Again the "feelings" by the guys ruin it for me... Their obsession for me is to much... (since i'm not a fan of RH, feel free to ignore this review)!!

This picks up right where the last book left off. It continues on the dark emotional roller coaster of an abuse survivor, dealing with her mental illness and maybe starting to learn to cope. This series is a giant trigger warning but if you read the second book you should already know that. This is fairly short but that works because of the intensity of the topics. It does end on a cliff hanger that is sure to drive us all nuts until book 3 is out. Even though we have a lot of toxicity still, there is growth that happens and you do start to see some glimmers that the future may not be as toxic as the present. I hope book 3's publish date is not too far out.

This series is really something else
CoraLee June has a gift for putting words to the emotions that plague the darkest moments. And by doing that she made me feel less alone. Octavia is a chaotic mess of a human coming to terms with the revelations of the first book. As a narrator, she's as captivating as she is concerning. None of the men in her life are quite prepared for her, but they all compliment and help her in unique ways. My favourite scene was her lying in bed, unable to will herself to move and one of them realised she didn't need a solution, she just needed someone to be present and hold her.
This book is haunting in its raw beauty. And the story isn't over.

Wow. I don’t even know what to say. All I can say about the ride this book took me on:
It felt like I was drowning in it, and like if I came up for air that I might die.
I thought the first book was good. This book took all of the dark and twisted nature of the first book and amped it up a notch. It got rid of some of the humor (although there is still some dry and dark humor to be found in there...just less of the thorny dildo variety).
I guess this is spoilers from the first book...Octavia ends that book sent to a mental hospital....and on a lot of drugs that the hospital gives her. In this book she comes off of them and what a downward spiral it is. The book mentions it, but if you know anything about mental health medication, when you begin taking it and when you come off of it they monitor you very closely for suicidal thoughts and for a whole lot of other things because the drugs are messing with your brain chemistry. Well Octavia...sweet Octavia...seems to go cold turkey off her meds.
What follows is her trying to find the woman that she was in book 1. And of course her trying to kill the man that killed her brother. Because she wouldn’t be Octavia if she wasn’t trying to kill someone.

Oooooh, Octavia is on the warpath in this book!!! I loved this book even more than the first book because Octavia shows a side of herself we haven’t been able to see yet! She’s so vulnerable and weak and very hurt and so sad that you can’t help, but feel what she’s feeling. She wants to get better and be better, but she doesn’t know how to do that without losing who she is. She’s on a journey to her true self and she’s struggling just as much as we all struggle on our own journeys in life. She wants peace and to move forward in life without forgetting her brother. She doesn’t want to feel like she’s betraying him, but she wants to love Young and Noah and Renon. I can feel her acceptance and healing is on the way, she just needs to wake up again for Young and Noah and Renon and mostly for herself. She needs to let go of her anger at herself and her guilt in order to really change and be who she really is. I can’t wait for her to pick her paintbrush back up and color the world the way she sees it. I’m so excited and ready for the third book in the Lies Trilogy! I loved this book! Read it!

⭐️Oh. ⭐️My. ⭐️God. ⭐️Amazing!!! ⭐️
Such a wild ride. I waffled from empathizing to despair of Octavia as she struggled to manage her condition. Depression is the worst, but what’s even worse is the fact that anyone can have their autonomy and credibility taken from them. Based on how depression is perceived as a mental illness that somehow makes one untrustworthy or incompetent.
This trilogy is EPIC in terms of the quality of writing
and how deeply it exposes Octavia’s character as a manifestation of childhood trauma. Despite this fact, everyone is hyper focused on her lack of empathy and her “condition.” As if having depression makes any of the abuse you’ve suffered less factual.
It’s a cruel and accurate look at how children of abuse and neglect are “diagnosed” and dealt with, without ever gaining justice for the underlying cause of their adult neuroses. More care and consideration is given to adult addicts than children of neglect and abuse.
All my blathering should tell you that I highly appreciated this author’s nuanced writing of Octavia as a person. It’s a rare look into a character that was considered to be “weak” or “troubled.” I found her to be extremely strong and determined. This series is an absolute must read for anyone who appreciates intelligent and well thought out characters. I cannot wait for the final book to wrap up the plot and afford Octavia some semblance of peace.
I’m not in love with two of her suitors as individuals, but her third man, despite his “profession,” is quite stunning as a straightforward dependable guy. The fact that he has no agenda other than his need for proximity to Octavia is a huge plus in my book. I’ll let the readers decide which man has the least amount of baggage and the most appeal for themselves. I think Octavia will surprise us and keep all three. We can only hope.

I've got to say, I expected more from this book.
The plot was promising, but didn't really deliver in the end. It just felt all over the place. There were angsty moments I really enjoyed between the characters, but that was about it. I didn't relate with them at all, and they felt quite immature to me.
I didn't really understand what was so special about the main character to garner the attraction of so many guys. Unique, yes. Crazy, yes. But she felt so unhinged and was just so all over the place that her character was just a mess. She mentioned that she was smart, but most of her actions proved otherwise. She just.....ergh. I didn't like her. And that ending - yes I understand that she would've ended it that way, but that's not the way to end a book. Unfortunately, I was so disconnected with heroine that I didn't even care about the ending. I just didn't care.
That said, I suggest that you check out this author's other books. I recently finished "Burnout", and it was amazing. The Sunshine and the Bullets series was out of this world. The Walker series was also a good read. I've been on a Coralee June binge read for a while now, and she is definitely one of my favorite authors. I'll keep reading everything Coralee June publishes.

What an amazing book. I cant wait for the third book to come out. I have so many questions that need to be answered, so many men to still swoon for, and so many emotions that need to be resolved.
I wasn't sure that this one could be better than the first one, but I was wrong. This was a fantastic read. I read both books in one day because I could not put them down. Thank goodness the third isn't out yet or my family would be on their own for dinner.
I dont know that I could ever recommend this series enough. It as dark, angsty, edgy, and kind of insane. Its everything that makes my fucked up heart and mind sing with joy. The men are just broken, unstable, and awful enough to make me love them.

HOLY CRAP! That was a crazy ride... I love Octavia and these men might just be both the best and the worst. Nathaniel continues to surprise me in the best ways. Renon is more than meets the eye, and Noah... The guy needs to catch a break. Samuel needs to die. I just can’t decide if it should be fast or slowly. Ughhh... It’s an ending for now. I need MORE...

Omg. This is the second book in the series and its so good! This does end on a cliff hanger, I seriously cannot wait for the second book! Thia book continues where the last one left off, we get to start to see Octavia's walls crumble a bit. Octavia is my type of Crazy!
I love this story, it shows every bit of fucked up mental health issues that MANY people go through. Just because were CRAZY doesn't mean we can't or don't deserve to be loved. I love Octavia and how she is learning to trust and love others. I can not wait to find out where this crazy road will lead her.

Interesting
Most of the time I would be upset about a cliffhanger, but not here. I love the crazy in this book. And the girl is defiantly crazy. The heroine speaks the truth and follow her needs. The story keeps on going without being boring.

Brilliant!
It’s exciting and intense in places with a brilliant storyline. The author sensitively handles the mental and emotional issues the characters endure. I loved it and I can’t wait to read the last book of this fantastic trilogy!

In Tears and Other Fears, the story delved more into Octavia's pains, her brother's murder and the people who contributed to it. We also see how Octavia slowly evolves. But we also see her struggle with the changes in her. Self-loathing and self-destruction is like a deep, dark hole full of your demons that once you fell down, it's hard to climb back up. It requires patience, love and support from people who care so much about you to pull you out. But most especially, it requires you to help yourself to climb out and give your own demons the middle finger.
Octavia is someone else's mirror. She could be a friend, a family or even yourself. It wasn't the easiest, being lost inside your own mind. It's like a void of never ending self-hate. Like Octavia, you'd feel undeserving of beautiful things this world has to offer. But I admire Octavia's strength. She wields her fear and hate like an armor; like a sword that was dipped in venom. It's where she felt most powerful. It's where she thrives the most. And although she think she's weak with her emotions, I think she's the most strongest when she feels them. Not everyone will survive what she's been through and still wear a sky-high stilletos and dresses with slits high up their hip bones.
I love how the author is trying to convey in this story that even if you are drowning in pain and sorrow, there is still something inside of you that shines through. It's your light that colors the dimness in you.
Octavia is an abstract. She's indecipherable no matter how much you look at her. You have to know the art of her to understand her. And I'm glad thats what the guys have been doing. She's an addiction you can't break, after all.

Mind blown
We are back with octavia, who is what I imagine being in drugs is like, she is a rollercoaster of emotions, eratic, emotional, numb, strong, damaged, determined, smart, intelligent, loyal and a total mind fcuk. This book is just as intense as the first, Octavia is fighting for people she is opening herself up to to trust her, trying to recover from being let down by Noah whilst also battling her own desire for revenge for her brother. I absolutely loved her reaction and interactions with young parents and watching her 'harem' progress and start to work together. Octavia isn't your usual FMC that you read in the reverse harem world. She's intense, makes it a uphill battle for those who love her to have to concur before she submits ( maybe, not sure she submits to anyone but it would be beautiful to see) I loved seeing her more vulnerable side, it was kind of heart breaking but have the guys a chance to show her and is as readers she can move forward if she gets out of this journey alive. Glad we have a little wait for the next part of Octavia story because that girl is intense and I'm going to have to re-read to keep up with her mind and how it works. Well done Cora.

Deliciously Wicked
After reading the first in this trilogy I metaphorically sprinted to buy this book..and it did not let me down. I abos-fucking-lutely adore these books. As I have stated before, Tav is my soulmate. She is the most beautiful disaster and I feel her pain, struggles, and desires almost as strongly as my own..cue side eyes and uncomfortable shifting from others..it's okay I know I'm weird.
I cannot wait for the last in this trilogy. I hate to leave spoilers so I won't..but I will say that if I had not read the authors note I would be FUMING right now. So there's that lol

OppoDamn Cliffhanger
I love Octavia Wilson. She is a chaotic ball of unapologetic rawness. Her voice in this series is everything impulsive that we (those of us pretending to be normal) try to keep hidden so we can feel better about ourselves. I love how she gives those around her an out when she knows they need time. I love how she isn't afraid to say and take what she wants from those around her.I

I don't understand her wanting to forgive Noah. I totally get the mixed feelings with Young. I adore Renon and hope that was Samuel walking in at the end there. And I abhor this cliffhanger so much. At least the author's note at the end helped a little.

This is a book with an unlikable heroine being unpleasant and hurtful to people who care about her. I didn't know if I'd like it because I see that sort of behaviour at work every day and my entertainment usually needs to be more heartwarming. However, I did like it and I will definitely read the final book in the trilogy. There is just enough humanity in Tav's craziness to make me care about what happens to her and whether she will ever come to terms with her brother's death.

Overall, I enjoyed this and it kept me engaged from beginning to end. I think the only thing that let it down a little for me was how abrupt the ending felt. I was also a bit disappointed to see Noah continue to be really involved in the story; I can't stand him. He always makes me think of a sniveling loser-type character. Renon and Young though? Smoking hot and I need more of them. It will be interesting to see where this series ends up and, particularly, Octavia's continuing character development.

Started this book a couple hours ago and I'm done. Absolutely gutted by that ending! I love Octavia so much. She owns a crazy we all possess, but are afraid to let take control. She's got a filthy mouth and that really resonates with me. I also lack tact and speak with a similar brutality. It makes me smile because people always say "ladies don't speak like that". Yet here is a fierce and honest heroine, who in fact, does. I can't wait to see how her story ends. Samuel freaking Smith needs to pay

So overall I really like this book. It’s a vastly different take on RH and I really like Octavia. That being said, I can’t connect with her. Perhaps that’s because I’ve never felt the things she’s felt. I’m not sure. I read books to escape, and this book is too real for that. It’s so well written that it’s actually making me feel a sliver of what she’s feeling, which great books should do. It’s just a little too heavy for me. I wish Octavia didn’t have her bouts of depression, but then that wouldn’t be real to her. Or life, I guess.

Your emotions, thoughts and feelings are so twisted up throughout this book. You feel as if you are right along side octavia and are riding the emotional rollercoaster with her through the battle that she is taking on both inside and outside of herself.
This story is intense and consumes you but it allows you to see the hurt, vulnerability and sadness underneath Octavia’s planned recklessness and consuming feelings that she is trying to navigate.
