The final book in the Soldiers of Earthrise - a graceful and peaceful ending? Not!!
As with all of the Earthrise stories, We Are Earthlings is painfully etched in the dark recesses of my mind. Right next to the brilliantly glowing love for the characters - Jon, Kaelyn, Paul and George, Maria, Lily, even Charlie (Dalisay Cortez), Rodrigo and Jay Jay. They join the remarkable cast of Earthrise and Children of Earthrise in bringing to life the unspoken terrors that war kindles into blazing fear. The memories that haunt the dark nights turning experience into nightmares, a looming, overbearing shadow that digs pits in memories, filling with black, unknown shades. Long nights filled with horrors imagined and remembered.
Yet amongst remembered trauma are the nuggets of gold floating amidst the tar of pain. Stolen moments among brothers and comrades. These memories make life bearable when bullets fly overhead.
The characters are larger than life, sharing their love and hate, bravery and fear, resolve and panic. Each character is carefully crafted to elicit emotional bonding, whether they are hero or villain, friend or foe. The action is nonstop, drawing us deeper and deeper into the story.
We Are Earthlings brought all the series together in a graceful ending, tearing the bandages off and showing the healing beginning on some gruesome wounds. This series has been outstanding and I hate to see it come to an end.

Ending with whimper not a bang.
I was very disappointed with the author and this series of books. I found the first three quite interesting but the fourth was a disappointment. The last book showed no original imagination. I felt it was put together with Hollywood movies from Star Wars to the Wizard of OZ. Throw some Disney and throw some Disney in the mix and you have garbage. I liked the first Earthrise series, but, I felt I just wasted my time with edition. I was hoping that after the last book that would a good one. But instead of ending with a bang it was a whimper.

We are Earthlings
This was a goog series of books. Different from your other stories. No aliens to kill and I have to admit that there was a few moments when I thought that human killing human was a little depressing. Seems like war going on today, only on another Galaxy. Was not quite the ending that I anticipated but it all worked out in the end

I’m so mad at you Daniel! I love this series but you made me give it a three rather than the 4.5 it deserves! Errors in plot line usually mean I don’t even review a book but I love Maria, Lily and Jon.

Amazing series
I've really enjoyed this series and it's one I will definitely be reading again. The story line grips you and pulls you along on all the twists and turns. This series is a must read!!!!

The author redeemed himself with this last of the series. The story was beautiful. The action solid. The prose often soared. The ending was deeply satisfying.
Failed the fifth star, though, due to terrible editing. Words transposed or missing. A few spelling errors. Stuff like that.

Good read and finish
There was a lot of Miss Saigon in this story which made a lot of it predictable, but overall an enjoyable read and a good end to the series!
