Daniel Hunt and the group of survivors around him he calls family, have a new battle to face. Two of the three ancient Relics have been found and everyone wants them.
The book opens portals to other dimensions. The cup grants eternal life and has been safeguarded by a fraternal order of knights, until now.
Daniel has no desire to use the cup for his own purposes. However, if it gets into the wrong hands, it could mean the end of the galaxy as we know it.
I'm Jonathan, a husband, father, and writer. I write because that's what I was born to do and I love doing it. Because of the support from awesome people like you, I get to do it full-time.
“Spiritus non possunt occidere nostri. Can’t kill our spirit.” I had such a fun time with Wolves; the dry humour and some scenes are hilarious and fun to read, mixed with tension filled moments, a heady mix. There are characters in here that I recognize, characters I wondered about. And here begins an explanation of where they went, where they are, where they came from, and where they’re going. A story of hope, of courage, but especially a shift of perception. Yep, my favorite kind! A story that not only entertain you but also provides you some insights into the nature of people while inspiring you and giving you hope for the future. Intriguing scenarios and full of unexpected twists that turned my stomach with nervous tension. Edge of seat battle scenes, fast paced and chilling action full storyline. Can’t wait to read Crusade #9!
Once again you surpassed yourself with another great storyline BUT shock horror what a way to finish lol left hanging now have to wait for book 9 Crusade to come out pmsl
The fantastic series continues. Daniel gets a hold of the missing two relics and finds a new powerful ally. But he's also betrayed by a former one. There simply isn't time for him to just rest on Dragon Hold for even a little. Now it's waiting for the next one.
I'm still trying to figure out the "one is blood" thing, but I'm glad Cryx is fighting at Daniels side, sad that one important member was lost, totally intrigued by what the "prison gate" may have released...here there be gargoyles, perhaps? That would be sweet! Who knows...glad certain " blankity blanks" got what they deserved! It's about time, still don't trust the GG's motives, but they did hold up their end of the bargain. Hoping X and Al can remove Cassies *failsafe* and very curious to see who the clones are...I have my guess, but the way it's going it could be one of two " bad guys"...
The A Forsaken Mercenary series by Jonathan Yanez reaches Book 8, with Wolves. Daniel Hunt and his team venture into a clever variation on a theme of the Arthurian legend of the quest for the Holy Grail, combined with a flavour of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Familiar legends of the Grail conferring eternal life and being guarded by the Knights Templar through the ages, form the foundation of the storyline, as evil entities seek either total control &/or the destruction of the galaxy.
How will things progress, now that three Relics have been found? To find out the riveting truth, get Jonathan Yanez's Wolves today!
Daniel and his group have found two of the three ancient relics and they need to find the third. Cassie has been kidnapped and X has had an upgrade for lack of better words. But they face a new foe in their quest, can they defeat this one too? This book is so full of action and awesome characters, it is just unputdownable. The authors writing will suck you in and the narrator will have you feeling as though you are there with the team. It is wonderful even though I started with this book now I will need to go back and see about getting the others.
Very very good book oh, I've been reading this series since the beginning and it only gets better. Can't wait to see you how they take the last scene in the book what the order is really up to and explain it. The writing as always drags you in, and you don't want to put it down until you're done!!
Great action. Great storyline. Great characters! What more could you want!? Good vs evil. Doesn’t get any better! But... it does! Author Chaney knows how to keep our interest and fresh, action packed storyline pulling us in. I love it!
Yet another enjoyable read as we work through the relic hunts and deal with further alien issues. There seems to be a vast potential in what our characters have to face now and in the future.
They just get deeper and deeper in trouble in the most hideous circumstances that you can imagine still come out ahead sometimes lose love ones and friends but always striving to do the best.
Wolves and The Order both want Cassie. Who will win and overcome this stalemate? More trouble is brewing with an unknown force. Book nine has many answers. Off I go to the next adventure.
If you're looking at this book, then you've likely already read the ones before it and you already know it's good. Quit reading reviews and get to reading the book already!
Cassie has been betrayed by someone who she trusted and that can't feel good. What is done with the Voy is insane and quite morbid. Meanwhile, X gets a BIG surprise upgrade which is cool and sad at the same time. How Daniel and X will cope remains to be seen. The fight between Atilla and Daniel was well worth waiting for!
I'm ready for the next ride in this awesome adventure!
