This was one of the novels that came long after Dark Tide. Ms Forrest turned away from the icky bugs of the past and went for a psychological thriller aka Dean Koontz. She did a fine job of it and though the icky bugs were gone, here engaging writing and intricate plot twists kept me engaged. I was satisfied with the ending and it still sticks with me over a decade later. I still have the book on my shelf today. It's part of my Elizabeth Forrest collection. I'm a huge fan and was disappointed that she shifted to another pen name and another genre, though I'm glad for her success. Maybe one day she'll resurrect Ms Forrest as she definitely has the chops.
If you like 80's and 90's era Dean Koontz I highly recommend you seek this book out. It's well worth it.
