they might start drawing doujinshi... Cool to see the story actually take that route. it would be so neat if Grannie Yuki gets in on the doujinshi action somehow with her calligraphy! I love these two characters so much. And I love how the story is so focused on women; men exist but they're not integral to the plot.

I love how Ichinoi doesn't care what people may think of her and just barges bravely into the bl world... And the way she was devastated when she realised how rarely the volmes come out and was just like "sigh, seems i'll have to survive another ten years so i can finish the series" - she is truly an inspiration to all of us 😬💖

Another sweet, wholesome volume! I really do love the friendship between Ichinoi and Urara, it's great to read a manga series that shows that young people can bond with people significantly older than them even if they aren't blood related. And Ichinoi is such a fun, adorable old lady, I wish she was real so I could be friends with her! I also felt for Urara and her situation at school; it can be hard passionately loving something that you know your classmates aren't into and it can be lonely not having anyone to share that passion with. I'm just glad she has Ichinoi now to share that passion with!

That's about all I want to say, but this was another great volume! It's a shame this series is so short, but I'm definitely invested enough to read through the rest.

just as cute as the first one


this is technically a **SPOILER** so pls beware

i really liked that when tsumugu found urara's bl collection and looked through it, he didn't act disgusted or anything like that. he just seemed kinda endeared by the fact that urara reads that in her spare time and its her way of letting her guard down, and i find that so beautiful??? and then he just put it back in the hidden box and pretended he didn't see anything so as not to embarrass her. best boi.

it wasn't as good as the first volume, but it has the same essence. i like how their worlds are a little bit different, and yet they get together to share time and talk about things they are passionate about.
i don't think it had the same impact as the first one, but it is still worth reading. really comfy read.

Une très bonne suite avec ce 2e tome à l'ambiance toujours aussi feel-good !
On retrouve nos personnages qui aiment leur série de mangas et apprennent à mieux se connaître via cette passion, ainsi qu'à appréhender leurs tracas du quotidien.

Not as strong as Vol. 1, but still lovely. While the story is always going to be more character-driven than plot heavy, there's just not much going on in these chapters. That said, Tsurutani has been dropping hints to an arc with Urara and I'm pretty excited to see where that goes.
