My name is Everly Davis, and this city is killing me. No really, it’s killing me. I can’t breathe, and my adoptive mum just passed away leaving me with nothing to tie me to this hell hole anymore. So, I’m leaving, moving to the seaside town of Scarborough.
I can finally breathe, and I know this is where I truly belong. This move was supposed to be my fresh start, and boy was it. Three amazingly good-looking men have caught my eye, but I wasn’t prepared for what they truly are. Who knew magic was real or that gods really exist? Did you?, because I didn’t.
Turns out, those are the least of my worries though. My world is about to be turned upside down. So buckle up darling, things are about to get bumpy.
I received an ARC to give my honest review of this book. SPOILER ALERT!! Let me start by saying I loved the plot of this story! Fated mates, Gods, Cupids, Earth Elementals, Selkies and telekinesis. I loved the characters and I honestly can’t wait to see what happens now that we know exactly who our main character is and what she has to face in the upcoming book. I’m also anxious to see what type of powers she will have. This is not a stand-alone, it will end on a cliffhanger. Now, in my honest review, I have to admit there is a couple of things that I wasn’t crazy about. First, when I first started reading the book Everly came off as being very shy, standoffish and riddled with anxiety. But when she moves to the new town and meets the guys she is very outgoing and flirts up a storm. The flip in personality just didn’t really fit to me. I guess maybe since these guys are her fated that she just automatically felt open with them? Could be. Secondly, I reallllllly would have like to see more bonding between the characters. This is definitely insta love. they’re fated mates so I expected to see them feel connections to each other pretty quickly but I do wish we could have had a little bit more in the relationship building department. Last, the timeline was a little confusing. There was a couple of times it seemed as if only a few days, weeks at most, had gone by, but then other comments were made that made it seem as if a few months had already gone by. A little more clarification on the timeline would be awesome. It might make their insta love a little more believable if we knew that they’d been together a few months now even if we didn’t technically read about every single day. Overall, it was a great story, a quick read, and I am excited to see what happens next. the sex scenes are H-O-T, there is M/M, and possible trigger warnings as rape/abuse is mentioned.
Everly (the MFC) has just lost her mum. Not wanting to live where she is now and having inherited a house in Scarborough years ago she decides to move there. Hoping a fresh start will be what shes needs. Not only that but shes been having a dream and she thinks this move might be significant. It definitely helps her non-existent love life when the moment she steps off of the train she bumps straight into (yes literally!) one hot man - Leyland and then stumbles upon two other ones too - Garrot & Karl. All of which funnily enough know each other and all of which have their own secrets that not willing to share with her. A book choke full of secrets & love. Flaming hell this book is a blindingly good and that ending completely threw me. Loved it!
This book was freaking amazing!! I love the characters especially Everly Davis. You will be sucked into this book real quick.
So Everly Davis has gone through some hard times and decides to make a move to Scarborough to start anew. She never imagined meeting 3 very sexy as sin men. Leyland, Karl and Garrott are some pretty amazing men. I love that once they all meet the chemistry with them is freaking sizzling hot. Like you need to put the book/kindle down to take a cold shower just to calm down to come back and finish reading. Everly and her geeky self, dang she made me laugh so hard I almost had an accident. As you read the story, a prophesy is revealed centering around Everly, as well as secrets. Everything builds to the end and leaves with you wanting more.
**reading it for the second time and it still had me laughing and my previous still remains the same. There is more to the story but you need to read it for yourself**
This book is one of the best that I have read this year. If you read this book you will not be disappointed.
Reviews on here had me pick up a copy as soon as it released. I shouldn't have thrown away my $$. This writing stinks of amateur. the character development is glossed over. the sex is cringy & rubbish. Was it even researched? Where's the feels? All the author do is say its there but she ain't describing it. It's not just lazy and slobby, it's an insult to readers. the d!cks are better described than the characters. Is this written by a horny teenager? are the reviews all from people known to the author? that would say a lot about the ratings
"Can't put a flower in an arsehole and call it a vase, right?"
Can't put pen to paper and call yourself an author, without doing some hard work.
This was a fantastic story. Omg I couldn't put it down one I started. First story I've read from this author and I freaking loved it. Hot hot hot guys and steam. Storyline was really good. Cliffhanger.... But this just makes me want the next book like now!!!! Definitely a must read.
I absolutely loved this start to the series. The characters are witty and entirely lovable. The way the author describes everything makes you feel like you are right there with the characters and going through it all with them. I have a new favourite author.
This was a great book, amazing debut, and a great new addition to my favourites. The author's writing style is engaging, her imagination is impressive, and the story she created is beautiful, funny, interesting, spicy and just fabulous. Cliffhanger haters be ware, there is a fantastic cliffhanger at the end of this book. The story starts in pretty usual way, and then it suddenly becomes very unusual after only a few pages. There are twists and turns, funny situations, very hot situations, there is grief, there are secrets, and there is sooooooooooooooooo much love. Beautiful. The author's approach to myths and legends is fresh and original, and the author's creativity is beautiful. I was immersed in the story and couldn't stop reading. The world starts out small and then expands and expands, and I have a feeling that there is so much more to explore. There is magic, and there will be more magic to come. The characters are beautifully developed and extremely lovable. The author used multiple points of view, which brings the characters closer, makes them more familiar, and makes the reader more engaged. By having each of the characters reveal their thoughts, desires, and vulnerabilities, the author achieved a deep connection between the reader and the characters. The main character is beautiful sweet Everly, who moves to Scarborough after her mother's passing. She is just looking for a new start and quiet life, and what she gets is definitely a new start but quiet life is nowhere to be seen. She is funny, sensual, loving, caring, intelligent and capable, as well as determined and strong, and did I mention so full of love. The instant attraction she has with Leyland, Garret and Karl is quite something and their chemistry is off the charts. The guys are not only superhot but incredibly sweet, lovable and a bit kinky. Their romance is beautiful and incredibly hot and steamy. The steamy stuff is so well written, I can't believe this is a debut novel. Overall, this was a fantastic book, I loved every single page of it, and I am dying to read more. The author is amazing and I hope she publishes many more books because I want to read every single one of them.
This is a pretty good book considering this is the first for the author and the start of a series. Very creative yet complex storyline that gave just enough little tid bits of information that got our minds running with possibilities. The whole story seems to revolve heavily on Greek mythology with Poseidon, Amphitrite, and Venus (which is actually Roman mythology, not sure if the author was misinformed or if there is a reason to mash Greek and Roman gods together).
The story flowed well for the most part, however there were times where it jumped rather suddenly. My main complaint with this book is the overuse of italics which denoted internal dialogue... which seemed to be fairly common among all 4 characters. I am almost certain I saw it on every page. While I understand the idea of putting emphasis on internal musings, not every single one needed to italicized. If it would have been limited to just 1 character, then I think I would have received it better than I did. That also would have helped differentiate the personalities between the characters even more.
This book definitely has the insta-love in it so if that is something that irks you to read, please keep that in mind when reading this book. This book also mentions domestic violence, emotional abuse, and rape but the scenarios have happened in the past and isn’t played out in detail, just briefly mentioned. If that is something that is a big trigger for you then you may want to skip this book or at least be prepared.
The steam is definitely hot in this book with a fast burn. The little bit of MM was pretty hot too so I am hoping to see more of that in upcoming books. Overall, this was a good book for being the author’s debut. It could use a little fine tuning and tweaking but it’s still has a good and intriguing story and plot.
Let me start this by saying - I'm not a big fan of first person or present tense when it's done in books. Amelia Oliver pulls it off. This book is a reverse harem romance incorporating myths and alpha type guys and a woman strong enough to take them all. The main female character moves to a seaside city after a bad relationship and the death of her adoptive mom. There she bumps into a man at the train station who she drools over. Then she flirts with the guy at the DIY store who is going to be her co-worker. Leyland, Garrot, and Karl fall hard for Everly a seemingly average human. Without giving too much away - there's more to Everly than meets the eye. Oliver has created an engaging storyline, filled it with sexy men and a strong woman. Her characters come to life on the page. I did not want to put this down. The sex scenes are steamy. A UK author, I found the differences from typical American slang to UK slang charming and added to the story. Oliver includes humor, sassiness, sexiness and a solid plot. An excellent way to escape.
This was an amazing book! Thank you Amelia Oliver for letting me enter such a funny and sex world that is Everly Davis!
So usually I am more of a fan of shifter fantasy’s but this was great. All three guys are different but you can see how they complement each other and really work together! I love all the guys but I have to say I am always partial to the "asshole" ones so Karl is my favorite! Don't get me wrong he is in no way an asshole but I think you know what I mean. Everly is great, shes cute, funny, innocent, not innocent, and sexy all at the same time. I love how she wasn't perfect and the body image was talked about and you could see they beauty in the not conventional figure. She is amazing.
Her brother is also hilarious and I can't wait to learn more about him.
Can't wait for the next book!!! Something in the last chapter talked about a 4th guy..... Or did I read that wrong? Dying of curiosity! So excited to see what happens next!
I typically don't read fantasy books, but I was immediately drawn to this one! The main character Everly is such a unique woman compared to most heroine's. She's sassy and lustful, and defies the typical beauty standards portrayed in most books. I love that she promoted a positive body image to the readers. It's empowering to see a woman who takes what she wants and doesn't let anyone tell her no.
I loved seeing all the different perspectives within the book. This offered a nice insight into each of the characters that helped me to feel more connected to each of them. There is plenty of suspense within this story that has you wondering where it could possibly go after such an explosive beginning.
Although I have a love hate relationship with cliff hanger endings, it left me wanting to know more about this world filled with gorgeous cupids and mysterious prophecies. Overall this story was sexy, imaginative, and hilarious! I already can't wait for the sequel!
Enter the world of Ever... Ever thinks she's just an average girl but is she?? I think it needs to be noted that this book is HOT!!! There are some seriously steamy parts to this book from early on and her men Wow! The relationship dynamic is amazing too and these men all love each other as well as the FMC which is very clear from early on. They all want to protect her and care for her but make no mistake this FMC can protect herself just fine. I love that she took things in her stride. She doesn't complain and whine despite the things going on around her. The storyline is an original idea too so fans of the RH genre won't feel like they're re-reading the same tired story (that's a massive plus if you read as much as me) I can't wait to see where Ever's adventures take her next and how her relationships with her men develop. Highly recommended.
I thought I couldn’t love this book more. I rated it 5 stars. Then Amelia K Oliver revamped it. Fixed some things she thought needed fixing and what not. (If you read the first one, you’ll see, if not, well read this darn book!) I love it even more! These characters are everything to me #teamKarl. The story is unique, Everly’s harem is dynamic. If I could I’d rate it a 10!! Did I mention #teamKarl?
The story is about an emotionally & physically abused FMC with average looks but loving, caring, funny and a bit sassy... After losing her mum to death, she decides to move to Scarborough where her mum left her a house and some funds... The insta-love, attraction and connection between her and the guys who are hot as sin, are palpable... Amelia’s plot with an admixture of fantasy, mythology and prophesies taking over each other intermittently and the twist of mystery and suspense; are awe-inspiring... well innovated cliffhanger..
I read an ARC copy of the revamped version of this book. It had me on the edge of my seat for more than one reason. WOW. Yes, I know lots of steamy scenes but damn it was soo good. And the storyline is really a great premise. I love it when an author plays with our favorite mythological pantheons. It was Awesome and had me going from the word go. Way to go! I cannot wait to read the next one now as well. The thing I liked most about this is the very well defined characters. She introduces us and we get to know these lovely people. Yes there is a cliff hanger but well, if you know it is part of a series a cliff hanger really is not all that much of a suprise, is it? I really LOVE THIS AUTHOR!
I absolutely loved the story I couldn’t put the book down and the three male characters are to died for they all have very different personality and they all bring something different to the blossoming relationship with Ever. We meet Ever as she is starting a new life in Scarborough after her mum has passed away. Were she meets the three guys and is attractive to the three men who just happen to be friends. As Ever settles into here new life in Scarborough thing are about to change for her when she finds out that she is not just a normal human. I really enjoyed reading this book and can’t wait for the second book to come out to find out what happens to Ever and her mates. I just loved the storyline and the characters in this book and the author Amelia a big thumbs up for a great book
I normally like books by Amelia but this one was hard for me to finish. The storyline was a little too fast paced for me. Some of the descriptions she used were a hard no for me. This book was well written other then the fast pace. I like my stories a little more drawn out and not this insta connection. The cliffhanger makes you wonder where the story will go. Other then those issues I would have given it more stars.
This book is crazy and so awesome. Ever has had some bad shit happen to her in the past but she moves on . New town and new her she meets three handsome men that help change her life for the better. That ending was crazy and I absolutely need more .

Never Ever is Amelia Oliver's debut into the romance genre and writing world. Her story is about a young woman named Everly, who is happy to leave her city life behind after her mom passes away. Luckily, her mom has left her a home in a sea side town called Scarborough, and a reasonably sized nest egg, so she will be able to be somewhat comfortable as she begins her new life in this new town. Having already set up a job in town, all Everly has to focus on is making this new area her home, and giving the house a few upgrades..or so she thought. Soon after arriving she comes to meet 3 men that she feels a strangely innate connection to, and they are there with her throughout the rest of the journey that this book will take you on. Because I want to leave this review as spoiler free as possible, I am going to end my description here by saying that Everly soon realizes that nothing is as it seems, and the 3 men she becomes close to, are included in this realization. &This book comes to an end on a cliffhanger that will have readers patiently waiting to find out answers to any leftover questions and surprises from book 1.
I have to say, for Amelia's 1st book, this was a really great debut. I enjoyed the characters, and she definitely carried a solid story line. Her cliffhanger was surprising, interesting, and will keep many of her readers happy to come back once book two has been released! I enjoyed the book. In my opinion, there were a few things that I would've went in a different direction with, but just because its my opinion doesn't mean others will feel the same way.
I hope that others will give this book and Amelia a chance, because they definitely deserve it. Congratulations on you new book Amelia! wish you nothing but the best on your entrance into the writing world!
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
It's the second book ive read of Amelia K Oliver. The first book was Krampus the curse. This will be my second book. I want to read this whole serie. I found it a slow burner book. That will pick up the pace after a few chapters at least in my opion. I could see everything and feel everything Everly felt during the hole book. So for me it has great worldbuilding, lovely Charcters, easy to read and at some point a little romantic minus the trigger warnings! But i want more after this book! and i defently want to read book 2&3.

This was a really cute read. This book is about Everly who get more than she bargined for when she moves from to a small town where her mom owned a home. This comes in the form of 3 very hot guys.
This book was instalove on the guys parts, Everly has a instant connect with the guys as well but second guesses it because of how fast it happens.
I really enjoyed the storyline. I loved the way that Garrot and Leyland were very comfortable with each other. There were also plenty of steamy scenes between the characters. Even though I enjoy insta-love. This one was a tad too much love for me. It kinda seemed like everything was based on love. So it became a tad repetitive.
The ending was so good, it leaves alot of questions for book 2. I'm interested to see what going to happen with these characters.
MUST READ! INCREDIBLE BOOK FULL OF STEAMY SCENES AND GODS,
Absolutely loved this book! It brings you in from the first chapter and your soon hooked and unable to set it down! Everly is everything I've wanted to read about in a FMC and the only one I've read yet in RH, shes hot, curvy, sassy and an all around badass! From early on in the book she meets her men ( all extremely sexy) who all adore her and would do anything to protect her......and then we have the steamy scenes 🥵 i honestly couldnt get enough of them! I love that the scenes are different from others I've read which can be a little repetitive, there is am amazing storyline leaving you chomping for more, with loads of sexy scenes! Cant wait for book 2 😍😍
I do want to say first that congrats on your first book! There was a lot a like about this story. However, there were things I personally didn’t enjoy. It’s not to say that other will not. First i really love the heroine she was sassy and funny and her reaction to finding out what they are was by far my favorite. I also like the the lore and the concept and story. I do read a lot insta-love books so that was also fine. For me the guys seemed to blur together in a lot of ways. They seemed a little too soft? For my taste. I don’t want to put any spoilers but their certain things that happen that i thought was a bit silly or liked to pan out differently. However i do recommend others to take a read. I’ll continue to read the next book!
Never Ever by Amelia Oliver is hot awesomeness! Never Ever moves at a fast pace, is very funny in parts and surprisingly detailed. Everly is a sweet but self assured MC and I found her endearing and her relationships with Leyland, Garrot and Karl develop individually at different paces and also as a group naturally. If you like your RH level of hawt as damn spicy, then you are going to certainly enjoy Never Ever! The humour and wit keeps you entertained, the world is vivid and detailed and the story line flows nicely finished off perfectly with a cliffhanger, leaving readers begging for Book 2. I’m a fan for sure!
Amelia is seriously one of my favorite authors ever !!! Absolutely love the way she writes and the character development within the story. Everly is an amazing FMC... after her mom passes away she moves to a little Seaside town called Scarborough... and things start changing in her life quickly... sometimes it's hard for me to actually believe some of these stories just because they're so fiction that is not the case with this book it is told from multiple point of views so not only do you really get the feel for all the characters but it makes the story so much more believable!!! Can't wait for the second one
I really wanted to love it but I just didn’t. It was ok. I found some of the relationship build, character development and storyline being swallowed by unnecessary sex scenes. Now let me clarify, I love lots of heat, but this felt a bit over the top, and not all that hot. Some was, but some was just like going through the motions. The story picks up at the end and finishes on a great cliffhanger. I hope book 2 digs a bit deeper in the depth department. It just needed more story depth I think. Sorry.
