, and he was AWESOME, AMAZING, RIVETING, MESMERIZING. Never even spoke a word. But GOD! the FEELS!!!!!

. Your head will blow off at the stuff these 2 are getting up to
, I've heard plenty of readers say they just read whatever they want and like them just fine out of order.

, it was an incredibly thorough and thought-out review. And I look back and thing, yeah, I'd agree with it for some of the comments, but because I'm so embedded into this world, and because I've seen who the world evolves and the author's style and story-telling evolves, I understand in a way why book 1 was the way it was, then book 2, then book 3 is so diff again, and book 4, and etc.
: unique for the ancient history (Rome, China) mixed with modern times, and a complex set up to a complex world.
: unique for the ancient history (Akkadian empire) and the star-crossed love between a Dark One and a human (and Pure One)
: unique in that it's totally set in Japan, with modern and historical Japan, and Ninja assassin-shadow warrior, and the very focused nature of the book without a lot of POVs
: unique for the heroine with Asperger's. And this novel pulls many of the threads from book 1-3 together. This is where the entire series just rachets to a whole new speed
: unique for the introduction of "shifter" and the tortured love that spans thousands of years. This one totally RUINED me!
: unique for the man with no memory (who is actually a vampire shadow warrior) and a BADDIE from previous novels! who is redeemed
: unique in that the entire novella is told from Sophia's first person POV, and you see more than what's been shown thus far (admittedly didn't like her until now) and why she's the way she is
: unique in the focus on the heroine, the most alpha, sensual of all heroines - the most powerful Dark queen in the world, and how Seth wins her love, plus the vivid details into her Chinese background. This couple was introduced in book ONE. This is how interwoven this world is. AND the intrigue in politics of the Dark Ones world
: unique for the animal spirits. Enough said. Totally added a whole new dimension to the series!
: unique for the entire POV in Dalair's words. A mysterious character we meet in BOOK ONE and Sophia's true love. The HURT! This one totally wrecks you.
THIS BOOK...unique for THE TIGER KING! A man who doesn't speak, yet whose personality and presence are larger than life. An animal who falls in love with an ordinary human woman. THE HUMOR! The stronger you are, the greater your weakness.
“Maddie, you’re adorable. So adorable I just want to eat you up sometimes.”
The animal, the man.
The prisoner, the king.
You want to know me, little cat, he said to her silently. Look at the male who is loving you, inside you, now.
She felt like a plump marsh mellow toasting over a fire every time she was near him.
“It is you,” she whispered. “For a second there I thought I might have thrown myself at the wrong tiger.”

THIS BOOK...unique for THE TIGER KING! A man who doesn't speak, yet whose personality and presence are larger than life. An animal who falls in love with an ordinary human woman. THE HUMOR! No female will ever ride me like this, he vowed silently, willing her to understand through their fused gazes. No female will ever own me like this. Only you, Maddie mine. Only you will have the power to break me. He opened his eyes wide, then, and let her see everything inside of him. The animal, the man. The prisoner, the king.

Only you will have the power to break me.
He opened his eyes wide, then, and let her see everything inside of him.
The animal, the man.
The prisoner, the king.
It was the curse of every Beast: to have the undying loyalty of the purest animal, and to love deeper than any man…

"Tiger, don't be mad," she chuckled low. "I'm just happy that I have the privilege of being the first to kiss you, if that's why you're scowling so hard right now. I really, really want to kiss you. Hold still."
He dodged her puckered lips when she came at him like one of those she-apes in the jungle when they taunted predators from high up in their trees. Or taunted a stupid male ape in the mating ritual before pushing him off precarious limb.
and he was shot by none other then our mind controlled Dalair. Now Goya has lost an ability due to the shot wound and is all alone and homeless in the streets of Portland, Maine. He has to adapt and learn to live as a human to survive, but many of his past memories begin to surface and emotion becomes one of his biggest obsticles.
