I Give this Book a 2.5ish Star Rating, Listing as 2.
Well near the end I was at 4 Stars, but that Epilogue for 2 years (2 Y.E.A.R.S) later immediately shot it down to 2.5 Stars.
This book is Super Fast Paced, if your looking for an in-depth Paranormal Reverse Harem than this isn’t quite it. This book didn’t feel well thought out, nor is there depth to characters, and I’m not kidding when it’s super rushed and quickly timed.
And another thing, the Synopsis doesn’t really match the book, honestly!

Since there is going to be another book 2 but it’s for another girl...

Harper (the MFC) is a regular teen, going to University and living with an annoying roommate. All that changes when on her way home one night she is kidnapped by a hot biker (Drake) and is taken to another University. One she has no intention of staying at. Until she finds out the reason she is there. They believe that she is a rare witch and one that they have been looking for for a long time. Oh and the intend on her being used for breeding stock to give birth to a new generation of witches and warlocks. Not the most welcome of news. So now shes the only witch in a University where everyone wants to bed her. Not only that but she has to go there with her kidnapper, the son of the head (Kingston) and a kind, loving shifter (Rowan). Full of complications. This book is fantastic. Great story, Great characters and a Great read all round

Poor Harper never had it easy and now is no different. After being tricked and ending up at the Academy she’s trying to come to terms with being a witch...supposedly. But after meeting a vampire, a warlock and a shifter Harper’s starting to realize that everything she thought she knew is not the case at all. Now certain futures depend on her but she’s going to do it on her terms hopefully with Kingston, Rowan and Drake by her side.

This is a different take on a Academy Book. We have Harper, whos mother died at childbirth and her father blames her and her brother. Her brother is always in trouble and she try's to be good. In college she is tormented, until one night she meets Drake and her world turns around. She is under lock and key at the Academy by the Warlocks. Kingston try's to help her but can he? Rowan is a shifter that guards the academy at night and she sneaks out to meet. What will happen if it is ever found out? What will happen if they find out Drake tasted my blood? What will happen when she and Kingston does not do what they want? Who can save who or will they kill each other?

Not quite what I was looking for...
I liked pieces of this story; the academy setting, the number of supernatural beings in it & the idea of the witch prophecy. But overall... I just didn't fall in love with the characters & it wasn't fleshed out enough for me. There was a lot of "telling" instead of "showing" & it left me a little unsatisfied & confused at the end, especially with the epilogue being set two years after all the drama went down. I wanted ALL of the dirty details but instead got a short summarization. #boo
Curious to see what happens next but I think I'll wait a while before continuing on with the series.

WOW! A college paranormal reverse harem. If you love witches, vampires, and shape shifters this is for you! Interesting page turner that has me wanting to follow the characters further. I want to know know about them and their academy years.
Author Lane Hart is new to me and I find her style easy to read and the characters relatable. The struggles and insecurities are age appropriate. One day being bullied and the next being the salvation as being the last witch.

Bad Witch by L.A. Hart a five-star read that will set your world on fire. This is number one in the Wicked Academy series and it starts with a bang that I can’t wait to see the explosions that will rock number two. I love Lane Hart and I love a good supernatural/reverse harem, but not everyone can pull it off, and Lane Hart, you pull it off so well it blew my socks off. Harper Rhodes you have the world at your feet, and I can’t wait to see you grow and develop In this amazing magical world.

Lane Hart has blown this one out of the water. This is book one of the "Wicked Academy" series, a reverse harem, paranormal, shape-shifter romance. This has every emotion on the rollercoaster that kept my stomach in knots waiting to see what happens. This is one you don't want to miss. I know I'll definitely be following this closely for the next one.

Uhm... I feel I must of read something different to everyone else because woah... This was bad.
Breakneck insta feelings, insta trust and giving it up for guys after what seems like a couple of encounters. I had an issue with this because in the beginning the main is portrayed as a good, church going Christian girl, and if she never went out except for church then surely there would be some more wariness and shit. Anyway, DNF from me.

Wow! Harper's story had me on the edge of my seat at times. I loved the differences between Drake, Rowan and Kingston. They each had a connection with Harper, ups and downs that kept me turning pages. I enjoyed the building of this world and look forward to more from the series.

OMG THIS IS A FANTASTIC FIRST BOOK IN THE SERIES !!!!! SUPER EXCITED FOR THIS SERIES
Harper Rhode has not had the best start in life. Her father is distant and blames her for the death of her mother when she was giving birth to her. She has never had any friends and college is not working out the way she wanted. Harper is out collecting her underwear after her room mate lined the trees with her bras and knickers. She was trying to hide when a man stops on his motorbike to see if she needs help. He said he would give her a lift back to her dorm and it is when they are on there way back she notices he takes a wrong turn. But its not a wrong turn he knows where he is going. Harper has just been kidnapped by a very good looking vampire called Drake and taken to Wicked Academy where she is told she is a powerful witch. Harper thinks they have all gone mad. The coven masters tell her she is the last witch and she holds the future of the their kind in her hands. That she must give them children, and the father must be a warlock. They want information on her family but she will not tell them. She must hide them.
Kingston the son of one of the masters is the warlock they want her to mate with but he doesn't want to force her and after fitting her with a shock collar he quickly gets her out of there. But when he is showing her where she will be staying she quickly runs but she runs into security. He is massive and doesn't look too impressed to be on patrol. Harper doesn't feel scared and learns he is Rowan, a tiger shapeshifter and for the first time all night feels like she has made a friend. He explains somethings to her about the coven,the Academy and tells her she can not escape he has tried. And when the collar starts to flash he tells her to go back and keep there meeting a secret. Kingston is glad she came back, he seems to care.
Drake is feeling bad at bringing Harper to the Academy but he also wants another taste of her blood. Its the best blood he has ever tasted. He is a jack the lad, full of funny banter and sex appeal and even tho Harper hates that he brought her here she finds herself forgiving him.
This is a brilliant book I couldn't put it down. Its super addictive. I loved the different strengths and goals she had with each of these men. But what I loved the most was Harper She knew what she wanted and she went after it. She grows in confidence not just with her men but with her beliefs.
I can NOT wait for the second book in this series I cant wait to see how and what these guys change at the Academy. Bring it on!!!!!!

Harper's relationships with each of her partners are intense and steamy and all of the men are unique, with an inner core of strength that makes the reader take their side in the struggle with evil and hold their breath until the conclusion.

Harper you bad lucky little witch you!!! For eighteen years, she didn’t even know the power she holds. Her father always kept her sheltered and timid to ever disobey his order. Not having the best of luck with her dorm mate her freshman year at college she encounters one of the three men who will forever change her life. Drake is a cute vampire, doesn’t take anything seriously after getting a second chance. That means everything goes if you catch my drift. And after seriously 🔩 Harper over in order for him to get his own leg up at the WICKED Academy he is plagued with guilt and an unruly hunger for Harper. See Harper is a witch, a rarity nowadays, and her blood is like an ambrosia. Everyone wants her.
Including the son of the head of the coven masters, Kingston. A warlock who has discovered his own way of unlocking his own power within. But he’s keeping that little tidbit to himself because hooking up with warlocks is very taboo. 😉. But there’s an magnetic pull between Harper and Kingston that’s more powerful than they are to deny themselves.
Then there’s big, tough forlorn Rowlan, a tiger shifter. He’s the first friend that Harper has ever made and she falls for him almost instantly. Two hearts 💞 finding one another after having their old worlds taken away.
This story is great! It’s very original. Loved all the characters and how this ménage works for all of them. No shame or ridicule. Just open minds and open hearts. Definitely for the mature crowd though. Lots of questions still linger though. Do we ever find out about Harper’s dad and mom? Does Hugo (Harper’s twin brother) ever make an appearance? And why do Warlock/Witch matings always have twins? What’s that about? I feel like this quadruple has so much more to offer story wise. I loved every moment of this story. Love that Harper comes into her own in every way a woman can. She owns her mind and heart and sexuality and she’s a total bad@$$ doing it. Love that she isn’t a damsel in distress, but a queen. Already preordered the next installment 🤗

And why do Warlock/Witch matings always have twins? What’s that about? I feel like this quadruple has so much more to offer story wise. I loved every moment of this story. Love that Harper comes into her own in every way a woman can. She owns her mind and heart and sexuality and she’s a total bad@$$ doing it. Love that she isn’t a damsel in distress, but a queen. Already preordered the next installment 🤗

I chose to read this book because I love the Academy genre, with or without RH. This one said it was for mature readers, as opposed to most, that are geared towards the Young Adult readership. It also said there were 'some' steamy scenes 😉🔥 I was all in 😂 Then I started reading ....
Unfortunately I found the storyline rather weak. It could've been made much more of but really wasn't 😔 The main character was kidnapped & taken to a Supernatural Academy as she was in fact a Witch. Although she had no idea Supernatural beings even existed let alone that she was one!! They'd been waiting for her prophesied arrival for hundreds of years to replenish the Warlock weakened bloodlines!! They needed to 'breed' her to gain strong magical Witches & Warlocks again as she was the last witch!!😳🙈 (Omg, I wanted to punch myself at this point) From this point onwards it devolved into, mostly, a sex fest, which was hot, but NOT what I wanted to read at the time!🙈🔥
I'll be honest here - This, to me, read more like Erotica than anything else! I love erotica as much as anyone, but I also like to choose it for myself. I was blindsided by the amount & frequency in this book!😳 This is not 'some'!!😡 Yes it was steamy, sexy & hot mmfm action 😉🔥🔥🔥 which I love reading but, like I said, I also like to choose my erotica not have it slipped in the back door - pun definitely intended!!😂😂 So if you're looking for a pretty blooming steamy, short on story but long on schlong, Academy read - A Bad Witch is your girl 😉💥

This is so out of my normal that it's scary...
I mean, I'm not into paranormal books but since the author of this one is someone that I love and admire I thought, why not...
Lane Hart has given me some of the best books I've ever read and with that thought in mind, I knew that I needed to give this a shot.

You know, I’m still wondering why it was okay for Harper to be repeatedly referred to as someone that will be “forcibly raped knocked up and breed” by several random warlocks so causally??? And the why the hell She just sat there and accepted it??
I’ll be honest towards the end, this was basically porn with a smidge of plot for me. A bland, fast paced and eye-rolling plot. Nothing interesting or serious happens in it. One minute you think the storyline is maybe getting somewhere good , and in the next; Harpers’ horny and a shifter or vampire or warlocks’ got his fingers in her Or something absolutely ridiculous happens to make light of a serious situation.
Didn’t enjoy the writing. Their interactions were very textbook-like and robotic. Think teen drama on steroids: Exaggerated and bland. I rolled my eyes at all the things they said and did.
And the heroine, she went from weak and painfully, painfully naive to “all powerful”, demanding sex and getting done in a broom closet, in mere seconds.
I’m still questioning whether or not this was actually intended for matured readers or semi teens?? 90% of this story; it’s dialogue and overall setting screamed Ya, but then when you have such detailed sex scenes and dirty talk, and people causally referring to rape left and right, I’m stuck wondering exactly what sort of psycho-fusion I’m reading?

Harper’s father always told her and her brother that they were cursed well she feels that way right now because her horrible college roommate and her boyfriend have taken all of Harper’s panties and bras and threw them up in the tallest trees. While Harper gets her pink pair of panties she slides down the tree which cuts her hands and legs but when she looks at them the blood is black and we all know that blood is red right she must be seeing things. A guy pulls up on his bike to see if she is alright he said jump on my bike and I will give you a lift back to your dorm but Harper said no thanks I’ll walk then he said give me a look at your hands he nearly accidentally said give me a taste, when they both looked at Harper’s hands they both gasped because her blood was black and she thinks that something is wrong with her but the guy said get on my bike I will take you back before someone see’s that and reports you as a supernatural so Harper did. Drake can’t believe his luck he actually convinced her to get on his bike but he has no plans to take her back to her dorm he’s going to take her to the academy instead take her to the coven masters who have become waiting for centuries for her. Drake has to taste her blood to make sure first so he accidentally scratches her leg yes he was right she is a witch. That’s all I’m going to give you guys but that is just the beginning of this amazing story and I highly recommend this book it’s definitely well worth the read.

I am NOT a usual reader of Paranormal Books, that being said, due to one of my favorite writers I am now a convert (at least for her and one other author who has helped introduce me). Harper thought she has been home schooled most of her life and kept naïve and under the strict control of her father due to his religious beliefs. When she finally has some freedom now that she is allowed to attend college, that freedom is quickly taken away when she is kidnapped by a handsome and quick talking Vampire, Drake. Once she awakens, she finds herself being tortured by a Warlock names Voss and everyone keeps telling her she is a long awaited Witch that is supposed to save the Warlocks from extinction.. When she meet Kingston, Voss' son, she is finally given some freedom and starts to find out about Wicked Academy where she is being held captive. She also begins to awaken her sexual appetite thanks to a shifter named Rowan who is supposed to be off limits to her. For those who don't normally read Paranormal (like I am), this is a great book to dip your toes into especially if you like Reverse Harems. Do yourself a favor and give this book a chance, you may find that you are a "closet Paranormal Reader" as I did.

Some scraped knees a bad prank and a ride on a motorcycle are all it takes to mess up Harper's already unpleasant college life now shes been kidnapped and hit on by some perve old Warlocks that need her to make babies before there race dies out. Evan though the head creepster Voss has a really hot son Kingston that she would consider but she's 18 and not ready for motherhood. The hot Shifter Rowan is making her reconsider allot of things, then there's the vamp Drake that brought her to this awful place now he can't live without her blood they all want her but can they learn to tolerate each other for her sake or will the old creepy guys win. I liked it but i would have liked to here more about Harpers brother and what happened with her father maybe other books in this series will explain it further also the relationship between two of Harper's romantic interest I didnt mind it I just would have liked them to really only be into her. That was my main reason for the rating of 4 instead of 5 stars.

I honestly don’t like the shifter, vampire genre at all but hesitantly decided to try this book cause I love Lane Hart storylines. I loved this story not only did I have a hard time putting the book down but I didn’t want the story to end. Harper is a witch but she didn’t realize it, after being kidnapped and forced into the academy for the supernatural she meets Drake, Kingston and Rowan. A vampire, a warlock and a shifter. I was hesitant to read a book with all 3 but it made it more interesting. I loved the different relationship she developed with all three of these guys and their own stories. There were so many twist and turns in this story I didn’t know what to expect next or how it would end. Which is refreshing after reading romance so much which sometimes follows the same format. I was actually mad at myself for hesitating to start this book and happy I decided to try it and open my mind to another type of love. I can’t wait for more in this series. And more from Harper, Drake, Kingston and Rowan. I highly recommend reading this one and trying something new.

There was a lot of potential for this story, but I feel like it did not quite measure up to it. The whole plot was about the last witch who would have babies to repopulate the witches and save the witches/warlocks for becoming human essentially. The story focuses on her sorta getting to know her 3 guys which quickly becomes sexual and the warlock elders trying to force her into being a breeding mare. The story would've benefitted from her learning about the world she's been introduced in and her past. The epilogue as always is a time jump for the story and gives us a view of the changes in the world as well as the main characters, but gives us little look at what is to come. The author plans to make the series with different characters from the stories for each book and you get a little look at the men from the next book during the epilogue.

This was a good quick read. The basics is that Harper is kidnapped by Drake (a vampire) and taken to the Wicked Academy where she finds out she is a witch and is to mate with warlock to keep their race strong. She does not believe she is a witch and is temporarily saved by the headmasters son Kingston who is a warlock. Of course he has his own plans on using Harper. She then befriends Rowan who is a shapeshifter. Harper has no powers which she finds out is because she is a virgin. She does not want to mate with any of the warlocks and decides to mate with Rowan first before they force her to mate with a warlock. But before that can happen, they try to force her hand. Thru everything that happens while she is at the academy, she starts to develop feelings for Rowan, Drake, and Kingston.

This book was incredible. I'll be honest and say this was my first paranormal romance read and I was a tiny bit nervous going in. However, I've loved everything from this author so decided to take the chance to branch out of my comfort zone, and I am forever happy I did!! Hart did not disappoint in the least.
I absolutely loved this story and all of the characters. Just when you start to fall hard or make up your mind about one of the love interests, she mixes it up and gives you more of another one. That's the fun of reverse harems, and Hart always delivers with this trope.
Definitely would recommend this book! To anyone looking to try something new, paranormal fans, reverse harem fans, school romances...this book falls into so many categories and you won't want to miss out. So excited for more from this academy in book 2 coming soon!!
