Author also writes as Kelly Fletcher

“The Singing Author,” Kelly Genelle Fletcher, lives in her very own frat house in Atlanta, GA with her husband Ladd and three sons. She writes her heartwarming/closed-door romance books under her name, Kelly Fletcher, and her steamier books under her pen name, KG Fletcher.

As a singer/songwriter she became a recipient of the “Airplay International Award” for “Best New Artist” showcasing original songs at The Bluebird Café in Nashville, TN. She earned her BFA in theater at Valdosta State University, and has traveled the world professionally as a singer/actress. She is a two-time Georgia Maggie Award Nominee, and currently gets to play rock star as a backup singer in the National Tour, “Remember When Rock Was Young – the Elton John Experience.”

Kelly is a hopeless romantic. When she’s not on the road singing, she’s probably at home daydreaming about her swoony book boyfriends, or arranging a yummy charcuterie board while sipping red wine and listening to Frank Sinatra. She's also a conference speaker and loves to interact with readers on social media and share about her writing and singing journey. Unexpected was a sweet and romantic read, coming close to a Mills & Boon feeling.

The third person pov writing style held me back to a great extent. Although there was romance in the air, it didn’t have an authenticity.
Will and Josh had feelings for each other but didn’t managed to be delivered to me. Yes, there were turns and twists, as well as plenty of angst, but it didn’t have sparks as to be dazzled.
It was a lovey dovey fairytale..

Unexpected was such a sweet and romantic read, not only were the characters relatable but the whole story as a whole will definitely leave you wanting for more. At the beginning of the story we get to meet Josephine Davis, she wasn't looking for love but at a chance encounter she gets to meet William Prescott and soon things start to change in her life. Through a series of events, Josephine is thrust into a whole new world where she can truly be herself and finally get her happily-ever-after.

The attraction that Will and “J” have is magnetic and it quickly grows as the two start to spend more time together. Yet there are things that Josephine still has to resolve in order to move on. After getting stood up by her fiance at the altar, J has trouble trusting and letting herself truly be loved. On the other hand, Will has no trouble getting attention from other women. Being a millionaire and one of Atlanta's most eligible bachelors has its perks for Will, but never has he ever being serious with anyone and that soon changes when he meets Josephine. He wants to give her everything that she desires, yet there are things that don't want to see them together, and it'll be up to them to decide if it's worth taking the next step in their relationship or not.

I very much enjoyed reading Unexpected, Will is such a sweetheart and very devoted boyfriend. Josephine has a past that she is not completely over with, especially when it comes to her ex fiancee. There story does move rather quickly at the beginning, but we do get to see them evolve throughout as well. We do get a log of twists and turns which I liked, the ending was different and refreshing to read. I would highly recommend reading this book, it totally worth it. The steamy scenes and romantic scenes between the characters did not disappoint at all, there were sweet and very fitting to the overall story. I will most certainly be reading more from the author in the future. ;)

Unexpected is KG Fletcher’s debut novel. This story was an easy read, with two engaging heroes and enough suspense to keep you turning the pages. This book definitely picks up momentum in the second half.

Josephine “Jo” Davis’s world is turned upside down after a chance encounter with William “Will” Prescott Harrington III on the side of the highway. The attraction between them is instant, but Jo has trust issues. She thinks Will is just an outrageous flirt and wonders what he sees in her. Her initial distrust is totally understandable, she was left at the altar by her cheating fiancé.

Will is resolute, knows precisely what he wants and doesn’t care that they come from opposite side of the tracks. He is one of Atlanta’s most eligible bachelors and a Southern gentleman through and through, but he has never found his perfect match. Will is intense and is not one for half measures. Although they get along very well as a couple, Jo still feels insecure. She is convinced Will’s upper crust family will never welcome her. This appeared totally undeserved and I have to admit that I didn’t fully understand her attitude at this point in the story. A deeply traumatic event will reinforce Will and Jo’s feelings for one another and prove that even if they have been star-crossed lovers, they have a bright future ahead of them.

Overall, I enjoyed this story. There were enough twists and turns to keep me flipping the pages and both characters definitely grew on me. The first part of the story was rather predictable, but the second part, with more angst and intensity, won me over. I’ll definitely follow this debut author in the future and I can’t wait to see what she has in store for her readers!

Fun summer beach read. Looked forward to picking it up. Enjoyed all the Atlanta references. Not sure a guy like this exists outside fantasy but isn't this the point of a great romance? The suspense plot adds more interest. Will definitely read more of her books.

If a flat tire always leads to a hot, steamy romance, I think we’d all go around slashing tires, but that’s exactly what happens to Josie. When a fancy sports car causes her to swerve off the road, she certainly doesn’t expect a tall, dreamy man to come to her rescue from said sports car. As an apology, he invites her to an afternoon of swimming, which leads to a tender, feel good romance. Josie and Will both agree their mutual attraction was unexpected, but beware—that’s how Fletcher lures you in…Then BOOM! she surprises you. I can’t hint at one thing without giving the surprise away more than I already have, but I can guarantee readers that it was unexpected. A wonderful debut by romance writer KG Fletcher!

Josie Davis was left standing at the alter by her ex.... She's over men, She's focusing on paying off her debts, working hard and moving on with life. In a freak minor road incident she finds herself standing on the side of the road with a flat tyre, when a Porsche pulls up, and the driver is the most beautiful man she's ever laid eyes on.

William Prescott Harrington III feels responsible for the young woman standing on the side of the road, so he goes back to help her... But he wants more time with her. Josie and William spend the afternoon together... pretty soon they're making more plans, spending more time together, enjoying each other's company.

When Josie's ex reappears in her life it changes things and not in a good way. She's scared, and William tries to protect her, but there's only so much he can do, then the story takes another turn of events and Josie is still in danger, this time due to William's wealth. Josie ends up almost dying cold, dehydrated and alone all because William is wealthy. But she can't live without him, and he can't live without her. They need to have their first Christmas together and start new traditions.

This story could have been so much better than it was. William is 39, he's a millionaire bachelor who just invites a random woman home to swim at his house minutes after meeting her on the side of the road? And he's a hair stylist? And and and and.... I could go on, but I won't. The story didn't flow well, it was as if creating random links to make the storyline fit would be good in theory, but it wasn't. It felt sort of like the elbow was attached to the wrist without a forearm. Good in theory but the movement of the arm would be hindered imo. Was an ok read.

When Josie's fiancé stands her up on her wedding day, she tries to get on with her life. She moves into her own apartment and takes every day as it comes. So when she is accidentally driven off the road by a sleek, black Porsche, the last thing she expects is to meet the charming and attractive William Prescott Harrington lll. Once he fixes her tire, he invites her back to his place for a swim...

Josie is unlike anyone that William has ever met before. She is strong, sassy, and very sweet after everything that she has been through. She hasn't let her ex-fiancé leaving her at the alter affect her.

When the friendship they have turns into more, and they finally give into their attraction for one another...it's off-the-pages steamy. Will is really sweet and playful with her, but also fiercely protective after a few run-ins with her ex.

This book had just the right amount of drama going on and kept me intrigued until the very last page. This was my first book by the author and I look forward to reading her other books.

The last thing Josephine was looking for was love. So, when a car runs her off the road effectively making her get a flat tire she doesn’t expect what happens next. William is the most unexpected person she ever thought to meet. Let alone begin a relationship so soon after being jilted. As their relationship grows so do the hidden dangers they both have. When Josephine’s life is endangered they will truly learn how important they are to each other.

This was a fantastic romantic suspense novel. I normally don’t like the quick love stories. I tend to find them unbelievable. I even had to put this book down because of it. But, when I picked it back up I completely fell in love with the story. Josephine and William really grew on me. K.G Fletcher’s ability to weave a quick moving love story that is laced with suspense and mystery is phenomenal. All around this is one story that I didn’t want to put down. I definitely wanted more when I finished the last page. Overall, if you like romance and suspense this is one book you won’t want to skip.

KG Fletcher is new on my radar and like Will and Josie's story, she proved to be an unexpected surprise. Unexpected is about exploring the world less traveled when the curveballs of life throw you off course. Bride to be, Josie had her life all planned until her wedding becomes a major flop leaving her jilted and uncertain. Enter Will. Sexy, wealthy and kind, he shows her a world she could only dream of and a love she's been searching for all her life. What she fails to realize is that Will has his own baggage to contend with and life in the fish bowl that he lives in isn't always pretty. Will the challenge prove to be the downfall for these star crossed lovers? A fresh perspective to an age old tale.

One thing about romances that I love the most is when a man looks at you like you the only one in the world. William Prescott is all this and more when it comes to his Josie. The chemistry and love might have been a whirlwind but you cannot stop fate when it is in control. KG Fletcher created such a sweet romance for a woman who well deserves happiness and gets so much more. I liked the most of the book is that William is not just a wealthy man but rich with a heart of gold. Loved it.

Will leave you feeling good 💖🥰

This starts out sweet, with a H who seems almost too good to be true and a h who’s sweet, likable, and kind. At about the halfway point it really picks up into a more suspenseful page turner. The ending is a bit like a fairy tale, but will leave you feeling so good.

If you enjoy a sweet love story with some heat and suspense, as well as one that leaves you with a good feeling at the end, this is for you.

DNF 40%. I was hoping the story would get going, but after 40% it was still so flat. Every sentence of conversation uses the other person's name, which is irritating and not how you talk in real life.
