Cubs for Rent #5

Until Mister

Rate this book
Wren thrives on being wicked. Haven needs to steer clear of his brand of trouble. They are both just trying to survive.

Most people consider Wren as born blessed. He has the looks of an angel, the morals of a devil, and isn’t afraid to use whichever trait he needs most for every situation. What his looks won’t buy him, his connections will. As the son of a famous actor, there isn’t a door in society blocked to him. Unfortunately, his father blew through his money long before dying of a drug overdose, leaving Wren to work to pay his way. It’s a good thing he has a body men can’t resist and a personality to match. The last thing he needs is a controlling ex BDSM master getting in his way.

Haven aka Mister is just trying to get through the day. Between his bestselling BDSM how-to books and his job at Cubs for Rent, he isn’t hurting for money, but his personal life is a different story. It’s dead in the water. After ruining his relationship with the only man Haven cares to love, he has no intentions of ever dating again. He knows he’s poisonous and he won’t risk hurting anyone else. That’s exactly why he has to stay away from Wren. Too bad he can’t.

With an unexplainable draw pulling them closer together, it’s only a matter of time before they break. But there’s more to Wren than a pretty face, and he’s in bigger danger of losing everything than even he knows. Unless Haven can save him, that is.

Really enjoyed Haven & Wrens book... this was sweet. Both men suffered past tragedies, self inflicted or otherwise, but it was nice to see Haven got a second / third chance and Wren found a best friend in Dex and a love in Haven. Special mention to Finch the beautiful brother ❤️

The redemption story. What happens when the most (hated) misunderstood character in the series matches up with a sexy sprite with a brother under his care. The feelings and family setting they create pave the way for both of them to heal from mistakes from the past.

🥲This has a few strong emotional moments. Tears were shed, good tears. I really enjoyed this.
*It's a wise writer's decision for Haven to fall for someone (Wren) who is so far apart from Haven's previous romantic circumstances. Totally different from his ex, and away from the BDSM way of life he had been in.

A Great Pick You Up

Ever feel like you can’t find that great book to read? The book you’re reading currently it’s OK it just doesn’t leave you feeling all warm and fuzzy inside. Well then let me suggest you grab a book by Charity Parkerson, because her books are just that, warm and fuzzy. You can’t help but smile and feel good reading one of her books.

Even if you’re not currently reading anything but you just feel blah, Charity’s books are a great way to pick you up.

Not a bad story just not for me.

Glad Haven got a happy ever after. I just don’t get this being owned by someone, and follow orders so I would say this book was not for me. Would of been nice still to get what was so bad between Haven and Kevin. Dex was a douche but looking forward to reading his story. Three stars go to Finch and him being included in the story once he was introduced into the story. Wren was okay he was a great brother.

Best in the Series

Who doesn’t love a good redemption arc? I didn’t think Haven could be rehabbed but I was totally wrong about that. Haven and Wren are perfect for each other and Finch is the best kind of scene stealer. On another note, I couldn’t wait to get out of Comfort either (and have never looked back) so Haven got extra points on that too.

After the last book, I did NOT expect to like Mister, much less adore him but Charity proved me wrong.

I love how she turned an almost villainous character into a good guy and showed that people can change. I adored Haven and Wren's story.

Yet another Charity Parkerson novel about a character that we already know was abusive in a previous relationship. Stop treating abusers like they deserve happily ever afters!

3,5*
PLEASE READ MY RATING SYSTEM!!!

To my ratings:
A 3,5* is clicked with a 4* but in review marked as 3,5*:

5* - very very good and rare (it would be a Blow-Away-book like ‘Jesse's Smile’ or ‘Joey’ from Angelique Jurd, ‘Save the the kids’ series
from EM Leya, ‘Love’s Tethered Heart’ from C.L. Etta or ‘Liberty’ from Seth King),
it's like an A+

4* - very good and will be often reread and is a WOW-book with interesting plot and surprises (like most of Andrew Grey books and Davidson Kings 'Haven Hart'-series)
it's like an A

3,5* - a really good book, which will be reread a few times (most romances where you can enjoy for relaxing and during waiting times in
hospitals). I can recommend them definitively!
It's like an B+

3* - it could be more then a one-time-reader (2-3 times a year),
it's like a B

2* - it was ok to read, but it's more a one-time-reader (I wouldn't recommend it heartily, but it was ok)
It's like a C-, D

1* - sorry, but that isn't really a book for me (too many mistakes, not nice plot, illogical, so an absolute NO-GO). It's like failure in the
whole line, dismissed, repeat the class

**Warning: this text may contain spoilers** Haven ruined everything he touched. Just ask his ex Kevin. After a disastrous end to a marriage Haven swore he would never again become involved with anyone. He was toxic or so he thought until he laid eyes on Wren.
Wren was doing everything he could to take care of himself and his brother Finch, he didn't need distractions. Haven was a distraction. As the two got to know each other they soon realized they more than cared. Haven found the family he wanted in Wren and Finch. Could they make it work? This is a story about second chances! Loved Haven and Wren.

My favorite Cubs for Rent so far! I love this author’s diligence in finding love for the exes, even when they seem like bad guys in previous books. This relationship came together so naturally, and Haven’s transformation spoke for itself!

Loved it

This book was full of love and heartache. When is so sweet and loving. The way he cares for his little brother Finch is priceless. Mister is broken and needs to be shown love. I really love Mister. Like he is one of my favorite characters in the series. This book is absolutely amazing and will have you crying.
