About the author

Jennifer Rothschild is a recovering perfectionist who has learned to live beyond limits ever since her life drastically changed at the age of fifteen, when she lost her sight. Now, more than 30 years later, she boldly and compassionately teaches women how to find contentment, walk with endurance, and celebrate the ordinary.

This was a fantastic Bible study! I was unfamiliar with the author beforehand but have grown to know and love her! The fact that she is blind adds even more respect to what she is able to do and communicate. The video messages that went along with the study were excellent.

I was surprised that there would be a whole Bible study on the book of Haggai (after all, it's only 38 verses!), but there was a lot pulled in from Ezra and other books to help provide context. I even decided to memorize the book by putting it to song (you can find it on YouTube) and several ladies from my church joined me. Haggai has become near and dear to my heart. :-)

We read this book at Bible study and Jennifer is just incredible. If you are doing the study, you must also watch the videos that go along with it. You will laugh, cry and walk away recharged each week. The daily studies were quick but they stayed on my heart and mind all day. I only hope to some day be as comfortable expressing my faith and living it in all aspects of my life as Jennifer. I know, I know-take courage. I couldn’t recommend this Bible study enough and will absolutely be joining her podcasts. “And all the sisters say, Amen.” 💕

I did this study with Lifeway OBS March - April 2022. I always enjoy hearing from Jennifer Rothschild and lessons she has learned… especially, maybe this one about dis-courage-ment / what to do when you feel discouraged or need encouragement (wouldn’t she know from just being blind and obstacles she has to overcome) and how to have courage during these times in life. Most of the study is focused on the minor prophet Haggai (which only has two chapters), along with corresponding chapters in Ezra and Nehemiah.

A 7 week session bible study and it was amazing. Jennifer Rothschild has been blind since the age of 15 but she has been blessed with being able to teach God's word. This study goes through the book of Haggai which is only 2 chapters and lets you explore the messages he gave to the Jewish people from God. This study teaches you how to be patient, courageous and strong! I completed this study with a great group of women at my church and it was well worth it. Every week was great and gave you eye openers to your relationship with Jesus and God.

A wonderful Bible study from the small book of Haggai where the prophet Haggai delivers sermons from God to the Jewish people. Even though there were consequences for their sin, as there is for ours, God proves He never gives up on His people and continues to pursue each of us. The homework each week was both challenging and thought-provoking, straightforward and encouraging! Such a timely study for this season of my life. Jennifer teaches the Word with such passion, and this study is no different…..highly recommend!!

Rothschild explores the story of one of the lesser known prophets of the Old Testament to give us an emphatic reminder of God's constant presence in our lives, even when the situation doesn't seem so good.

I love how much our small group had been exploring the Old Testament this year. Understanding the history of the Ancient Jewish people helps me see how much work God put into preparing us for the arrival of his son, and how so many of the promises he renewed with Jesus began much earlier.

Wonderful Bible study on the book of Haggai, all 38 verses in two chapters! She is a gifted teacher, and pulls from Old and New Testament to put everything into context. A great theme for today, finding courage when you are disillusioned, beaten down, and your hope is failing. Enjoyed this one immensely :)

This was my first Bible study with Jennifer Rothschild. I enjoyed digging into the obscure book of Haggai. Several of the lessons were really great, but overall, the lessons felt a little disjointed. I don’t know if it was because of stretching the teaching of a very small book over seven weeks? I still feel like a got some good nuggets along the way.

I had not studied the book of Haggai before and was so encouraged (and inspired!) by Jennifer Rothchild's words, pointing me back to the truths in scripture, that we can take (not have) Courage because we belong to Jesus. 38 verses in Haggai but this study is so much more. A look at the trials of the Jews as they came back from captivity to rebuild the temple amidst all odds from less than cooperative neighbors. Learn about our courage in Christ. Another worthwhile study from Jennifer Rothschild!

Such a fantastic bible study for our current times. This was just what I needed and really got me thinking and digging deeper. If you are having a hard time with dealing with all the world is throwing at you, this is the book for you. The videos that coincide are enjoyable and edifying as well.
