About the author

Margit Sandemo was a Norwegian-Swedish historical fantasy author. She has been the best-selling author in the Nordic Countries since the 1980s, when her novel series of 47 books, The Legend of the Ice People, was published. She has also written many other book series such as Häxmästaren and Legenden om Ljusets rike.

The 2nd book of the Sandemo series

"The Forest Has Many Eyes"

Yrsas, the girl who never says no. A very helpful girl, who's tend to be used by other people. Intelligent and humorous.

The Grott forest, and a series of mysterious deaths surrounding it. A black and white photograph of a boy.

Yrsas wants to find out more about the boy on the photograph. The photo was found next to a corpse. Is the boy alive or dead? If he was dead was it a suicide, murder, accident, or something else?

This time we got a mystery driven story.

Bokens kärlekshistoria engagerar mig tyvärr inte. I Sandemoserien finner jag majoriteten av de mer nutida kvinnorna som oerhört naiva och lite korkade, också de manliga karaktärerna uppfattar jag som oerhört stereotypa. Det som kan rädda upp berättelsen åtminstone en aning är själva spänningsdelen, den engagerar åtminstone lite mer.

Margit Sandemo kan vara väldigt ojämn och jag lyssnar faktiskt på hennes böcker mest som lättsamma "godnattsagor". Men den här fängslade mig verkligen. Välgenomtänkt, spännande story (om än kanske lite osannolik i några avseenden) och karaktärer jag tyckte om.
