FIRST SHE ROARED. THEN SHE RAGED. NOW IT'S TIME FOR HER REIGN.
Aurora Pavan wanted to change her world.
She wanted to protect her people, not because they paid taxes, but because they deserved to live without fear. She wanted Pavan to be a home that welcomed everyone--remnants, stormhunters, and witches included.
For the first time in her life, she did not dread the duty into which she was born. She wanted it.
Then she met him. The Stormlord--the man who wielded the same magic as she, but with the intent to destroy rather than save. The Aurora Pavan who came home from that confrontation was not the same girl that had braved the wildlands and joined a rebellion. She was no longer the girl who was ready to change the world, ready to rule.
But she's the queen now all the same. And her kingdom needs her.
If only she can keep the new darkness inside her at bay.
The series that USA Today called "bright, electric, and imaginative" continues: Aurora Pavan rises to take her throne in this third installment of the Stormheart series by New York Times bestselling author Cora Carmack.
Cora Carmack is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of New Adult Romance and YA fantasy. Her books have been translated into more than a dozen languages around the world. Cora lives in Austin, TX, and on any given day you might find her typing away at her computer, flying to various cities around the world, or just watching Netflix with her kitty Katniss and her dog Sherlock. UPD 2025: The author said she's working on two projects, one of which is Reign. Nothing concrete announced
UPD: 2024 Not this year, but "it's coming", alright as of July 22 2024, (quote)"No definitive date currently, but I’m finally back to being able to write consistently. So hopefully there will be news before too long" - I take it, it's not yet finished. I know it currently says Jan 1 2025 on amazon, but it's just another false date set by amozon.
UPD: 2023 The book won't be released this year, but at least I saw some stuff from Carmack that make me believe it's actively being written and I am hoping for 2024. At least the author does have a substack now where she sends out updates (I haven't received any after a year of subbing, though)
UPD: End of 2021 This series was postponed again until TBA. Based on author's social media profiles (Instagram and Twitter), I seriously doubt it will come out in 2022 (maybe in the very end of). Again, I wish there was more clarity on the situation although at this point there's nothing to say - the book is still in the writing process I know I will not be reading any new series by the author unless all installments in it will have been published
Original rant, 2020
My most anticipated release of 2020 (if you don't count "Midnight Sun", which I didn't count as Midnight Sun was announced on May 4th, half-way into 2020), and it seems as though it was postponed until 2021. Initial Amazon page was deleted
I just wish the author would post smth about it. I couldn't find any news about it on author's twitter (I did find 10+ daily politics-related tweets.... thank you, Ms Carmack, very interested, I went to your twitter to read about your political opinions and not to find out when can I give you money to buy your book... srsly, I even searched keywords and other people were asking about Reign, and the author didn't answer, and it doesn't seem like she posted anything about the postpone), author's blog hasn't really been updated since 2018 (there isn't even a cover announcement for Reign, although the cover was released eons ago). It's just frustrating. Srsly, this isn't a big series, this isn't that big of a release, authors need to be more forthcoming when it comes to promoting their books.
This is never coming out, damn it. That's it. I'm writing my own fanfic ending to this. And yes: Cass wins EVERYTHING. Fuck Locke/Keiran-- whatever the fuck his name is. He gets bitched and pissy about Roar being a princess all the while MY king Cass bowed to our Storm-girl with no hesitation when she told him to pledge loyalty to her as the true Queen.
Cass is about that life. And if Roar don't want him, I shall gladly step in line and take his ass.
I'm pretty sure Cass is gonna get the shaft in canon because the female MCs never pick the guys I like. I have the most severe cases of Second-Male-Lead syndrome ever.
cue titanic gif (because i have no idea how to add graphics on this thing) of that old lady saying, 'it's been 84 years!' i hope cora carmack is living her best life tho, i understand why it has taken her 84 years to write this book. i'm just eagerly anticipating it
I’m just giving it 5 stars now because I already know I’m gonna love it!!! I cannot wait for this book! And if there is anyway I could get an arc that would be so amazing! Even if I get an arc I’ll still have to buy it again when it comes out lol
I've been waiting on this to come out for 5 years!! At this point whatever Cora comes up with won't be worth it. 😒 It's just disappointing when authors do this.
