Got this book for my birthday (my first ever Thea Stilton book) and it truly was the biggest gift as it helped me discover my love for ballet. Can't believe I will be visiting the theatre of La Scala in a matter of months and to have the opportunity to live and study in a city I have fallen in love with thanks to this book is an even bigger dream come true. The plot of this book is simple yet it's forthcoming message of the importance in pursuing ones passions even when no one sees your potential has stuck with me from the time I started dancing. Like Carlotta, I initially trained at home. Only when I begged my parents 5 years later to let me attend a trial ballet class did I finally have someone notice my potential and I was offered intensive private training. Above all things, this book, although clearly targeted towards a younger audience (with its colourful and captivating illustrations), has given me hope through the years and is definitely a comforting read.

This is the fourteenth book in the Thea Stilton series. This book takes the Thea Sisters to Italy to the prestigious La Scala theater for an international dance competition. The Thea Sisters are asked to investigate the competition as there is something strange happening with the dancers from a dance school called Dance for Mice. They seem to be infiltrating competitions around the world and winning though they lack the hard work and talent that many dancers that loose actually have. Will the Sisters be able to solve the mystery before the competition is completed?

This was a very interesting book about the history of ballet as well as Milan Italy. This book showed what does sometimes happen within the arts and other areas of life in general. A true lesson for the readers to learn about life, but to learn the positive form of the lesson, not to cheat. Good read.

I like the part where Collette and Carlotta got the bad guy team mixed up. Do you know why? Because the bad guy team that wanted to win all the dance competitions but Carlotta and Collette looked quite the same and one of the members from the bad guy team tried to lock up Carlotta in the dressing rooms, but instead he mistaked Carlotta for Collette, but he accidentally locked up Collette instead of Carlotta, and then Carlotta won the dance competition!

This book includes friendship, competition and little bit of romance. The Thea sisters once again go on an adventure to a ballet dance competition.......
On the way they met new friends that help them solve their mystery! Although they are enjoying themselves they have to keep their eyes open for the dishonest judges.......
Will they succeed?????
Or will they fail???

This was a book they had at the house in lamington national park and I read it whilst a guy was trying to fix our power because I brought no physical books of my own + i could grab it without leaving the really comfy chair.

It was really nostalgic, i love that the person who wrote the text actually seemed to have some knowledge of ballet so that was great, the only thing i had a problem with were the illustrations.

There would be a description of a step someone was doing and the drawing would not match the description.

Also WHO IS WEARING THEIR HAIR LOOSE IN A BALLET CLASS?!?! That is like rule number 1

In another drawing someones leg was turned the wrong way, and there was a special case of pointeshoes being laced all the way up to the knees.

I could go on, but it is a childrens book so i should probably take it with some grains of salt.
A lot of grains.

The drawings were pretty, no matter their inaccuracies.

It was a simple mystery but quite interesting to say the least. There’s another skill of one of the Thea Sisters that has been showcased to us in this book. I wasn’t that surprised when I found out who it was. It really suits her character after all.

It was a short mystery that didnt complicate itself too much which was a nice breather from all those other mysteries.

Nice and sweet like the rest of this series. 4/5

The story is full of friendship, loyalty, hard work, a sense of Justice, and more. The friends know that quick tricks can’t beat hard work. They’re driven by a desire to find justice when faced with dishonesty, bullying, or corruption. Characters show growth by learning from their mistakes. The Thea Sisters support each other and make friends easily. There are hints of “romantic feelings” between characters, but the moussing Violet very clearly chooses her friends over boys.

Also includes quick facts about real places & history, in this case the history of ballet and some of the most famous ballet centers in the world.

My favorite part of this book was when The Thea Sisters found a mysterious guy in every picture because I wanted to see what happened next. It’s about 5 sisters were about to get something but a man injured the WRONG ballerina! :(

I really liked how elements of this case perfectly played into my favorite mystery tropes. The Thea Sisters did a great job outsmarting the culprits in the Dancing Shadows, and the mouse puns made it more of a treat to read during the busy week I had.

This book is about five mice, they are the Thea sisters. They are all dancers, they get invited to go dance in one of the biggest dancing industries. They start to figure out the one of the dance groups is up to something. This group is called mice for dance, they are looking very suspicious. The five sisters meet another female mouse named Carlotta, they all become good friends. Carlotta and the Thea sisters had to practice for their upcoming performance. The mice hear three voices talking, who were they? The next day the six judges walk in and start talking to the students. The girls recognize this voice from somewhere, one of the judges was the voice they heard! They have figured out that one of the judges is working for mice for dance! The mice found out who all of the dishonest judges were and showed proof of it! The mice for dance company lost the ballet competition because they cheated their way into it.. Carlotta won and was very proud of herself!

This book is about the Thea sisters, they are mice and there are five of them. There is Colette, she is big into fashion and she is from France. She loves the color pink, she is very energetic and full of ideas. Then there is Violet she goes by the name Vi, she came from China. She wants to become a great violinist, she loves to read. She is always open to new ideas and she loves listening to classical music. The third mouse is Paulina, she goes by Polly. She is from Peru and she wants to become a scientist. She loves traveling and meeting people from all over the world. She is a bit clumsy and she is a computer genius! There is also Nicky, she goes by Nic. Nicky is from Australia and she wants to be an ecologist. She loves open spaces and nature. She is always in a good mood as long as she is outdoors! She is very energetic and she can’t stand being in small, tight places. The last of Thea sisters is Pamela, she goes by Pam. She is from Tanzania and wants to become a sports journalist or a car mechanic. She loves pizza and she is a peacemaker. She is very impulsive! There is also Carlotta but she isn’t in the Thea sisters group. She is a ballerina, she loves to dance and she is a bit shy.

I really liked this book because if you can’t understand a word it helps you out a little bit. I really like these books just in general. The author has good writing skills and I just get really interested in it and I can finish it very quickly! I have always loved Thea Stilton books, I still really like them. A new book comes out all the time, so I have plenty of book options. I love how they go on so many adventures, it is kind of fun to go through it with them!
