Welcome to Divine Place, because sometimes a fresh start requires a little divine intervention.
Life has handed lemons to Eloise Worthington, so she does what she's always done--made herself a margarita. When a villager is discovered dead on the Gods Complex golf course, Eloise wipes off her tanning oil and sets her marshal hat at a jaunty angle, determined to solve the crime and earn enough brownie points to make it through the pearly gates. During the investigation, she tries her best to ignore her growing attraction to Cole, son of Zeus and her self-proclaimed deputy. Her romantic relationships in the mortal realm always ended badly and Eloise is smart enough to recognize that as long as she's stuck here, she's better off leaving the heat in her life to hot flashes. When the killer makes it clear they're one step ahead of Eloise, she realizes that she needs to up her game in order to outwit a supernatural foe. Who knew trying to do good could feel so bad?
Has the killer met their match or will Eloise find herself on the fairway to Hell?

Graves and Golf Carts is book 3 in the FANTASTIC Divine Place Supernatural Series. I absolutely love Eloise. This story is a great one !!!! There were some great plot twists I didn't see coming. A resident is found dead in the golf course and Eloise and Cole are on the case. I LOVE the interactions of these two characters. All the characters are well developed and fun!
I can't wait for the next book in this amazing series!!!
.. Helen-Mary's dead body is found by Mitzi in the lake on the golf course. An iron club has been rammed through her heart. So Eloise has a new case with plenty of suspects as Helen-Mary had her own potion making business selling through True Brew..
As Eloise works her way round the suspects she's also trying to settle in and get over her feelings about Cole. When she goes on a date with a merman things definitely hot up but not in the way anyone except Eloise would expect!
Just as the couple settle into a new normal it appears that someone has reported Eloise to upper middle management and her future suddenly looks like it's going to be at Last Resort alone. She still has a job to do though and for the first time in her life she is determined to see it through.
I left a similar review for another of Ms. Case's books recently. I love all of her books but this series isn't my favorite. However, I really enjoyed this one and look forward to the next! A good author makes every book worth reading!
Entertaining quirky and hilarious supernatural cozy mystery series
Entertaining quirky and hilarious supernatural cozy mystery series. And eclectic cast of characters with a very entertaining storyline. Eloise is a human that lived in chipping cheddar a little East Coast town that had supernaturals in humans like living in it. The story based in that town her character was killed. Lo and behold she arrives in purgatory. Unfortunately or possibly fortunately she arrives in the wrong purgatory. She arrives in purgatory intended for supernatural’s. Where she is the only human there. The president of the homeowners association in divine place is the goddess Hera. She makes Eloise the Newtown Marshal and appoints her to solve any issues and crimes in the small town follow along as she and her deputy and other friends and cohorts solve crimes and alliteration‘s of the locals. Everyone there is already dead so they cannot technically die. They can ascend or descend or be obliterated. Ascend means go onto the upper plains descend means go down to the lower planes. Obliteration means wiped out of existence in other words death for the dead. Entertaining and an extraordinary read. Funny at times quirky at times and definitely entertaining all the time.
I am absolutely loving this series. Eloise is fabulous and so funny. I love her witty remarks to any person she encounters. Her relationship with Jules is so funny and lovely. I am curious to why Jules is in the Divine Place. In this book a dead body is discovered in the pond at the golf course. Eloise has the job of discovering who committed this horrid crime. In this race towards finding the culprit, Eloise has to deal with the very real possibility of being thrown out of Divine Place when the higher ups are informed of the irregularity of Eloise presence at the supernatural afterlife. Eloise and Cole relationships takes a turn for the better and things start to look up. Will Eloise leave Divine Place and if so what will happen between her and Cole? How will she leave all the friends she has made during her time there? Lovely book and eager to read more.
Please please keep writing the series I've really enjoyed the 3 books I started book 1 couple times over past year and stopped in someplace about 5 or 6 pages in while Eloise was still in her hotdog costume on Wednesday I realised it was same book of borrowed 5 times now off KU and have it a go and omg Stanton glad I did yes I solved the cases before Eloise like I always do when reading cozy mystery books but I want more of this series please Annabel Chase
This is the third book in the Divine Place series and it's a Corker. I laughed out loud at the antics of the Gods, demigods and other supernaturals. Although I love Eloise my favourite character is Jules to vampire with a heart, sort of. And I so want a cruelty catsuit but not a humanity hat. Brilliant, clever writing.
Eloise is back taking care of business with a third mystery. There is also progress on the overarching mystery of how and why Eloise ended up in Divine Place at the beginning of the series. It was also great to see progress on both a key relationship and on Eloise's place within this supernatural society. Fun read!
What a great story! I was in the middle of another book and changed over when u realized a new book in this series, was available. One of my absolute favorite series. Can't wait for the next one.
This series gets better and better. We learn more about the characters and Eloise learns more too, including about herself. The threat to Eloise's continued existence in the Divine Place is real and prompts a heartwarming ending to this volume.
This series has grown on me. Eloise is the outspoken human we all want to be in a place that we struggle to understand, the afterlife. Let's hope I land in such a fun spot after I pass from this world.
Graves and Golf Carts was the best book so far in the Divine place series. Great mystery, fabulous cast of characters, a wonderful romance!!!! Looking forward to the next book in the series!! 3 Cheers for Annabel Chase!!
I absolutely love the characters and storylines in this new series. Definitely worth reading and is funny so entertaining. Don't miss out, read the series.
Eloise isn’t supernatural but she is pretty super herself! Continue in the afterlife filled with hot DemiGods and sassy vampires, can she figure out the killer before it’s too late? Loved this one and is really growing on me!
Sleep. I had a long day and started the last few chapters before bed. My bedtime passed and now it is much later. Needed to get to the end...yawn. Goodnight.
This series has grown on me. The MC went from simply annoying to a reasonably sympathetic character. The circle of pals she's acquired are actually more appealing than she, but it all works well enough.
I enjoyed reading about a strong leading lady for a change. Better to have to be taken down a notch than a weak woman who needs a man before finding her self worth.
I loved the 3 books so much that I read them back to back to back! After reading the Percy Jackson series I wasn't sure what to expect. Drama, laughter, tears, humans, demi gods and a cat. What a great imagination Ms. Chase ha! I'll be checking out her other books.
Another great book by Ms. Chase. It is laugh out loud funny and the ending was great. Eloise is quickly becoming one of my favorite characters. Can’t wait for the next book!
