Presumption of Guilt

Rate this book
When Attorney General Jeff Sessions resigned in November 2018, two years after Donald Trump's surprise electoral victory, a political outsider named Matthew Whitaker became Acting Attorney General of the United States.

Now Whitaker shares the shocking truth that he discovered when he temporarily became head of the Justice Department: that so-called public servants, the people charged with upholding our nation’s founding principle of “equal justice under law,” have abandoned that principle in order to advance a vicious partisan vendetta against President Trump.

Well, glad I didn’t have to pay $29.00 for 128 pages that includes the constitution. Really didn’t learn anything new. He didn’t convince me that he was qualified to be an Attorney General

Are the employees under the direction of the Chief Executive ultimately accountable to the people who elected him, or is it their job to thwart the people and subvert its elected representative if they feel the people make a 'mistake'? If the former, then we have a government of 'We the People'. If the later we have the "Deep State"... an unelected administrative state operating above the law. The left calls even the term a description of fantasy. Whitaker's first hand account thoroughly documents that it is anything but.

The book is extremely well written and is just statements of fact, including letters and documents. When I see again all that was done in the previous administration despite constant pushing back from elite politicians and corporations, I feel so sad to know how the current administration is trying to destroy our wonderful country. Is a must-read for anyone who would like to see what and when things were filed or requested without the censorship, or altering of mainstream media, or social media.

Finally, The Inside Story At The Justice Department

Mathew Whitaker, as previous Acting Attorney General and Chief of Staff, for the Attorney General, is to be congratulated on performing a public service of lifting the veil on transparency in the Department of Justice, during the most critical of current times, that has ever beset the United States, since the advent of the U.S.Civil War.

FACTS MATTER. Whitaker was appointed Acting Attorney General when Sessions resigned in November 2018 to February 2019 when Barr took over as AG. This book documents exactly how the DOJ tried to oust President Trump from office and exactly who needs to be held to account. Much of the media is guilty of cover up. Whitaker has every statement backed up by documents listed at the back of the book. If you haven’t kept track expect to have your mind blown.

Excellent book!

I’ve learned even more about the “Deep State” from this book. Also in your second section I was surprised by the info you shared about the accomplishment of President Trump and the DOJ. We don’t get to hear about these from the mainstream media. Thank you for your insight into our government that is usually hidden from the American people.

Quick read
Listened as an audiobook, so I was shocked when the author started reading the Appendix or more like the many pages of appendices.
