Had to DNF at the first dream sequence sex scene. Instead of a besotted older hero, I got an anatomical rundown of what the virginal heroine can expect when she comes of legal age.
The word cervix should be reserved only for gynecological exams and labor and delivery, not sex scenes or romance. Please! 🤢
Age gap, breeding, celibate-ly waiting hero~ All I need in my short erotic novellas~ ・ ・ ・ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🕮⋆˚࿔✎𓂃 𝐣𝐨𝐢𝐧 𝐦𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐢𝐞𝐰𝐬 ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
This was a joy to read I really loved this book, Jonah was just the perfect man and Penelope was his match in every way.
Jonah Carrington had never thought about having a family it was always something that he would get to but when he is suddenly the guardian of his nephew Tucker after a tragic accident he is trust in to family life and is loving being a father and is no longer a slave to his billion dollar company. But even though he is loving fatherhood he still has other responsibilities and welcomes the offer of some help from his neighbours sister that is until Penelope turns up on his doorstep and he knows that he has lost his heart for the second time now all he has to do is wait four months and he can make her his. Can Jonah bide his time and will she want him when all is said and done?
Penelope is staying with her sister after finishing high school early, she has no major aspirations other than to have a family she isn’t as career orientated as her older sister and is happy working at the local nursery that is until she meets Jonah and Tucker Carrington and she thinks that she has found what will make her happy but when Jonah continues to push her away should she just walk away?
Really loved Jonah and the fights that he was having with himself trying to control his primal feelings towards Penelope, he was the ideal alpha male and she is his perfect match. Great story and fantastic epilogue so looking forward to the second generation of this series. 4* Read.
This was a nice older man-younger woman romance with nice steamy love scenes. Jonah is a single father to his newborn nephew. He hires Penelope for help but she is not yet 18 and he must wait to claim her. Fantastic future epilogues with 4 kids and one very unexpected pregnancy. Virgin heroine, celibate hero. Totally safe!
I was alittle annoyed that the author made the heroine 17 and we had alooootttt of sexual tension since hero didnt make a move (4 months until her 18 bday) so yeah lots of push away and waiting. I was happy he waited until she was 18.. but lord it was most of the book.
And when she finally turned 18 things went from 0 to 100 and I'm surpised Penny wasnt mad with the hot and cold moments.. :( I wanted her to be alittle upset.. make him beg alittle.. but I did enjoy the family moments with baby Tucker and them 💕💕

"Unexpected Love" is the story of Penelope and Jonah.
A pretty enjoyable May-December smut with a smitten, obsessed hero, a barely legal heroine (who turns legal before any hanky panky happens), a cute nephew/ baby, loads of dirty fantasies, coitus and a very well bred HEA.
una manera directa de resumir este libro —y la serie en general— es: tipos de 40 años fantaseando con adolescentes, que se esconde bajo la excusa de “la edad es solo un número” y solo piensan en el momento de hacerlas «suyas» finalmente. Disgusting.
A deliciously older man, younger woman read that is hot you’ll need an ice pack to cool down.
Penelope our main female is only seventeen when she meets ore male lead Jonah Carrington. The intense attraction is a given.
Jonah though won’t touch her until she’s legal. Four more weeks and he can put into practice what he’s been dreaming about. Her swollen and pregnant, with a massive ring on her finger.
I absolutely loved this book!!! Oh Jonah.... loving, caring, overprotective, caveman, sexy alpha Jonah!!!! The moment he sees Penelope standing on his porch, he knows he’s screw, but in the best most tortured way. Four months, how hard could it be to wait four months for your true love?? Go on this journey with Jonah and find out how he survives, you won’t regret it!!! I love how this series is in the males POV except the epilogue. I can’t wait for the rest of the series.
-safe read -h is a virgin -H has been celibate for quite a while -older man/younger woman -no om/ow drama -epilogue 6 weeks and 21ish years
I have to say, I liked this one but not as much as the first 3. I think the age gap was a little much for me. Normally, I'm not really affected too much by this and it's not as if it's a bad thing. But he was over 20 years older than her and I don't know, I guess when I try picturing them in their 50's and 60's, he's always gonna be in his 70's and 80's. Sorry, that's just me though. The story was still good. Loved how he was all in even when he shouldn't have been. And I loved how he loved her & no one else could ever compare. -virgin h, celibate H -no cheating or abuse -no OM/OW drama -epilogues at 6 years and 21ish years On to the next one in the series.
My goodness but do I love this duo writing together! An older man younger woman that is just a touch taboo. Instalove that has to wait. A completely safe story with no abuse, cheating or ow om drama and a Happily Ever After. Epilogues 20+ years out that has a HUGE surprise!!
What a hot and lovely cover. It reflects exactly the male character in this short story with all his powerful daddy vibes.
From scene one, he's devoted to his baby nephew and the result is adorable. Even though Jonah is 100% daddy material, he accepts help from a neighbour, and that's when he meets a young woman who takes care of some of his baby's needs and stirs too many inappropriate ones in him. Naughty fun!
Everything stays on imaginary terrain due to her young age, but his plans are forever and she is included in his daily routine while the poor girl hides her disappontment very badly. That was fun.
Maybe he should have waited on his wedding plans until knowing her a bit better than after a drop-dead perusal of her beauty. And there was not much personality from the female character either. However, they spend time together, he really takes her dreams into consideration and finally claims Penelope with his body and his soul.
It's a mix of caveman alpha male in love and sweet, old-fashioned romance. The epilogue shows a far future with humour and a glimpse into a new generation. Cute and hot.
Jonah was such a big cinnamon roll when it came to Penny & his babies. Penny was such a sweetheart with kids, all she wanted to be was a mom (she got that fs lol)
Loved this older man younger woman story! Penelope is the sister of one of Jonah’s neighbors. Jonah recently became the parent to his nephew. The description of the blow out is hysterical! Insta-love at it’s finest!
Una lettura veloce e semplice come piace a me.

What he is to do when he has finally found the. Woman of his life but she is too young and his employee ...
As every book by the duet Fiona Davenport, it is a short read with a naughty side. A silver fox tale from his point of view and the barely of age woman who makes him rethink his life. I laughed and smiled at Jonah’s antics and his internal dialogues between himself and his body. He is the perfect caveman, once he has set his sight on Penny, she will be his, luckily she has the same desires. This quick read is filled with his erotic dreams and his struggles to wait for her to reach her majority. It was quite entertaining and sweet to see him battle his own impulses. The perfect story for a late reading moment. 4.5 stars
"She beamed as she lifted Tucker into her arms and watched him with absolute wonder and adoration. That’s the moment I knew. Seeing her holding my son. F*** it. There was no other option. Penelope was mine. Well, she would be. Eventually."
Oh man I loved this one. This entire series is a treat but I feel like Blair and Justice from the first book have always been a high point. However, Jonah and Penelope have joined them at the top!
This book was sweet and hot. I our hero was absolutely obsessed and pushed to the brink by having to wait until her eighteenth birthday to make her his. Yes, that's the kind of book this is. If you don't like large age gaps or young heroine's this isn't for you.
Just like with all the books in this series, the story is told only by our hero's POV. The heroine gets the last epilogue. I love the books done that way!
I can always count on Fiona for some lovely breeding palate cleanser type of love. I need to start at the beginning of this series now I’m convinced. But also I need to read Tucker’s story
This just is not my cup of tea. When they meet she is 17. He waits the 4 long months, until she is 18, to make his move. I don't care for the threats of abuse if she does something he doesn't like. That ruins the story for me. It's not like they are in bed and she thinks it's hot, no it's a threat, I just can't
I was privileged enough to receive an advanced reader copy of this book from the author for a voluntary and honest review. Fiona Davenport is amazing and this story did not disappoint. Once you start a book she wrote you can't put it down. Would I like for them to be longer? Of course. But her stories are so good that I'll wait for the next one while going back and re-reading the old ones. The only downside for me was the age difference hence the loss of a star. I can't wait for the next one.
That book was so sweet, romantic and steamy hot. Freaking loved how obsessed Jonah was and how he instantly fell in love with his Penny. Well insta love, HEA and no drama.. just awesome😍😍😍 can't wait for the next generation to find their HEA....Go Tucker!!!!
Unexpected Love (Love Series, #4) by Fiona Davenport ⭐⭐⭐½
Hero - Jonah Carrington. Owns a tech/cybersecurity company worth billions. 6’2 and muscular with unruly blond hair in need of a cut, a long face with a hard jaw covered in several days worth of scruff, and pale green eyes.
Heroine - Penelope. Recent high school graduate. Works part-time in the daycare at K-Corp, and now part-time taking care of baby Tucker. 5’2 with an hourglass figure, softly curled, shoulder-length auburn hair and blue eyes.
Overall Thoughts - Hmm...so this is my second time reading this. The first time I gave it five stars, but didn’t leave a review. This time, I didn’t love the story quite as much.
Plot-wise, it’s pretty similar to the first book in the series, which also received five stars from me. The heroine is underage for the majority of it and has no aspirations in life other than being a wife and mother (nothing wrong with that!). The hero is in love with the heroine and wants nothing more than to give her everything she dreams of having, but has to wait until her birthday. As with all other entries in this series, we don’t get Penelope’s POV until the epilogue.
Unlike the first book, though, Jonah has to wait a far shorter time period and has way more interaction with Penelope than Justice had with Blair. This is because Penelope is Jonah’s new part-time babysitter. His son Tucker is actually his nephew, but he was named guardian when his brother and sister-in-law were killed. Tucker’s about a month old, and Jonah’s only had him for a couple of weeks when the story opens. Penelope is the only person Jonah openly trusts to take care of Tucker, besides himself.
Like the first book, there’s a couple of time jumps to move things along, the first being three months, and the other being four weeks. I actually did enjoy the story for the most part. My issues stem from yet another difference - Jonah’s actions versus Justice’s. Like I said, Jonah spent more time in Penelope’s presence and I guess because of that, he’s very hot and cold toward her. He’s never mean or anything, but I’m sure his behavior toward Penelope confused the heck out of her. In the first book, there was no push/pull, Justice simply didn’t pursue her, and he was always pleasant when they did interact.
The other issue is that Penelope’s character was harder to pin down because the authors don’t give her much personality. Yes, she’s sweet and innocent like Blair from book one. But because she spent more time around Jonah than Blair did around Justice, I expected to see more of her personality shine through. For example, when Jonah notices confusion in her eyes, I wanted her to ask him questions. I felt like so much more platonic bonding could have happened between them, but the authors chose not to go that route and Penelope’s character suffered for it.
I was bothered by the fact that the dead brother and sister-in-law were glossed over so casually. Sure, Jonah mentions that taking care of Tucker has helped him heal, but my goodness, their deaths were super recent but he doesn’t bring it up in his mind but once in the beginning and then never again, and not to Penelope at all. They weren’t treated as real characters; they were simply a reason for Jonah to have a baby, but it not be biologically his.
There’s one other little detail that bugged me when I realized it. Penelope is described as wearing tiny shorts, thin-strapped tank tops, and flip flops most of the time, which I didn’t question until it hit me - if her birthday isn’t until June, and that’s four months away, that means she’s wearing next to nothing in February in New York City. It’s still cold as hell that time of year! Her clothing choices made much more sense after the three-month time jump, but in the beginning? The authors obviously overlooked the time of year and setting when writing this book.
Alright, so final thoughts. I did like the story and enjoyed the similarities to the first book. I’d still recommend it and will probably re-read it myself in the future. I did have issues with Jonah’s decisions, felt their relationship could have grown more (platonically) than it did, and thought Penelope could’ve been fleshed out a bit more that way.
And now, a list of cameos (Jonah is friends with the heroes of the three previous books):
--Justice and Blaire Kendall are the hero and heroine of His Love. She’s pregnant here, but it’s not mentioned whether it’s with the twins, or Samantha. They both appear on page.
--Thatcher and Imogene Kendall are the hero and heroine of Her Love. Thatcher is Justice’s brother. They’re only mentioned here and don’t appear on page.
--Jamison and Hazel Kennedy are the hero and heroine of Their Love. Jamison has a very brief, one-sentence appearance on page, but otherwise, he and Hazel are only mentioned.
I should also mention that baby Tucker also has his own book and his heroine is Eva Kendall, one of Justice and Blair’s daughters. Their story is told in First Love.
