I’m not who I used to be. Valentine Morningstar, my own father, tried to ruin my life, and instead he made me stronger. But my own power will consume me if I don’t learn how to control it, how to channel it to help everyone, not just myself. I have to learn how to be this new person I’ve become.
GC – my handsome false god, Pazuzu – my dark demon, Sariel – my fallen archangel, and Francis – my… I know what he is now, but it hurts to say it. They keep me grounded. They keep me sane, and they keep me good. Without them, I’m afraid I might just turn into a villain.
***Author's Note: This is book 4 in the Grim Reaper Academy series, intended for mature audiences. Please be advised that it may contain situations that are triggering to some, profanity (way more than in my previous books!), and a lot of steam.
Cara Wylde loves to write about strong, feisty women and their hot Alphas who will do anything to make them happy. Her books are filled with romance and just a dash of mystery, suspense, and that eerie atmosphere she fell in love with reading too many gothic novels. With a master's degree in Comparative Literature, she can't help but play with tropes and themes from various genres, trying to come up with fresh perspectives on the paranormal characters her readers love so much. Vampires, shape-shifters, demons, witches... Cara will always make sure they get their own twists.
When she's not writing, Cara is reading, planning her next story, or daydreaming. Her idea of pure heaven is a day filled with nothing but her laptop, a huge coffee pot, relaxing music, and a new, exciting project.
One thing for sure, I am really glad this series is over. The story continues but Mila’s quest came to an end. Finally.
It is quite funny to see how Grim Reaper Academy went from a favorite of mine to a pain in the ass.
I absolutely loved the first book, Mila’s goodness and quite naive view of the world. The story was fun and entertaining, a grown up version of Harry Potter with Grim Reaper cloaks instead of wizards’s.
But then the plot started to sway from light and funny to overly complicated. Time travel, dream jumping, different dimensions or even time switchers -as Lorna calls them. Mila never really grew up and just became more rash and selfish as the story went. Mila was a mix of Harry Potter and Katniss Everdeen: burdened by her status as protagonist and Chosen One and not fun to follow around.
But despite that, Grim Reaper Academy might just be one of the few series I have ever finished. Yes, I wanted it to get over with but in no universe I would read a book I’d feel forced to. As disappointing as the last couple of books might have been in my opinion, Grim Reaper Academy was still a very enjoyable series. The humor -although entirely absent in this fourth book- and some of the characters definitely made the read worth it.
I will miss Corri, Lorna and Paz and CG’s rivalry. I might even miss Sariel and his depressing ways and I would miss Yoli if her own series weren’t hinted at the end.
At the end of the last book, Mila wants to add to her harem but when this book opens it looks like we missed that whole situation as they’re all together which was annoying. But then I'm pretty biased when it comes to the heroine because I just don't like her! It's absolutely ridiculous how she's so selfish and disrespectful. Plus the whole immortal thing has HER acting like a straight up child. I can safely say I really did not enjoy these as the heroine was a big issue for me. She needs a lot of self help and intervention because I found her so selfish and as a user of those around her and she doesn’t even care. Sure she pretends but really if it doesn’t effect her she doesn’t care much, I won’t even go into it about her pixie smh. Needless to say I was not a fan. Even the guys won me over, or I just forgot all their misdeeds but the heroine, no she was not it!!!!
The first book was pretty decent, the second got a little tedious, the third was a slog, but this one? Well, this one I absolutely hated. Thankfully it's written in such a way that it's a quick read because I basically resorted to skim-reading the entire thing.
Wylde introduced a new player into this book, a cousin who would ultimately save the day and not the MC. It was a total cop-out. The story could have gone in any direction after the end of book 3 but instead, we end up with the whiniest, meanest, woe-is-me MC.
The MC has spent 4 whole books being essentially the dumbest girl I've ever read of. She was unwilling to truly learn about the Grim Reaper Academy and the world she had been thrust into. There's a thing in the real world called 'Survival Instinct' - when faced with problems we don't understand we attempt to make sense of them, we try to assimilate into different cultures, we try to learn about our new reality - why wasn't Mila written in such a basic, adaptive way? It was frustrating.
By the end of this book, she had learned very little about anything and yet moved on to become one of 22 Grim Reapers in charge of releasing souls for the next 200 years. You wouldn't promote a lazy, incompetent worker into a position of influence if they didn't understand the basics of their duties and environment, so why would the MC garner such a position when she did very little to earn it?
I almost DNF'd this book, I only hung in there because I'm a series completionist but I won't be reading anything from Cara Wylde again.

I was dying to read the final book in this series and my god was it good. I loved the whole series but i think this one was by far my fav. Darker, Sexier but chock full of action, uncovered truths and back stories that bring a conclusion that i didnt see coming. It was damn good though. Just brilliant!! I cant wait for legacies
I gave this book a 4 star review because while I did love the book it felt rushed a bit and the ending was just like wow that was it. Book 1 was so good I enjoyed it because it was a different concept grim reapers and the academy. Book 2 I loved loved she had her harem formed and found out more about herself. Book 3 she knows who she is but she was changing into a mean girl even kind of being bratty to her men. The ending through me through a loop but was still good. Book 4 Mila changed a lot I mean a lot I get it what she is and what happened but honestly she was whiny through most of this book and acting real mean and pushing her guys away after just claiming all 4 in the previous book. I loved it in the sense that yeah we again get to know more about the world they are in but I felt like she turned into a selfish person for most of this book. The ending was set up to get the spin off series and I think it could have been accomplished in a different way. We meet a cousin in this book after having a built of Mila who had a whole prophecy about her so introducing this new character and having her be crucial to the ending was kind of out of no where. The series is a great read and the RH scenes were amazing will I read the spin off of course I like Yolanda the cousin but I feel she could have been introduced differently or sooner.
This was a fab ending to a great series! Full of twists I did not see coming this had me on the edge of my seat with the struggles and heartbreak but oh what a finale! A series well worth a read!
**mild spoilers for series** DNF - to be honest I think I was over the series during the 3rd book. I only have 4ish chapters left of this one but I just can't do it. The MC is very annoying, I found myself quite literally trying to skip full pages of "inner ramblings" because she was driving me nuts. My younger sisters annoy me less than her. "Poor me lost everything that I had, that I didn't even realize I had until the last book, and lost the stuff I didn't want.." blah blah Book #3 could have finished the entire series except she is your normal female/hormonal teenager and threw a hissy fit which ultimately caused her death. Which BTW in book #1 she goes on and on about how good she is at hiding her emotions because of her abusive step father. Also this is maybe (probably) a me thing but does everyone see the RH at the end of all the books in the series. Yes there is sex scenes but damn. The book is only 174 pages the least you could do is have more than 2 sex scenes. They had sex non stop in the book but it included statements like "Days passed, weeks… and I sometimes slept with all of them, sometimes only with GC and Paz,"... that didn't 'make or break' the book I was hust expecting more. Mind you there are 4 chapters left so maybe I am missing all the sex at the end of the book. Okay so negatives was too much: Characters (hated the personality changes) Editor issues (Every. Single. Book.) A lot of bold/random moves that have you saying "WHAAAAAT" (said in minion voice because they are cute)-again a me preference. I like to think I know the character after 3 books so why did Hannah Montana do the music video for Wrecking Ball? Being VERY selfish and hypocritical (book 3 and on)
The positives: Its over... Kidding Actually the story line was good in the beginning and I was hooked from the first chapter. I liked how you learned a little bit without being thrown into a new world. I enjoyed the flow of the books (for the most part) its was all moderately paced not one of those "action then nothing for 40 chapters" kind if books.
Okay so PS: This is my first review in who knows how long. I apologize for any and all errors (grammatical or otherwise) I was trying to read to help me fall asleep. Now I am mad at the book and gave up on it. Too grumpy to sleep, it is 1230am and I have to be up in 3 hours for work. Yay front line staff... Anyways. Goodnight and thankyou for reading, honestly drop your thoughts on my lengthy review. Xo
What an ending to a great series! Holy cow, I couldn't put this book down! There were some twists I did not see coming! I was on edge and felt sorry for Mila. My heart broke with some of her choices.
So Mila, GC, Paz, Sariel and Francis are back for their final year. Remember she died in book three so now she is a Revenant. So she has to do things she does not want to and despises it. So is she upset with the guys for the decision they made for her. She knows that she has to get rid of her father but how now that she is no longer human? While she figures out what to do she finds out about a cousin who can dream jump! What? Why? Yeah I was shocked when I realized what Mila was thinking. Also Mila is pushing the guys away but are persistent about not leaving her side. They want to help her through her turmoil. So Does Mila figure out how to kill her Dad? Will she give up? Will the guys stick around? Will she be strong enough. Oh so many questions and there are so many answers.
Overall, this was a great and unexpected ending for Mila and her men. The heat level is still there and oh so good. Be prepared for the craziest journey ever.

Seizing Year Four: Reverse Harem Bully Academy by Cara Wylde is an awesome story that I have read. This is book number four in this awesome series that I have loved reading. I highly recommend this story to everyone who loves reading abouterotic and paranormal romances.

I liked book this series till book 3. In 4th Mila just did such a 180 that's not even funny. I get it, she is extremely prone to depression and axiety. I liked her as human but when she became revenant something just simply broke in her. Blood sacrifices where extemely hard to swallow and yeah any decent person would have an issue with it... But she lost herself to the point that basically she didnt even know what to do with herself...
I'm slightly dissapointed in guys that they didn't help her more since they apparently knew partially what was going on. Sometimes if you love someone you need to give them a push in right direction instead of just waiting for them to get better on their own.
Mila messed up again angered her father and now she's neither dead or alive she's something more and that more comes with a price a great sacrifice and how will she beat Valentine she can't but someone else can the lines are drawn she's stoped seeing the men that mean so much to each other and gone down a dark path one she travels alone there's one final battle to be had.
This is a more complicated darker book then the other's Mila separates herself from everyone and her father will take advantage of this she was so close to having her real mother instead she gained another member of her family and at the end of this book your left with more questions and a new Reapers Academy beginning. I liked this the final battle was almost anticlimactic and I felt bad for Mila but at times she drove me crazy with her attitude so in all the story was good and hopefully Yolanda's story will be just as interesting.
I was allowed to read this book via Kindle Unlimited and this is my honest review.
Well if you've got this far, you know that this series is phenomenally written. Wylde has a style of storytelling that is unique. So, Mila is tasked with bringing down her father. While trying to find a way, she comes across her cousin Yoli. Knowing she can't dream jumping anymore, she enlists Yoli to help by asking her to find Milas's mom. In doing so, Yoli finds out more about Mila than she's been told. She also finds out answers about Morningstar. It's not long until she reveals everything to Mila, all that she knows about her, about her mom and get dad. Mila now has to figure a way to not only fight her dad but win. Find out the amazing conclusion to our heros story. I loved it all and am going to continue the epic tale with Yolis series.
Seizing Year Four: A Reverse Harem Bully Romance (Grim Reaper Academy Book 4)
OMG 😱 Mila changes a lot in this book, she is more whiny and had a poor me attidue, I get it, her father killed her and then she came back, but she should of appreciated how many people loved her to make the sacrifice. She was very high and mighty in most of the book, even her friends we’re getting aggravated. I enjoyed the ending because it sets up for the spin off series. We meet a her cousin in this book which introduces this new character and had her be crucial to the ending was kind of crazy. The series is amazing and the RH scenes were great and I am starting the next book in the spin off after I write this review. I do recommend this book 📖 - series 📚!!!!
In this review I'm going to sum up my opinion of all 4 books. This book wrapped up how I thought it would. No surprises really. I was glad it was over. I'm not trying to be mean but I was honestly done before I even started this book. The series dragged out too much was very slow. I had no real desire to continue but I did. The author needs to get a better editor because there were errors in all 4 books. They werent terrible but distracting which takes away from the book. I just wasnt feeling this last book either. I felt this was forced and perhaps the author was over it too. It showed. First 2 books were great and 3-4 just werent in my opinion. This was an interesting series and I liked the idea of it but there were so many different plots going that it just didnt work out well. I'm not going to alienate other reviewers but thats just my opinion on the series. I was disappointed a little.
Loved the book it was great, the story was well written and the characters are interesting. Once I started I could not put the book down from start to finish you just could not get enough left you wanting more twists and turns hot and steamy like a rollercoaster ride of emotions that makes you want more. She is happy she has Pazuzu, Sariel and Francis they keep her sane and not a villain. Have a cold glass of water when reading its hot. Thank you for allowing me to review your book.

Assim, decepcionante.
I hate to dnf a series so I pushed through these books to reach the conclusion, but they were a solid 3/5 imo. The ideas were there, but the execution was not for me personally. I found the fmc's internal monologue to be so cringey and straight up annoying at times - this was one of the main things that irked me throughout the series. The premise was great, but I feel it fell a bit short for me sadly.
I don't think I've ever given a book by Cara Wylde anything less than a 5 until this. It's nearly 200 pages of a woman whining and moaning about her life. I get she's got some reason to be freaked out, but the book is annoying and hard to get through from the view point of a selfish, morose woman who takes everything around her granted.
I really loved this series until now. The first three books were entertaining, and I love Cara's tarot series, but I expected more for the ending than what we got. The writing itself is really good. I just wasn't as satisfied as usual.

My jaw just hit the ground!!!! I loved this book so much I’m happy she got to see her mum again I’m glad death gave her 200 years. I’m happy her dads gone finally. Yoli I’m so glad she has her own series. I’m just sad Mila will never have kids unless that gets fixed in Yolis books????
I am not a fan. I felt like it was all over the place and important things were just glossed over. Characters were vain and one dimensional. I felt no growth. I really disliked a lot of people. I did finish the series. And because the main plot became resolved I gave 3 stars instead of 2.
There was a typo when sariel graduated, it was kinda annoying since he went through all that but it was still vd (even though i know it's a typo, i just dont want to rub it in his fictional face)
anyway, it was okay but i somehow wish the spotlight had been solely on Mila because that segué for the next possible series was kinda too much.
She is Stronger but power might consume her if she can't control it, how to channel it to help everyone. GC-her handsome false god, Pazuzu-her dark demon, Sariel-her fallen archangel, and they keep her grounded. Without them she is scared she might turn into a villain.
This was overall a good story line with good characters. It was for the most part fast paced and smooth. This last book for me was good but it was hard to hold my attention till the very end.
This book is great. The whole series has been. I love books that kind of end like you expect but don't. That's what happened here and it was a great twist. I read this whole series straight through and I never do that. I really enjoyed it.
One of my favorite paranormal romance series I have come across. Listened to all four books in a row. Kept me engaged throughout each word spoken. Great narration.
Reverse harem. Plenty of steam. I really didn't like how her personality changed in this one but still loved it.
I've loved all the this series bar this one. It was just too scatterd and I really had to push myself to read this just incase it got better but it really didn't. I'm really gutted as I loved the other books.
This book was the final of 4 books for Mila's story. It was an epic tale and no stone was left unturned. It was captivating and naughty. I def recommend this series.
An excellent conclusion to a great series!!! Captivating and intriguing, with plenty of unexpected twists and turns, I simply devoured it. I can't wait to read more by Cara Wylde!
