So this was a cutesy little story. It probably would have made for a better winter read with all of the snow, but I read it in the dead of summer craving some cold weather.

When Katie needs a lift home for the holidays, she accepts the help of a friend of a friend - someone she's never met. The road is awkward at first, but over the long drive Katie and Alex start to warm up to each other. As the weather gets worse, they open up more and more to each other and Katie starts to think that maybe this trip wasn't the worst idea in the world. Then the unthinkable happens and the two are stranded in the middle of a snowstorm.

Like I said, it was a very cutesy. Stanton had a very short amount of time to build a relationship between the tow and I thought she did a good job. The idea of being stranded with only each other for company really forced them to communicate and brought them closer to each other in a believable way. While parts were a little over the top - which it's romance, so it's to be expected - this gave me a nice look into Stanton's writing style and I'd be interested in reading more from her.

That was the perfect book to bring me out of my book funk.

This story was cute, funny in parts, quick & fun to read.
It definitely put a smile on my face. It also made me want to drink hot chocolate by a warm fire with some Christmas music playing. I wouldn't mind snuggling up to Alex and throwing in a few kisses. ;)

Favorite Parts
1. Alex & Katie's dialogue when he first meets her and their dialogue when he picks her up at the mom's bf's cabin at the end.
2. The witty comments made
3. The words Katie comes up with for Scrabble
4. All the kissing parts
5. The wine/fire/dinner/Christmas Music scene
6. Katie & Alex giving each other a gift
7. How they both feel about Katie's red scarf through out the book
8. Their first date- Alex was sweet to remember
9. The comment about the pancakes - lol

I thought this was an adorable love story set at Christmas time. Alex and Katie were great together. I thought the way they handled their situation of being snowed in was well executed. I was glad to see that through their friendship they realized what they really wanted in life and stood up for themselves to get it. This was definitely a quick read but well worth it:)

Full Review on The Candid Cover

Snowed Over by Angie Stanton is a book about finding love while stranded in a snowstorm. I enjoyed the warm feelings this concept provides, and both the main characters are enjoyable. This is a quick and fun read that is perfect for the holidays.

This book tells the story of a girl who is on her way home for Christmas and catches a ride with a friend of a friend whom she has never met. However, the trip quickly goes wrong when the two end up stranded during a blizzard. This story is filled with cosy vibes, especially in the cabin setting, and I enjoyed reading about how Alex and Katie slowly fall for each other while they are trying to stay warm in the storm. Honestly, the book is quite unrealistic, but this is something I am willing to overlook since it is a short and sweet holiday read.

❀ ENJOYABLE CHARACTERS

I enjoyed both Alex and Katie’s characters, and their dialogue is so much fun to read. I especially sympathized with Katie since it is her first Christmas after her parents’ divorce, and she is a kind and rational main character. Alex is also interesting to read, but there is one thing about him that I am still not quite sure how I feel. He is engaged but planning on cancelling the wedding, and he still falls in love with Katie. The fact that he has not yet broken up with his fiancée before going for Katie even though he intends to makes him kind of a cheater, which I didn’t love. But other than that, I found Alex to be sweet, and I enjoyed reading about his connection with Katie.

❀ CUTE HOLIDAY READ

Snowed Over is a cute holiday read about being stuck in a snowstorm. I enjoyed the cute and cosy concept as well as the main characters. I would recommend this one as something short to read on a winter day.

Snowed Over was such a cute, little, perfect novella for holidays. I didn't expect it to be that diverse and wholesome by having additional family problems and resolutions to the already present romance. I loved that it was much more than 2 people being stranded on Christmas and falling in love. Though it was exactly that, but with a bit more spice and drama. Snowed Over is indeed of the of best novella's I've ever read, it had a full book experience in just few pages.

Told from dual perspective, Snowed Over follows Katie and Alex's journey back home for Christmas and like any of us expected, it doesn't go smoothly. Some bad weather, freak accident and no help results in them being stranded in a cabin for a few days with no electricity and no connection with the outside world. Oh boy, this is a recipe for a great romance and I loved every second of it! Not only were Katie and Alex undeniably attracted to each other, I loved that there were some boyfriend/girlfriend issues that kept in check, atleast for a while. This story seemed like a very simple and sweet romance from afar, but the drama in it added the extra oomph it needed to take this book to the higher level. I commend Angie Stanton for writing this novella so brilliantly and giving us what we wanted (the romance!) yet keeping the other issues open for our imagination.

Snowed Over is The Novella everyone should read this Christmas! It's fast, addicting and definitely leaves a mark by the end. I haven't read anything else by the author, but you bet I'm going to do that next!

Super cute, fun, holiday read. A carpooling trip home for two college students ends up being a few days stuck in a snowy cabin. Bad roads and a deer in the road can do that.

Katie and Alex have such likability that when they begin to share their stories and get to know each other you literally root for them to end up as couple.

It’s more a story of two people figuring out who they are and what they want. Realizing that life changes, and things don’t always stay the same. It’s part of growing up.

Need a short escape during the holiday season that won’t distract from the holiday to-do lists? This is it.

College age holiday romance novella. Short, sweet and lots of snow. Add a bit of chaos in the midst of a road trip home for the holidays. Cute and short with all the wonders of the season!

Scrolling through my kindle, I came across Snowed Over which I have had for a while and lately the author has been on my mind, so I decided it was time to finally read it. I am glad I did as I did already have an inkling, I would enjoy this story as I am a fan of this author's works. This Christmas, Katie isn't looking forward to it as she loves her family traditions but this is the first Christmas where her parents are getting divorced. Her dad is with his new family and her Mum is spending Christmas with Tom - her "not-boyfriend". Being short- notice, Katie gets a ride with a friend of a friend Alex. He is headed home to not only break up with his fiancée but also spend Christmas with his family and has offered to give Katie a ride. The two start their travels but are soon derailed as their plans go awry as a massive snowstorm has hit and then their truck lands in a river. Now the pair must find someone safe to camp out during the storm as they are stuck in the middle of nowhere. During this time, we also see sparks starting to sizzle and of course, readers can see this couple are meant to be together but of course, Katie isn't a cheater and so Alex must finally grow some balls and dump Trina before he can get his HEA. One of the main things I loved about this book was you had the insta friends and you could feel the genuineness of the characters and the potential romance yet it also was a very clean read which was nice to read for a change. If you love Christmas reads and looking for a new author to discover, then check out Angie Stanton today with her book "Snowed Over".

I liked the premise, but the book didn’t quite deliver. For one, I didn’t like Alex all that much. He was spineless.

For another, I don’t like books about cheating, and I consider it cheating if the person WANTS to break up but it hasn’t happened yet, which was the case with this book. Technically, he and Trina were still together. He told her he wanted to break up, but she thought it was a rough patch and things would be better once they saw each other in person.

And Trina. I don’t like it when books make the current gf a total snot to justify why the guy wouldn’t be interested in her anymore. It feels like an excuse, like, well, he cheated on her, but she’s an awful person so it’s okay. Trina was just over the top selfish and self absorbed and rude and snotty.

Katie was okay. I felt bad for her, especially since her mother refused to talk about the separation and divorce. I could understand her being angry with her mother.

I really like books about people who are snowed in together, and I liked how Alex and Katie made the best of their situation and still had some Christmas spirit.

5 "BEST CHRISTMAS NOVELLA" STAR THOUGHTS

This is one of the best romantic novella's I have ever read! I am so glad I got the chance to read this! I love curling up on the couch and reading a sweet novella! Alex and Katie are adorable together! I loved reading the story from both of their POV's. And FYI if I'm ever snowed in, I want to be with Alex!

The last thing Katie Brandt wants to do is go home for the holidays. Now that her parents are separated, every tradition she's ever known is changing. So going up North to spend time with her mom and Tom, the not-boyfriend, is not very exciting. She gets a ride from a friend of her room mate and just knows this is going to be the worst trip ever, especially when he shows up late!

"He said two o'clock, and it was twenty minutes after. If there was one thing she hated, it was not keeping your word."

Alex Walker is dreading going home for Christmas. He can't wait to see his family, but he knows some decisions and conversations need to happen with his fiancé that he would rather avoid. But it has to be done. (I hate Trina, his fiancé! I wanted to smack her so bad!) So when he is asked to give a friend of a friend a ride, he agrees. What he didn't expect was for her to be so beautiful, but she definitely distracts him from his problems!

When bad weather takes a turn for the worst and a freak accident leaves them stranded in a cabin with no electricity and no cell service, Katie and Alex have to find away to stay warm and avoid their undeniable attraction to each other. Katie knows Alex is off limits because he is engaged but the longer they are stranded the harder it is to avoid.

"Katie paced the cabin, pissed at Alex for making her feel so stupid. He was engaged and had no business kissing her. One gaze deep into his eyes and she fell hook, line, and sinker. She was such an idiot. And how dare he kiss her like that when he was marrying another girl."

Alex wants her BAD, and the sexual tension between these two is intense! He has to make her understand that things in his life aren't exactly how they seem. Could this turn out to be the best Christmas ever, or even worse than they both planned for?

"If you don't mind, I'm going to kiss you again."

Snowed Over is sweet and romantic but also has a great storyline. The drama that was added all made a great story even better! I loved the characters and the only thing I would change is that I wanted MORE! This is amazingly written and I will definitely be reading more of Angie Stanton's book soon! If you love a quick & romantic read, then this is the book for you!

I'd probably give this 3.5 stars. Definitely a cute winter read.

I actually loved that it was set in Wisconsin. (I'm from Wisconsin too! Did you know?) LOL Anyway, enough about me!

Katie Brandt isn't having the best year... her parents have separated and all their typical holiday traditions are ... well... they're in the shitter. Her mom is making her go to "middle of freaking nowhere Wisconsin" (and I know exactly where she's talking about.) for the holiday to meet "not my boyfriend Tom"

She's accepted a drive there from a friend of a friend who starts the trip by being more than 20 minutes late.

Alex Walker, said boy, is a Sophomore at UW Madison and at the ripe old age of 20 is engaged to a girl back home... only he's not very happy about it.

When the ride to the middle of nowhere Wisconsin hits a snag because of a blizzard, Alex and Katie have the opportunity to really get to know each other and dispel and thoughts they might have assumed about each other.

I definitely thought this was a cute story. Perfectly light and fluffy for a short holiday read. While this is listed as new adult, it's definitely on the tame side compared to some of the other NA stuff I've read, so don't dive in expecting lots of naughty!

I liked the characters that Ms. Stanton created, though Trina was a bit cliche, both Alex and Katie were nicely written. I did immediately dislike Katie's mom though. I'm sorry I couldn't help it. She was selfish and immature... while I get that her divorce has upended her life, the way she reacted and talked to Katie, her daughter and an adult in her own right was uncalled for.

So... other than a horrible mother, this book was definitely a cute winter read! Check it out for a little holiday cheer!

***** I received an ARC copy for an honest review *****

I have to say this is the first book that I get to read from this author. and I want to say THANK YOU Angie Stanton for introducing me to this amazing book and this awesome characters. cant wait to read more of your books

I just finish reading this book and I really like it, this is a really good Christmas story, this is a really cute story it has some comedy, romance, and it will warm your heart out, I love the characters love how the scene play out, and love how the characters and everything grow into place.

The story begins with student collage Katie Brandt, all Katie wanted was to go home for the holidays, but no what she got was going to the north to spend her first Christmas without her parents being together, since her parents got separated all she new about Christmas tradition just when down the hill, and she had to go to her mom " not boyfriend" house in the north, and Katie was not liking the idea.

That's when Alex Walker comes to the picture, Alex was heading the same way as Katie so he agree to give her a ride, a complete stranger that he did not know her at all, Alex was dredging to go back home just because his girlfriend but he new he had to deal with her and get it over with.

During the ride Katie and Alex started to get to know each other, and they started to notice that they where attracted to each other, I have to say that Katie and Alex when through a lot while they where trying to get home, but they end up having the best Christmas and the best time of their life.

I really love this story and I am so happy that I got to read it. I hope that once you get to read it that you get to enjoy it and love it as much as I did.

This is a really cute short novella about two people who get snowed in. It is a really enjoyable read, although I did wish it was a bit longer, because due to the short lenght there isn't much depth. Still it was enjoyable read.

This book gives exactly what i expected from the blurb. A cute romance story with the christamas period as setting. It was a really cute book and I enjoyed reading it. Although I do think it is too short, there are some things that aren't solved in this book and there isn't room for enough background. Nevertheless it is an enjoyabe story.

I find it difficult to say much about the characters, because even though I liked the story I didn't really connect with the characters. This is more about the story and the cute romance than the characters. There is some basis for interesting characters, but I think there isn't enough attention to them. We do get to know a bit about the characters and their past, but for me it just wasn't enough. I also think they felt in love a bit too fast, but well the story is too short for slow falling in love. The romance was nicely done and I think the ending was great, even though some things where left unresolved.

To conclude: a nice, cute and light romance story. The book was a bit too short and therefore there isn't that much depth to the story and characters. Nevertheless it was a nice read centered around christmas.

I read this in one sitting. Was going to read a little then go to bed, read the whole thing. fun, charming, realistic, scary and gripping at times even. I had been keeping it till Christmas eve to read, but it kept calling to me from my Kindle and I ate it up. Like a wonderful Christmas cookie of a story. romantic and fun. I hope to see more of our two main characters in the future sometime. Ms Stanton is another of the writers I have found this year whose books I just consume with satisfaction, but am always left hungry for another treat. She is on my "Must Buy" list.

This cover just jumped out at me and I knew I needed to read it. I'm totally into novellas right now and I just wanted a taste of Christmas. Not 400 pages of it. Snowed Over was exactly what I wanted. Just imagine getting snowed in a cabin over Christmas with a good looking guy and no technology. I'd love that! It had all the elements of a great novella. If you read anything this Christmas, I'd say pick up Snowed Over. It was just the right amount of everything.

This is another fluffy read, but the story itself was nice. I enjoyed the chemistry between the MC's Alex and Katie. It felt natural, not forced.

But, there were some clunky sections of writing. Also some of the behavior of the characters like Katie's mom, doesn't make sense. There wasn't enough explanation for why Katie's parents are divoricing and that makes this whole subplot awkard. Katie's mom flat out refuses to talk about the situation, which makes the scenes with her new boyfriend Tom even wierder.

Alex's fiancee Trina's character is a liar, and so self centered. While that made her super irritating, it made for nice contrast for Katie and Alex's scenes and eventual relationship.

This had the stamp of a Hallmark plot, but wasn't sickeningly sweet.

Review originally posted at Ramblings From This Chick

Angie Stanton is quickly becoming a favorite author of mine. Her stories are sweet and filled with extremely likable characters that you can't help but fall for. I really enjoy her writing style and I think that her books always have such a great flow. They really pull you in and you become extremely invested in the characters and their HEAs. Snowed Over was no exception, and I really enjoyed reading about Alex and Katie. Snowed Over is a short holiday themed novella, and is the perfect read to bring the reader some holiday cheer.

After Katie's parents decided to separate a few months back, Katie is dreading going to her mom's Not Boyfriend's house for Christmas. This is the first Christmas that she and her sister will spend without their family and normal traditions. Katie gets a ride from a friend of her roommate's brother. Things don't start off well when Alex arrives late to pick her up and they begin the trip while a storm starts heading their way. After swerving to avoid a deer, Alex's truck ends up in a river and they are left out in the cold. They quickly find a cabin to hole up in and wait out the storm. Alex and Katie work to make the best of being snowed in and an easy friendship begins. Soon they are both feeling more than friendly though, and realize that they are starting to care more for each other. But with Alex needing to convince his fiance that he really is through with her they know that they should wait to pursue anything. What happens when they are finally rescued and have to return to the real world? Can Alex and Katie take their time snowed in at a stranger's cabin and turn it into a relationship, or will there be too many things standing in their way?

I really liked Alex, despite his heinous fiance/ex-fiance Trina and the fact that he let her treat him as a doormat. I thought that he was sweet and smart and he really seemed to be an all around good guy. He took care of Katie and I loved how they started off by developing a friendship first. Alex seemed like an easy going guy and he fit perfectly with Katie. Katie was really easy to like. She was smart and funny and was able to handle herself well. I loved how she looked after Alex and tried to take care of him as best she could. I also really loved how drama free she was. She actually sat and listened when Alex explained everything going on in his life and she didn't jump to conclusions. She cared about him and was very understanding of everything. I also loved how she was always on his side and didn't react like a catty girl when she was faced with Trina. Alex and Katie were really sweet together and there was a lot of sexual tension between them. They had great chemistry and were a natural fit for each other. I found them to be so real and believable.

I really enjoyed reading this story, and I liked that it wasn't your typical holiday novella. Katie and Alex really had to make the best of their situation and I loved that they were still able to capture the spirit of the holidays with their story. Their exchanging of gifts and cooking together was really adorable and I couldn't get enough of these two. They had great banter as well, and I really loved their wit. I have to admit that I really loved how thoughtful Alex was with their first date and even if I hadn't already been swooning over him that definitely would have done it. My sole complaint with this one was the same complaint I have with most novellas, and that is the length. I'm greedy, and I wanted more Alex and Katie. I would have loved to have seen more of the two of them as they went on their first date and beyond. I always want to get a peek into the HEA, and I feel like we were just starting with Alex and Katie's. I hope that maybe someday we will get more of Alex and Katie as I would love to read more about them. Snowed Over is a great holiday story, but its also just a really great romance. It is sweet and charming and will leave you feeling the holiday spirit. I recommend this one to anyone looking for a quick Christmas story that has a great romance to go along with it.

I thought this one was okay, it could have been better. I liked the setting and plot. Katie needs a ride to meet her family for Christmas. Her roommate hooks her up with Alex, who lives by where Katie needs to go. On their way home they get caught in a blizzard and have to seek shelter in an old hunting cabin. The storm is pretty bad and they have to spend a couple nights there. The story was pretty short and focuses on the time they have to spend at the cabin.

As much as I wanted them to, I didn’t feel that much chemistry between Alex and Katie. I actually thought they were a bit immature. Alex is unhappily engaged and that plays a big role in the overall story. I think I would have liked the book more if Alex had already broken up with his girlfriend. I just thought it was too big a focus, I would have preferred if the main focus had been with Alex and Katie getting to know each other. There were too many random scenes/details that were just kind of pointless and didn’t really add to their relationship or experience. Since it was a short story I would have liked a little more depth to their conversations. Build up their chemistry more. As it was, his character didn’t really come across that great.

Katie was okay. Her home life is a bit messed up. Her parents are recently separated and both have started dating other people. Again, I think this side story was kind of pointless and dwelled on too much. And then, in the end when you think you’ll finally find out what happened between her parents her mom refuses to tell her. Pretty much saying it was none of Katie’s business. Duh. Of course it is Katie’s business, maybe not all the nitty gritty details, but she deserves to know the basics. Her mom was just a weirdo and I thought the whole storyline distracted from what could have been a cute romance between Katie and Alex.

Another drawback for me was all the profanity. I had heard there was some swearing, but wasn’t expected as much as I got. I don’t care for swearing anyway, but it really seemed unnecessary in a lighthearted chick-lit type book. I think it made them seem immature.

Overall, it was good, but I would have tweaked a few things. I did like that it takes place over Christmas and had a fun wintry feel to it.

Content:
Romance- clean.
Language- lots of profanity.

I sit here at my computer looking out my window at a massive amount of snow falling from the sky. This gives me the perfect background to write this review.
I believe that everything happens for a reason and this novella is a perfect example of that. Josh is just doing a favor for a friend of a friend. Katie is just trying to get Christmas done and over with as quickly as possible. So begins the story of two strangers meeting over a long drive. They both have things on their minds and things they are dreading. Neither of them considers this a very pleasurable trip to begin with and then Mother Nature interferes and all hell breaks loose.
A life or death situation brings Josh and Katie closer than they ever thought imaginable. They have to work together to keep themselves and each other alive until help comes. During this adventure, they get to know each other and a bad situation turns out to be not so bad after all. They let down their guards and share their vulnerability and their reservations for the trip in the first place. There is an obvious attraction that neither Josh nor Katie want to fight any longer.
Help finally comes and Josh and Katie are free to continue on with their lives and to deal with the issues that await them. Will their time together help each of them in their predicaments? What happens with these two going forward?
Snowed Over was a heartwarming short story that shows how the worst of scenarios can lead to the best of scenarios. I thoroughly enjoyed this read and I found myself longing for an abandoned cabin and a warm fire. This is a perfect one-sitting read for a cold night curled up with a blanket. Ms. Stanton has won me over once again.

I picked up this e-book, expecting a light feel-good contemporary for the holiday season, and that is exactly what I received. This Christmas novella didn't waste any time with the story, it immediately set the scene for what should have been a disastrous Christmas for both Katie and Alex, but instead turned it into an unforgettable holiday.

These two characters start out on their road trip home for the holidays as strangers, but as the storm outside rages on, it creates an obstacle in their plans that neither one saw coming. As they're forced to stop and spend the night in a deserted cabin, for who knows how long, both of these characters bring forward their hesitations on going home and find a lot more than just warmth in the fireplace.

This particular story is great to cozy up with on a cold winter day with a mug full of steaming hot chocolate. Though the outcome of the story is predictable, it's still one worth experiencing. My only regret: I wanted more! Since it's a novella, the story is kept short and as the reader we only see a glimpse of their lives. It left me wondering what happened later. Though the ending was wrapped up nicely with a pretty bow on top, I still wanted to know what lies ahead in their future.

I recommend this story to anyone who's in need of a cute feel-good YA contemporary set during the holidays. Just make sure you have plenty of hot chocolate and warm blankets near by to keep you warm!

Looking for a fun, romantic, Christmas read this holiday season? Look no further than Snowed Over. From the author who brought you The Jamieson Brothers Series (See the reviews for Rock and A Hard Place and Snapshot), comes a super sweet Christmas story about a super hot college student and his super crazy fiance, plus a super sweet girl who falls for the unavailable guy in the most awkward of circumstances. (Like how many times I used "super" in that sentence? I do.)

A winter storm and no snow plows equals bad luck for these two newly introduced college students on their way home for the holidays. What will happen when everything goes incredibly wrong? (Or...maybe it's incredibly right? You be the judge.) This novella is a super quick read, great for that snowy, icy day when you're not in the mood to go anywhere but you need some action in your life. Grab Snowed Over and a hot cup of cocoa. Cuddle up, and fall in love (again and again and again).

The great thing about good novellas is how quickly you can read one. The bad thing about a good novella though is how you might not want it to end because you've enjoyed it so much. Snowed Over falls squarely in the middle of these categories. It's a short and sweet enough story, but because it's a novella I felt a bit cheated as a reader.

Sometimes I wonder why some authors make some books novellas in the first place. For popular authors, they feel almost like placeholders, holding true fans over just long enough until the next REAL novel comes out. But maybe that's not it at all. Maybe some stories are just quicker to tell then others.

Being a long winded reader of sorts, I found myself wanting more out of this book. I wanted a backstory between the main characters. I also wanted closure with her family. For being such a huge part of such a short story, I felt short changed in the end.

Bottom line, Snowed In is a quick, Christmas-ish love story that's not about to wow anyone anytime soon. But if you take it at its face value, then Snowed In is just as advertised.

Quick and easy read. I am sure that the reader will love it. It has a touch of the Christmas spirit. The characters are easy to like, there is no cheating or over the top drama and our two characters are stuck in the middle of nowhere and have plenty of time to get to know each other plus they have to find ways to get through the days and not freeze their bottoms.

I didn't like Katie's mother at all. Her behavior was the worst a mother who cares about her children might have and I couldn't quite understand why she was with "Not the boyfriend". Things at the family table seemed a little fake to me.

I love Angie Stanton's books. Being from WI, I love that she writes about places in WI and that I not only know where they are and how to pronounce them, but it helps me relate to the story more.

Snowed Over was no exception. Not only could I relate in terms of location but also weather. In WI is gets pretty cold and as I read this book, I could literally feel the cold as they experienced it.

Snowed Over was a very cute novella. I loved the story. I loved the characters. And I loved the ending. I would definitely be interested in hearing more of Alex and Katie's adventures.

Oh hey for once I am reviewing a seasonably appropriate book on two fronts – Snowed Over by Angie Stanton has a blizzard AND it’s a romance, so it’s an awesome February read, especially in light of the latest snow storm. Also, this review is not going to be terribly long, because Snowed Over is a novella, it’s only 126 pages and straight up, I don’t want to spoil you with all of the details

This was a super quick, super cute Christmas read.

This little novella warmed my heart. Alex and Katie were so adorable together! And what made it even more perfect was all that snow! I just love it. I'm one of those sappy types that gets sucked in every year watching all the Lifetime TV Christmas flicks...and now I know I will be reading Christmas books too. If they are anything like this one, then I'm all in. :o)

Not really sure what to rate this one. It was fast-paced because of the novella length and cute overall! The snowed in, cabin-vibe reminded me of MAGNOLIA and SNOWED IN. Pretty repetitive in places (I'm pretty sure an exact conversation from the beginning was pasted in at the end) and didn't offer closure on some bigger family issues. I know it's a novella and not everything can be resolved, but I thought it needed that. Regardless, cute and super quick holiday story!
