I enjoyed this book and highly recommend it. Well written, it tells of a story of Iyoren a poor hustling young woman who happened to be in a bus with a wealthy young lady, ET that looked like her. Following an accident in which ET dies, Iyoren assumes her identity to survive in Lagos. The story takes over from there. Engaging, realistic dialogue and portrayal of Nigerian culture. A few typos and multiple point of views but it didn’t stop my enjoyment of this lovely story with a satisfying ending. Well deserved 5 stars!
Finally got around to reading this book, it is a very well told story and very relatable too. While I understand the Uko family's grief, I wished they would understand where Inyene was coming from and the possibility that she might have had amnesia and didn't set out to fool them from the start. Oh and that Ete Johnny is a very stupid man, an excuse for a relative, I was ashamed just reading about him.
Regardless, it was a captivating story, couldn't put it down till I was done.
