I totally loved every story in this collection!:) There is something for everyone from cozy mysteries, intriguing characters, beautiful sweet romance, to feel good stories:) Each author did an amazing job bringing their characters and stories to life:) This would be a great collection to take anywhere:) I have read many of these stories separately, before they were part of this collection, and enjoyed reading them again:) You can read each story separately, or read multiple stories depending on your time frame:) I highly recommend this collection! Happy reading!

Anytime Escapes – This is a collection of eight stories, which six have been previous published, by four authors. The books with the unknown authors are the unpublished, at least I could not find them on Amz:US or GoodReads. Mays is the only author I have read previously, the others are new to me. Some have an overview, which I appreciate knowing what a story is about before I read it. I contacted Ms. Mays to review her books and received this one through Booksprout.
Sophie Mays, The Vacation Cottages - I've read several of Ms. Mays' book and this just became my favorite. If you enjoyed the movie The Holiday, you'll like this sweet, simple, quick to read, feel good story. Told in a lackadaisical style from both her and his views, of their adventures and discoveries for the three weeks during their house swap. The story is bright and shiny, with some really nice characters that bring the home feeling in both locations. Of course, there's a not so nice person that is necessary, but she's not evil on wheels, just selfish. I like there is never any stupid formulas being followed, just real people with real dialog set in a realistic world 4*
Unknown, Deceived By A Billionaire – This is my first read by this author and I could not get into it. I found the writing style amateurish and the storyline not to my taste. Newly wedded and he’s cheating on her and handles all the money, so she asks a report to investigate him because he, unlike a PI, doesn’t cost anything. 2*
Unknown, Riverside Ranch & Spa – I did not read this since I’m not sure if Unknown is the same author of Deceived By….
Rory Allison, Diamonds and Dirt - This is my first read by this author and I am surprised at how good the storylines and the characters are in this romantic suspense. Written in a casual conversational style, the story reads easily at a good pace. The characters are good and very likeable; Dorothy is my favorite – you’ll understand when you read this book. There’s a good mystery that changes many lives and of course, there’s a second chance at romance for him; she was clueless the first time. There’s a second book that continues the plans made by everyone, which may be just as interesting as this book. There is no cliffhanger ending. 4*
Stella Villeneuve, Killer Décor - This is my first read by this author and I did not finish the story. The simplistic writing style, the incorrect word usage and the dialog did not work for me. 2*
Sophie Mays, For Love . . . and Donuts #1 - I read the second book of this series first and I enjoyed this one more. The well thought out storylines just felt similar to slipping on a pair of comfy, cozy slippers and sharing a cup of tea. I liked the characters; they were so realistic and human, and worked so well together: Virginia , Tristan and Sam were perfect. Of course, the story needed Jason for to all end well. I found the cottage and the island to be important characters in their own right. This fast flowing, easy to read story was entertaining and enjoyable. I loved that the author gave enough details without doing the daily, boring grind some authors do; writing about every unimportant detail instead of letting time past and writing about the important parts. An enjoyable, clean, happy read. 4*
Sunny Brooks, A Simple Heart’s Journey Home - This is my first read by this author and I was not interested in continuing after a few pages. The character did not interest me nor the writing style and the lack of basic English rules; the lowercase usage of nouns that should be uppercase. 2*

Overall a good getaway book, especially if a mind vacation is as close as you're going to get to escaping anytime soon. I'm not a huge fan of some of the authors but I really enjoyed The Vacation Cottages and Welcome to Riverside Ranch: A Western vs. West Coast Sweet Romance by Sophie Mays. The fast-paced, sweet, romantic, storylines are believable. Many stories are so predictable: boy meets girl. they go on a single date that ends with a big bang boom, they fight, they break up, they kiss and they get married ending with an epilogue where they are proud parents of a beautiful baby, another on the way, and their puppy/kitten is the baby's best friend. Sophie Mays' storyline in Welcome to Riverside Ranch, in particular, was a thousand times truer to life, in my opinion, which is are really difficult to come by these days. I think that Ms. Mays may have herself a new fan.

In The Vacation Cottages, Margot Kelly just wants a vacation after working so hard for the paper for the past five years. Paul Rowland thought he was swapping his house to spend time with his girlfriend in Colorado until he walks in on her in the arms of another man. Now he just wants to escape his broken heart. They both have beautiful home not far from the water and through email communications with each other find out they have a lot in common. I loved reading about Paul’s beach house in Clearwater, Florida and all the cool places to visit and things Margot did while she was there. Magnolia Harbor, North Carolina sounded like a great place to visit too. I just wish the epilogue was longer and maybe took place later than the next day.

Delightful, easy read stories that let you quickly escape from the day (or week). It's a collection of stories from cozy mystery to romance. The setting is small towns that are the classic small town romance type of towns. An easy read anywhere, I would love to pretend I'm relaxing in nature reading, instead of avoiding the heat. It's a great way to read different authors and get their style/flavor. With 8 in the series, you don't have to worry about having to stop for a bit, as you can stop at the end of a story, do chores, eat whatever, then return to the next story. My favorite in the set was For Love.... and Donuts. Will probably read more by the author.

The book is a great collection to find out about new authors or dibble into a new genre during a long weekend or a few days at the beach.
Relaxing, entertaining and really enjoyable the stories are light-hearted and fun and mixed in a combination that is different enough to not get bored by reading the same over and over again.

This is a wonderful collection of stories. It is nice to have different genres available in one collection because sometimes what you read depends on how you feel. There are cozy mysteries, sweet romance, and feel-good stories.
The authors all did a delightful job with their characters and storylines. As the title says, this collection has "anytime escapes" that can be read anywhere, anytime.

This is a charming collection of stories that leave you feeling good. These are stories about family, friendships and new beginnings. I am so glad I was able to read this collection!
The writing draws you in and keeps you involved throughout the whole of each story. I found myself in love with not only the characters, but also the worlds that were created.
Great character development with enough of the everyday grind to really be able to sink into each and every book.

The perfect stories for sitting outside and getting yourself lost in a story, they are short enough that you can read one and then put the book down and then go and do other things and then come back to read again. Just As Advertised
These stories are all pleasant reads. Most are novella length, some shorter. I think that they are all worth looking at. I was very disappointed with the second story that started out all political and pornographic. Three of the stories I had read before and enjoyed their entire series. I am enjoying the stories in this set, though there was a story that had a fairly explicit sex scene, that could have been eliminated. Otherwise, totally enjoying all the stories.
